Past writers /co/ would call SJW
>Jack kirby
>writer
He's more of an author since he drew and wrote his stories.

>forced sjw bullshit, Green Arrow is not a commie!
>>77498350
>mfw it's true
Will you miss Garfield once it ends?
>>77498180
It feels jarring seeing a Garfield strip with smart phones
>>77498180
I will never miss a comic strip more than Calvin & Hobbes.
>>77498180
Is it ending, or are you just posing a hypothetical?
So a question about Transformers, how did it get so.,, "fannish" by that I mean with DC and Marvel, or even stuff like Dr Who, fans eventually take over, it's the natural order of nerdy things, but with TF, you have stuff like Ask Vector Prime and Universal streams and AllSpark Alamancs, that just seem so...fullkf artifice, like there is this entire autism driven subculture of the franchise that has a litle foothold inthe publication, and while I love it when various stry threads and concepts are woven into something new, when that is done as a end to itself it smacks of headcanon fanwank rather than legitimate story telling.
Especially the funpub stufd where you have plotlines and stories contorting all over the place to justify irl concepts.
Old fan here, the fan universal stream stuff is the fruit of two things.
1- TF fans are really territorial about their nostalgia and want to be told over and over that the old stuff they like is not gone forever.
2- 20 years of interaction between Hasbro staff and fans means that a lot of people have become good friends, some of those friends were already working in the publishing and media business, so some of them got hired into those positions.
So it's exactly what happened with DC and Marvel, except a little crazier and goofier because they don't think anyone takes that Funpub-style material seriously, so they have fun with it.
It's technically canon and official, but nobody other than some majorly autistic fans really takes it in stride.
>>77498235
Yeah I understand that I just found t odd, that there is an entiee region of the official lore that is the exclusive domain of fanwank.Like, imagine if Hypercrisis threads were officially published by DC.
>>77498285
Right, but all of that lore is only relevant in their own niches. You're not seeing that stuff outside of the funpub comics (which are only read by hardcore fans that actualy enjoy that inside-joke-ish stuff) and so on.
The people that work on it take it less seriously than fans do because they know at the end of the day they're nothing compared to the people working in the retail-released comics and cartoons.
But not before we'll find food and water.

>They investigate The Slant.
>Turns out its the leaning tower of pizza.
>They great wastes actually span over where the Atlantic ocean once was.
>We discover Holly hates Italian.
>>77498142
Wait a minute. Is the story just going to ignore all those mutts and Quake missiles and shit? I mean, it was right there. Now they're just going to walk away and we never got answer as to what was happening?
Poor form Neathery
>>77498287
There's a giant crater, a lot of sand, and a possible landmark '/' in the distance. They have no rope, a bunch of Dittoes, a kid, and a violent psycho.
Where do you want them to start investigating?
ITT: Books that are literally a parody of themselves.
I was speechless when I read that book.
Is it really literally a parody, or are you just a moron?
>>77498101
Was it really that bad?
Is Will Magnus the luckiest guy on the planet or what?
Platinum is fucking hot.
>>77497873
Platinum is heavy as fuck

Isn't that kinda incest, he made her right?
>>77497889

>Climate change virtually guarantees that we'll get a new Captain Planet cartoon eventually,
Git hype.
>>77497606
I don't think you know how long people have been complaining about climate change.
>>77497619
If anything, there are less people talking about climate change now than 10 years ago.
Why is heart an element? Why is it the domain of some native american twink?

Thoughts?
>>77456295
Most of them look pretty shitty. I'm glad they stuck with just five, otherwise it would probably be muddled.
>>77456295
The one in the OP, the zoot suit Envy and Gloom are the only decent ones and they're still worse than the final Disgust, Fear and Anger designs. I didn't like Joy's design much but it's still better than most of these too. They just feel to generic, like some low budget british toddler show.
>>77456340
>muddled
How about Toy Story?
I'm assuming that if Disgust ended up as pic related, Joy would have more attention.
I've only seen season 1 on Hulu but I already love it. What can I expect from season 2?
Rebecca Sugar is a race mixer. You shouldn't watch this show.
>>77497584
what about this show appeals to you? why are you willingly infantilizing and pacifying yourself with children's cartoons?
>>77497584
It goes downhill after that
Trust me
Is there a more annoying character?
I know this is bait because Miko was the best character with actual growth during the series.
I always hate bumblebee more than the human cast. He's just the worst of both world, a shitty robot mascot made to appeal to kid self insert.
>>77497533
Why, I do believe it's time for some obscure George Tuska comics!I'm guessing most people's weekends were pretty shit.

>>77497371
Because they know he's the best of them.
Why does Disney even need to keep lobbying for the extension of copyright? Isn't Mickey trademarked? As far as I know, trademarks don't expire if they're still in use.
>>77497338
Mickey is a trademark and nobody is protected as long as Disney renews the trademark. The reason they keep extendeding copyright is because they don't want anyone to profit off their old films. That's it. The films made from public domain characters.
Money.
>>77497338
Trademark would protect advertising using their brand, but wouldn't stop their use.
So, for example, one would be able to include Mickey in their cartoon, just wouldn't be able to use his name for marketing or titles.
WA-CHA!

Jack vs the Ninja had the msot God-tier fight scene

GODU GEBA BA TODA PASS SAMURAI JAK
does anyone else jimmy neutron dying of cancer in the last episode? i'm not even fucking lying right now, the final episode aired and i saw it as it was airing. i'm trying to convince someone that jimmy died in the last episode and left notes for sheen not to touch his shit, but they don't believe me. that's how planet sheen started, because sheen didn't listen and blasted off into space. i swear, he got cancer and died. anyone else see this as it aired?
>>77497157
Have you been reading too much fanfiction? Because I'm pretty sure that's a common plot device in JN fanfiction stories--Jimmy gets cancer and Cindy feels sorry for him, or something...
>>77497157
He left notes for Sheen to not touch his stuff, but he didn't die.
I too mistake my dreams for canon events sometimes.
