Why do people say that "men will never understand" saga?
isnt it written by a man?
who are these "people"? tumblr accounts?
>>78595844
It's a meme, you dip.
Are Sam Raimi's films the most quotable and iconic scenes filled superhero movies of the modern era?
No, that would be Nolan's Bat-trilogy.
>>78589955
Eh... I feel TDK is the only one normal people quote.
>>78589905
>iconic scenes
LOL
Only one I can remember is Mary-Jane's tits wet
Did Dale ever find out?
No, his entire schtick was that he was a well meaning idiot who would perform insane mental gymnastics when presented with obvious truths, how frequently did the show decide to completely shatter one of its core concepts?

He still didn't get it
He knew subconsciously.
The vision in the sweat lodge, the vision on the vision quest, talking in his sleep--he clearly knew, and couldn't bring himself to address it.
Scooby and Shaggy run a gauntlet. How far do they get?
Penguin
Two Face
Mad Hatter
Riddler
Joker
Killer Croc
Red Hood
Poison Ivy
Ra's Al Ghul
The Big Guy

If a beeswax line of Batman rogues was between them and Scooby snacks they'ed be Gotham's reckoning.
All the way.
Wreck-It Ralph was on TV today, saw it for the first time since it was in cinemas. Can we talk about what a piece of shit character Vanellope is?
>Steals Ralph's medal
>Doesn't give it back despite being told it will turn his life around because lol she's more important
>Spends it to enter a contest she can't even win because she can't fucking drive
>Openly taunts and insults him throughout the movie
>Blackmails him into getting her a car
>Keeps racing despite being told it puts everyone in danger because "It's in my code!!11"
>Refuses to listen when Ralph tries to explain she will die
>Makes him apologise when he breaks her out of fucking prison
>Derails the entire fucking movie with her "I want to win a race" attention whoring
The first part of this movie is so good, then it just massively goes downhill when Vanellope shows up. She's an awful, irredeemable character. Is she still popular, and why she was popular in the first place, aside loli?

I'm really tired of people making threads with "opinions" they don't actually have because they think it's funny or clever.
Wow it's almost like she's an irrational child

itt we post marvel characters who probably will never show up again after the most recent relaunch/secret wars
discuss weather that's good or bad and if they've been forgotten for now or if they've been retconned out of existance
hope is probably dead. the cable in uncanny avengers doesn't seem to be the same cable who raised here and went through all that shit
seems like its a different cable from a different point of time...
my disappointment is tangible
the mutant messiah would be a great addition to a unity team, seems like a no brainer
fuck who am i kidding nobody cares... nobody's gonna post in this thread
>Happy New Year!

Why do these two fictional nonhumans get to be happy? I hate their happiness. I want to take it from them, they don't fucking deserve it.

Other than Avatar Korra, what are some other female characters that girls tend to stongly dislike or outright hate?
The universal answer. All people of all genders hate Lucy.
Are you implying /tumblr/ a mostly female website hates on the character they purposely made into a lesbian.

>Girls
>Hating Korra
Never been outside /co/ have you?

If you're talking about that interview with the koreans: they're asian. Any girl who's not that quiet innocent sweet paler than white girl is going to not be liked by asians. They hate loud brash girls.

Bart's face was prone to breaking in the first few seasons
Another one from the same episode.
I watched it. You don't have to believe me, and I don't plan to spoil much anyway. It's good. Miles ahead of "Man of Steel", at least, but not flawless.
Cavill remains efficient, but doesn't have any acting standouts, and his Superman/Clark Kent dichotomy is not great, but his physicality remains impressive. Superman doesn't progress much as a character, but I respect Snyder's commitment to the sullen, tortured Superman he envisioned, at least. Zod's death and the destruction of half of Metropolis are brought up during an effective confrontation with Batman.
Affleck is definitely the standout. Complex, layered, charismatic and compelling. He's great at conveying that tortured man behind the frivolous playboy facade, as well as the dark urges that Batman experiences while out and about. His character arc is pretty effective and manages to remain somewhat symphatetic at the height of his assholeness.
Gadot is OK. Not an acting standout, but she has good physicality and is very charming in her flirty scenes with Bruce Wayne which translate to most of her non-fighting screentime.
Eisemberg was OK and portrayed Lex's descend into madness and paranoia convincingly. He also manages to differentiate nicely between the annoyingly upbeat new age billionaire Lex presents himself as and the manipulative, egomaniac would-be conqueror he truly is. However, he remains sarcastic and douchey even at the height of his villainy, he never gets really serious. He's more Gene Hackman than Clancy Brown.
Amy Adams is good, and I was surprised Lois got as much screentime as she did, she even had a important little subplot.
Diane Lane, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter and Laurence Fishburne are glorified cameos, but they bring their well-established talent to the roles. Irons gets the most, and adds solid gravitas to Alfred.
Scoot McNairy, Jena Malone, Tao Okamoto and Callan Mulvey are little bit roles without much meat to them, and are effectively just little wink-wink nudge-nudge moments to the fans, but McNairy at least has the potential to become important in potential sequels.
The script is solid and the pacing works for the most part, but there are some awkward narrative conveniences and an overuse of montages and dream sequences. The humor is very subdued and a couple of jokes don't land, but it at least imprints a sense of levity that was lacking in MoS.
The Justice League lead-ins are a bit jarring in that it's obvious how manufactured they are, but it works in setting up the characters and the enemies they'll be facing, which is essentially Wonder Woman's role.
Doomsday comes into play in the last act and is more plot device than character, but his design is entertaining and he provides good interpersonal moments.
The action is great as expected of Snyder, with four big sequences. CGI is a bit intrusive in the last one, but otherwise they are competently shot. Great cinematography and production design throughout, too.
Overall, a 4/5 and a pretty promising start to the DCEU. Not mindblowing at all in terms of acting, progression or surprises, but it delivers on what it sets up and promises and rarely falls short to be a fun superhero blockbuster.
