Answering a fan's question as to whether he'd accept a job as DC's EiC if he thought he could put it back on track, Brevoort had this to say:

Since everyone hates the character designs in The Good Dinosaur, let's talk about actual good character design, both 3D and 2D.

Buzz and Woody are, to this day, Pixar's best character design.

Woody has tons of detail and props on him.
His giant holster, the etching on his boots and all the little bits of stitching you can see

Buzz is absolutely gorgeous in terms of color choice. The green and purple is a great combination ofc, and all the little stickers and blinking lights on him are cool too.

Just a lot of thought and care put into the both of them that sort of waned after Toy Story, that I don't think any 3D animated movie has matched since

I can't fucking stand this overpowered Mary Sue piece of shit. Boring character, boring OP power set, no weaknesses, hasn't jobbed to any other hero in years, has no real flaws, shit tier supporting characters, has no great and iconic stories about her.

Why does Wonder Woman completely suck as a character.

Coupled with the comics being what they are and have been, being an X-Men fan is true suffering. How fucked are Fox's superhero properties next year? Where do they go from here if it's truly as bad as it could be? Another (this time full) reboot cycle? They're not going to cut a deal with Marvel, so don't give me that bullshit.
