DEADPOOL CRASHING AND BURNING

WORST COMIC BOOK MOVIE OF 2016 CONFIRMED

>Most comic book movies are meant to appeal to 12-year-olds. Deadpool is the first one feel like it was actually written by one. Gleefully puerile and deeply immature, it has tons of what the MPAA calls “adult content,” but no actual content for adults. It’s a non-stop parade of dick jokes (and ball jokes), bloody violence, and breaking the fourth wall. In other words, it will be the favorite movie of 2016 of every underage boy who sneaks into it next weekend. Others need not apply.

>The title character, star of a wide variety of Marvel Comics, is a fast-talking mercenary; not, as he’s quick to point out over and over, a superhero. Armed with a pair of swords, a bunch of guns, and a demented sense of humor, Deadpool’s basically what would happen if you took Jim Carrey’s character from The Mask, gave him an R rating, and taught him how to do parkour. (“S---, did I leave the stove on?” he wonders aloud right before he decapitates a guy in the middle of a multi-car freeway crash. A generous admirer could describe him as “pure id.” A less appreciative viewer might go with “the most obnoxious movie character ever.” They would both be correct.

So this guy is complaining about the thing that everyone who is excited for the movie is excited about. It's not like we don't know what the movie's jokes will be like. We've had plenty of clips.
>>

I didn't know literal children were allowed to review movies.

Is it rape if the women readers/creators projecting themselves on the assaulted character want it?

I want to make a BL webcomic and I want to explain to any potential SJW readers that I make the victim guy say no and then fall in the love with his rapist because he's my tool to project myself into and get loved by the sexy hunk that the rapist is, whom I love dearly and by whom I want to get ravished by since that makes my vagina wet and hot and happy. IRL I love ravishment roleplay, with my bf forcing pleasure on me while I pretend I don't want it. I am not sure I should call that rape or not. Pic thematically related.

That's a shame because they don't complain to communicate with you. They're not willing to hear you out. They're just looking for an easy target to essentially bully.

Just make your thing and try your best not to engage their nonsense. Maybe publish under a replaceable username in case the dark stars align and things go south for you.

Ok, so the should he/shouldn't he be white conversation is everywhere. No matter who is cast, people are gonna be upset. It looks like Scott Buck is keeping him white, like the comics. So, the question is how do you think him and/or K'un-Lun are going to be portrayed?

>Mostly NYC, K'un-Lun minimal?
>Make it like Asgard, and multiracial? Even though that ruins the whole 'visual outsider' thing.
>Pull a Dr. Strange, and change K'un-Lunians characters in the Iron Fist mythos into white or non-Asian races to try to avoid clichés.
I think this would be the worst idea if Davos and The Thunder weren't Asian. However, having the villain be Asian, after the campaign would cause a HUGE blowback. Meachum as main series villain, would probably be best. Davos could be a sub villain, later expanded on in season two.

>Show the past (Asian) Iron Fists prominently, in flash backs and individual episodes.
I think this would best, at least for the first season. As much as I want to see the Other Immortal Weapons, it's not a good idea to overload the first season with that much lore already.

Thoughts and ideas /co/?

Story-wise, it'd be best to show lots of K'un L'un.

But budget-wise that's not feasible.
>>
>>79649676
>budget-wise that's not feasible.
Unfortunately, this maybe the case. We may just see the inside of rooms, but not much outside. However, a lot of the past fists stories take place in rural environments.I hope if anything some of the K'un-Lun flashback budget is kept to show off previous fists.
>>
>>79649657
Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't previous Iron Fists more than just Asian? Well, that is West Asian.

I vaguely remember some Indian Iron Fists though I could be wrong. Honestly they're damned if they do, and damned if they don't.

>Make Iron Fist asian, make everyone asian aside from Misty etc
'What, so all asians know kung fu magic? Is that it? Racists!
>Keep Danny as he is
'White Saviour stereotype, beating up the poor backwards Orientals and showing them the error of their ways!'

Only option is to make Danny black

A few questions to launch you:
>Do you want to make a comic or a cartoon?
>Can you describe your story in a single sentence?
>Have you planned a work schedule?
>How much have you written until now?
>What kind of audience are you appealing to?
>What motivates you to write?
>What are the main inspirations for your story?
>What are the main flaws in your story and how could you fix them?
>Is there a main ennemy in your story, if yes describe him/her?
>Is there a cartoon/comic/movie/book that looks like your story already?

And now a few exercices to practice:
>Write a dialogue between two characters from your story (or copy if you already wrote one)
>Write a short pitch for a new story
>What is the comic/cartoon you hate the most and HOW would you turn into something you like?

Merlyn needs to fuck off. Ever since season two he's just the guy that shows up out of nowhere, drops exposition, and leaves, only to have Team Arrow go "Grrr! I hate that Merlyn guy! Too bad he's right!"
>>
>>79638112
I pretty much stopped paying attention to Arrow, but I think he basically said that Sara won't die from not killing, but she still has the lust, while Speedy will die without fulfilling the lust because she isn't whole.
>>
>>79638154
Well now he has a plot where if Oliver kills Merlyn Nyssa will give him her anti-Thea dying water.

http://www.comicscube.com/2010/09/why-nightwing-never-worked.html

>A lot of comics fans would name Dick Grayson as one of their all-time favorite characters. But then if you ask people to name an all-time great Nightwing story, you'd be hard-pressed to get straight answers.

>Dick was so well-versed in his role as the Titans leader that that's what he basically became at his core. He was apart from Batman and the new Robin, Tim Drake, and he became, for better or worse, a guy who was more defined by his ability to lead and interact with others on such a personal basis than he was by being his own character.

>At the end of the day, I've come to realize that the problem with Nightwing in a solo series is that he was much too well-balanced.

>He was the stage in between Batman and Robin. He was Robin without all the teenage anxiety, and he was Batman with emotional maturity, but not quite as good.

>In other words, Dick Grayson was too well-balanced to really have a serious hook with which to grab his readers.

Half the people who like Batman can't name a good Batman arc, doesn't make their appreciation for the character any less valid.
>>
>>79636625
That's only true for the fans who literally don't read any comics. A number of Batman's comics are often listed on "greatest graphic novels of all time" lists.

The first time Steven ever heard his mom's voice was in her room, coming from that pink floating whale that appeared in both episodes.

Both times he's been in there, he had a hard time telling what was real and what was made specifically for his own desires.

How long before Steven goes in there wanting to speak to Rose and thinking he's talking to a hologram only for Rose to mention something he never knew about causing him question whether or not she's real
