What the fuck does "peak human" mean, exactly?
Humans don't all have one definite top level of potential. The maximum capabilities of any human are highly dependent on their genetics and life experiences: that's why we even have shit like the Olympics. It's a completely meaningless term, even more so by the fact there's apparently 10,000 characters who are all "peak human" when logically only one of them could actually be.
>>79047993
It means "Super strong and fast but not TOO super strong and fast"
That's why Cap is a superhuman and not a regular human. He is simultaneously Olympic-level at every physical endeavor. Obviously that is not possible for a normal human, he is a mutated freak. The idea that his body shape and hair/eye color have anything to do with it is just nonsense people read into it, that's not part of his powers.
If Cap entered the olympics he would gold medal in all purely physical solo events. thats what it means
Saturday night, the lights are dimmed and the wine is poured. What series do you read?
>>79047872
Ironically, the wine is probably what helps with ignoring the Bendisspeak
>>79047872
>willingly reading comics
I fucking hate comic books. It's all a bunch of stupid bullshit for nerds.
I'm reading real books to be honest family.
When was the last time a comic character or characters made you rethink your life image?
For me it was storm. Went from being just a street rat to a goddess then to just trying to help others like her.
With the x-men. With powers and even without them she's still awesome and I want to be more like her.
>>79047556
To me was Superboy. The guy was a little asshole who at first didn't care about his purpose in life nut then he realices that there was a man defore him and tried to follow his path.
>>79050029
For me it was the Joker
'Nuff said.

I actually got the feeling that these two were legitimately friends. I know the comics used (Captain) Marvel instead of Trish as Jessica's friend, but are there any comics or cartoons with female that protray a realistic close friendship?
>>79047029
*with a female lead, whoops
>>79047029
Female friendships are about as realistic as superheroes.
I'm not even baiting. Females lack the capacity to be friends with one another. Their "friends" are either people who benefit them or that they just haven't stabbed in the back yet. Women cannot have mutual respect or even truly care for one another. They are in constant competition with each other, even moreso than men.
>>79047099
Kinda like how a straight guy cannot be friends with an attractive female. If you're close and not wanting to get into her pants, you're lying to yourself.
Batman is a modern retelling of Don Quixote, seen from Don Quixote's point of view.
For the unaware idiots, Don Quixote was an old rich dude who thought he must make a difference, fight for justice and all that stuff, but ended up fighting imaginary threats and living in a delusional world.
Batman does the same, and it explains everything.
Bruce Wayne is a rich guy who was traumatized by the murder of his parents and swore to fight for justice. But he did not receive proper psychological help and is messed in the head. This is actually canon.
Everyone in Gotham knows his secret identity. The city authorities play along because he shelles out money. He also owns newspapers and local news stations, that run special batman-is-real editions because they don't want to lose a job. Alfred probably controls those and keeps it a secret from Bruce.
Joker is just an innocuous crazy man. The type who starts ranting at you about random pseudo-philosophical shit. He'll enter a classy opera teathre and start bothering the patrons, and bats is the only one who takes the random shit that joker says seriously, because batsy is messed in the head as well.
Riddler? Just a crazy guy who messes with Bruce Wayne by giving him riddles. Catwoman? A catlady. Poison Ivy? Green peace activist.
...cont
The reason they "escape" so easily from Arkham asylum is because they are never locked up, that is just what Bruce believes. The asylum plays along when "Batman" brings them because Bruce makes huge donations to them. But in reality they are not considered dangerous and so are free to go.
Harley Quinn was a new psychiatrist who didn't like how the mental care institutions of the city treated some patients just to indulge Bruce's delusions, and so denounced the city institutions and went independent and espacially tried to protect the guy who was the main victim of Batman's persecutions, the Joker. Obviously Bruce saw it in the twisted way we all know.
>Gotham is actually Hell
Current Harley is because she managed to start her own charitable organization and doesn't follow the Joker personally anymore, so Bruce sees her as as successful criminal leader.
Bane, being from outsie the city didn't give a shit about Bruce Wayne so when "Batman" bothered him he punched him. Bruce imagined it as having hisspine broken.
Pengui is such a difficult enemy because being rich himself Bruce can't mistreat him as he does the others, but still he plays along from time to time just for fun.
The henchmen of Bat's rogues are either nurses or random guys who are hanging around to laugh at the crazy dudes fighting out.
And the Batsignal? That's just a way for the police to get him out of the way. Get him running after "the Riddler" so he doesn't get killed by actual criminals.
Gordon is not really the commisioner of course, or even a good cop, and cops are assignet to batman as punishment.
Supes and the others have met Bruce a few times, because he's a billionaire, and from there he imagined their great friendship and his role in the JLA
Her tits look huge in her new shirt
Stop sexualizing Brazilian toons. I already have to deal with all the Zecas weird stuff. My sister watch this thing, for Christ's sake.

When I was!
Just finished reading Thunderbolts and was interested in reading more Ghost Rider. Any recs for someone fairly new to comics? Particularly his more recent stuff.
Read Jason Aaron's fantastic run
that's it
it's ridiculous and awesome and very grindhousey
Don't remember seeing him in a bad comic. You can pick whatever you want.
>>79046546
Even the stuff by Way? His Deadpool is fucking awful.
So, on the topic of the "up coming" Wonder Woman movie, what can we realistically expect?
Will we be showered with Gal Gaddot pretending to be Katniss?
Will we see the Catwoman/Elektra "damaged but powerful" tilt?
Will we see what amounts to a Lifetime Movie Network script like "he beat me, raped me, beat my children, gave me cancer, and left the toilet seat up" where everything is the penis' fault?
Or is there the possbility that her vagina and tits won't be a major driving force in the film?
She'll be a bigger Mary Sue than Rey.
You can't let your female protagonists have flaws, struggles or a personality, that's misogynist.
>>79046381
>what can we realistically expect?
A sequel, no matter what.
Regardless of how poorly it's made or performs.
>>79046381
it's going to have stupid writing like every other WW title ever
not even talking about fucking politics shit, it's just that there's two or three writers who ever made the character make any sense. also DCCU is just kind of weak and uninspired in general.
Been out of the loop for a while. Loved New 52s Vibe, has he been seen anywhere since his run ended? I know he had a VERY small appearance in Futures End but that's all I know.
>>79046348
He was also in the first n52 run of JLA.
>>79047230
Thank you

Anything else afterward? Did the plot of his missing brother was ever resolved?
