The current Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series is in its last season, and as some of you may have heard, a new one, Rise Of The TMNT, will take its place in 2018 (September, I'm told).
Not going to reveal in what capacity, but I worked on this last season a little bit, and its not without its perks. Namely, some of us got a sneak preview of the new show. Nothing in terms of animation or anything, just some concept art (pic related, but its all I have) and a few plot details.
What I know:
>2D animation, said to be in the vein of Teen Titans.
>More humor oriented than the last one, no clue to what extent.
>The turtles are going to have some sort of mystical powers. Think Ninja Tribunal from the 4kids series. From what I understand, it ties into their origin somehow, which is supposedly pretty different. They have stones in their belts that help them channel their energy. Probably a toy gimmick.
>The turtle designs are like Mirage meets the Michael Bay movies. Not my ideal versions to pull from but they look decent. They all look pretty similar except for Donny's goggles, Leo's got some armor, Raph has the du-rag like in the new movies, & Michelangelo's got some "cool" accessories.
>Splinter plays a much lesser role, didn't see his design.
>April is a teenager again, looks a bit like the current version but with really puffy pigtails and she's sorta chubby. And she has a sword.
>There is no Shredder in this series. Not sure if that's just at first or a permanent thing.
>Pizza is literally the turtles' biggest weakness now. They have to deal with how it negatively affects their focus and physical condition. Hate this idea. Pizza is a staple but it shouldn't be anything more than an occasional gag.
>No word on voice cast yet.
>There will be teasers at New York Comic Con, don't think they plan to reveal the actual designs until Toy Fair next year. Oops!
I don't think I know much else to say but if you wanna ask, give it a shot.

Is this supposed to be good in some strange way?
>Pizza
>Weakness

Oh jesus fuck that logo
Sounds dope enough to me.
>Someone who's been reading Marvel Comics for 5 decades
>no more of a "fan" than someone who's been reading for 5 minutes.
Even had a chance to explain himself better and he doubled down.
What a hot take! Really makes you think.
because comics are an irrelevant and dying art form
the industry will accept anyone who buys their worthless shit.
someone who's been reading spiderman for 50 years probably doesn't buy shit anymore since he knows only 1/10 runs will even be worth reading, let along actually good.
the new fan is probably some dipshit liberal who actually buys the comic, but only because spiderman is now a gay gook dating a black muslim
the market goes where the money is
What did Big Bob see in her?
>>94296810
She probably use to have more energy and confidence before big bob raped their daughter and she started drinking.
pussy game ridiculous
she fun when young
is it a good thing Summer goes on adventures with them now? No more room for good jokes or storytelling when we got two EDGELORDS to deal with.
>>94296390
I think seeing her evolution in response to the wacky science-fiction adventures in comparison to Morty is quite interesting. Morty has become quite a bit more jaded, but still tries to keep some semblance of morality. He even calls out when Rick goes to far at times. Summer, on the other hand, seems to have started reveling in her grandfather's nihilism, to the point of bloodthirst.
>>94296436
Yeah, but the ending of S3E2.
And the bit with her as a wife was clearly meant to mirror Rick's wife.
>>94296390
What part of her being able to come on adventures means that she'll be in all of them?
This could've been great.
>>94296315
Nazis fucking everything up isn't something new
>>94296315
I kind of wish it got better art for the miles vs. steve roger fight.
>>94296315
Instead, we now have retarded Spencerfags saying "I'm a huge Frankfag and Frank would totally work for genocidal and well-known villains just to catch small-time criminals".
Thanks, Nick Spencer. Now people think that all Frankfags are retarded.
Do you think Christina Miller masturbates with all the money she makes from airing TTG so much?
>>94295846
Probably. I would.
>>94295846
I kinda want her to turn CN into a TTG 24/7 channel so that after the channel is run into the ground it can be picked up by someone who knows not to make that mistake again
>>94295846
I think women should never be put in charge of anything.
>Spider-Man: Homecoming's global cume of $633.7 million places it firmly in last place. It's nowhere near Sam Raimi's trilogy and still has some way to go before topping The Amazing Spider-Man 2's $709 million.

There a good copy on the internet of this movie yet?
You're way too invested in this for someone who probably isn't literally invested in it.
>The Battle Between Jim Henson’s Kids and Ex-Kermit Steve Whitmire Gets Uglier

>Whitmire responds to allegations of bad business conduct
https://stevewhitmire-muppetpundit.com/2017/07/18/early-influences-on-my-business-conduct/
TL;DR, Steve was one of two active Muppeteers remaining from the days Jim Henson walked the earth. He was trained by Jim, worked on The Muppet Show and several of the classic Muppet films, and was chosen by Jim's son to inherit the role of Kermit when Jim died. Disney suddenly fires him for vague, half-explained reasons while the Henson kids throw shade at him for no apparent reason.
Two weeks ago this was a hot topic here on /co/, but have we really moved on? Should we move on? Are we (and by 'we' I obviously mean the Muppet fans of /co/) just going to let Disney get away with this?
>>94295423
What the fuck are we gonna do about you, you whiny bitch - boycott Disney? Write them angry emails? Piss on Jim Henson's grave?
Seriously, what the fuck do you think you can accomplish here? We're talking about Disney. One of their lawyers so much as blinks in your direction and you vanish off the face of the earth.
>>94295453
We could find the person ultimately responsible for it all and cut their tongue out.
>>94295493
I unironically support this notion
>Good start.
so i guess it's all but confirmed that surma bonds with anthony over forest-related things. is this also when he meets coyote?
I'm guessing Anja's mother died, if they need to go see her dad.
>tfw you're old enough that these fashions and interior designs are nostalgic.
I wonder if the 'always the present' thing with Gunnerkrigg's timeline also applies to adult flashbacks.
>Loserrr...

I see the driveway is still broken.
>>94294212
Fucking driveways and rooftops are more on-model than Steven Universe.
we've had cases when writers expect you to like a character, but do nothing to make you like them (Lisa, Brian, pretty much anyone writer mouth piece or pet character)
but Jerry is a character the writers expect you to hate, despite having so many episodes showing he's not worth hating
Sana Amanat is going to be fired from Marvel as the sacrificial lamb Rich Johnston mentioned being terminated from Marvel to appease the Mouse and fans.
The termination will be sugar-coated and presented as "mutual departure" (complete with golden parachute severance package) but it's a firing designed mainly to punish her for running Marvel into the ground with her bullshit diversity crap.
Her being fired comes off of a bit of Game of Thrones level jockying to find a sacrificial lamb. Sana wanted David Gabriel to be fired for daring to speak the obvious (minority books don't sell) but Ike intervened and demanded Sana's head be offered up.
Ike and Sana don't like each other at all, both over politics and what he feels was her poisoning the well regarding the Inhumans. Ike believes that had Sana not killed sales by replacing all of the white heroes with minorities, then Marvel would be making enough money to allow Ike to continue to push the Inhumans over the X-Men.
Sana's going to be fired and current plans are to promote Bendis to her position; another sacrificial offering, since Bendis would be removed from the day to day and be handcuffed by Ike and the suits, since after Sana's antics, whoever replaces her will have a fraction of the power she did.
So yeah, Sana's going to be fired. And while everyone involved will be lying through their teeth when it gets publicly announced, she was fired for ruining the company. And more to the point, is going to walk away with a rather large pound of flesh in terms of bribe money to keep her from launching jihad against Marvel for kicking her and all of her evil works, to the curb.
Praise Jesus.........
SEEMS LEGIT.
my uncle works at marvel and can confirm this
>>94293030
I believe every word this man says completely and harbor no doubts or disbelief in his statements.
Why did people want this?
This is a very good question.
Why would any fan of anything want an adaptation by Sony fucking Pictures? It baffles me when people get all mad they didn't bastardize Popeye on their studi, I mean haven't they learned anything after TASM 2?
The Sneak Peek you got that picture from looked real good
>>94293122
No, it didn't. It really, really didn't.
Off the top of my head I can remember the "It's raining men" meme and the annoying dance meme.
I can't imagine how horrible the movie would have been.

>>94292920
Because western animation has fallen so low that Family Guy looks good in the animation department by default at this point. This is why I have given up on the cartoon half of /co/.
It was really floaty with everything being right there for them to pick up, it was like watching a stickman fight in pivot
>>94292920
I really hate how over fucking exaggerated these scenes are. They literally kill half of the fucking school
IIT: Scenes that are actually kind of fucked up when you think about it

So I guess Treasure Planet was going to have a sequel and then a TV series like Tarzan, Aladin, etc. if the first movie did well like they hoped. Thoughts on this? Not surprising if this thread turns into talking about Cyborg-Anon
