Been on a Star Wars hype since Force Awakens came out, watched all the movies and the clone wars and read some of the canon/non-canon comics. Anyone give me a list of some essential reads? Preferably canon or some good non canon?

>Preferably canon or some good non canon?
Some of the best stuff is non-canon.
>>78532117
Read the adventures of tag and bink.
>>78532117
The KOTOR comics are pretty good. With all the references in canon works, they'll end up being canon again, one day.
i got into a specific mental state (not saying which one because of that stupid Seth Rogen meme) with my friend and we decided to sit on the couch and watch adult swim
i started noticing in American dad, Cleveland show, and newer episodes of family guy that the animations felt like a smoother version of go animate during dialogue...they just stand completely still with only facial expressions and the occasional head or arm/hand movement....absolutely no attention below the waist
i then saw a commercial for Mike Tyson mysteries (iirc a much lower budget show) and the animation felt far more superior
i then looked up seasons of family guy that were still drawn (seasons 1 and 2 it looks like, correct me if I'm wrong) and there was true expressions through movements throughout the body even in dialogue
am I the only one who notices this sort laziness in more recent Seth McFarlane cartoons?

>am I the only one who notices this sort laziness in more recent Seth McFarlane cartoons?
Yes.
No one has ever noticed this before you.
I've got the president on the phone right now and he wants you to speak at a press conference. Can you be in Washington by Friday?

>Am I the only one
Not by a fucking mile. The lazy canned animation is one of the biggest complaints I see about these shows.

Introducing SleepyCast
which is better for jimmy neutron had better characters and writing and dexter just had slap stick
>>78531921
That's like comparing omelette and fromage.
>>78531948
Comparing Dexter's Lab & Jimmy Neutron is a bit like comparing Dexter's Lab & Jimmy Neutron.
>old lady
>kicks everyone's ass and/or is radical/extreme
boy am i sick of this
When was the last time you saw this?
>>78531797
Napoleon Dynamite
Which I saw yesterday
>>78531797
Hoodwinked
I don't watch cartoons, by the way. I just don't watch to browse /a/ right now.
/co/ my child, come closer
no.
>>78531708you tell anon that this is an ed edd n eddy thread
DID SOMEONE SAY ED EDD N EDDY THREAD?!
Dear all, despite many days spent on gocomics.com/calvinandhobbes/ looking for the strip containing this Hobbes face I've not been able to find the original strip. Could someone give me a piece of advice?
>>78531633
Might be from a cover?
>>78531633
Shit man, thats fucking hard.
>>78531686
nah, it looks like a face that needs context to have been made. I really doubt it's a cover.
alright, it's a sunday strip, do you at least know what year. i'll start looking through my books but i can't really promise you anything.
I checked the 10th Anniversary, Sunday Pages book, the miscellaneous cbr collection and the first book and haven't found it. Will check books 2-11 now.
Why doesn't Batman's kryptonite ring give him cancer?
Because he keeps it in a lead box.
Because he prepared for that.
>>78531614
Why do the comics pretend that simply having a ring made of kryptonite would make him a threat to a rampaging kryptonian that actually wants to kill him?
Just got done reading pic related.
Damn, that was a trip. What did you think about it /co/?
>>78531276
Why do you value your life so little?
>>78531276
Pretentious convoluted garbage from Morrison the druggie
You should have posted a general multiversity cover OP
posting THAT issue on its own is going to vastly skew the discussion, if not just prematurely kill the thread outright
I loved the series though, definitely make sure to read some annotations though because seeing what you missed makes it even cooler, especially with pax
The Just was arguably my favorite issue
>>78531138
More like "every other long Batman story's conclusion"
Writers shouldn't try doing detective stuff if they're not good at that. That scene is a 10/10 anyway.
iZombie > Supergirl > Gotham > AoS > Flash/Arrow?
what are you most hyped for to return?
what have had the better seasons overall? why is Liv best girl? anyone excited for guest star Kristen Bell?
>>78530885
Arrow had the best mid-season finale. I finally got to see Felicity die. (I know she comes back, but still, a man can dream.)
Anyway, I'm most hyped for Flash, I think it'll really take off now that it doesn't have to set up Legends
your filename is confusing me
>>78530885
>supergirl
>second
ITT: say one bad thing about a comic book character you love.
One good thing about a character you hate.
>>78530822
Looks like you just broke /co/.
>>78530822
Thor Odinson is not in comics right now.
>>78531866
He is though
Who is the most powerful mutant?
Bernaldo was a legendary mutant with one blue eye and one green eye. He has long red hair that glows yellow when he gets mad. Using his psychic powers he can give me friends and kill robbers.
>>78530750
Either legion or that baron guy that doom killed.
>>78530750
Franklin Richards
If Superman gets his powers because he's under a stronger sun than what his home planet orbits, does that mean humans would become supermen/superwomen on a planet under a blue sun?
Fairly certain he has an extra organ somewhere kinda like a space marine that processes the radiation or I'm just talking shit
>>78530737
Wouldn't the reverse be true?
>>78530737
Bizarro becomes more powerful and super-intelligent under a blue sun, so I imagine it would probably poison Supes
boy, this sure didn't age well, did it? Back then I loved 8-bit-theater but I can't go back to it without cringing, what happened?
>>78530403
You grew up.
Do you have the one about chocobo breeding, I remember that one still being pretty funny.
>However, I did watch them mate a lot
>Why did you have to watch them mate?
>I didn't say I had to.
I think the earlier comics didn't age to well, but I think it got better as it went along.
>i'm dancin' like a monkey!
man back when everyone absolutely need to shoehorn invader zim quotes everywhere
those were dark times
Since when did Chekov become a beacon of hope?
>>78529446
Since when did McCoy become a sociopath incapable of feeling empathy for others without it being forced on him by an external mechanism?
I can buy Ray Palmer and John Stewart
>>78529595
Ray was a sociopath?
Also technically Bones was an ass.
>>78529595
Honestly, McCoy's undying hatred of that green-blooded space goblin fuck Spock should've netted him a Red ring.
