I'm involved with casting process for the upcoming "Justice League" movie from Warner Bros Pictures. Just thought I'd share.Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Jeremy Irons, J.K. Simmons, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Ray Fisher, Viola Davis, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Jesse Eisemberg and Harry Lennix are confirmed so far. There are other eight casting processes ongoing, for what I hear are minor roles that will receive further expansion, and three main roles. They're all conducted using cover names and broad descriptions to avoid leaks, so it isn't much to go on, but I can assure you one of them is the villain. All of them are having a mix of open auditions and calling in actors and actresses to read for the part.
"Kate" (late 20s - early 30s). Major role. Further along because there'll more screentime. Described as "tough-as-nails, mischievous, self-assured". The shortlist is Alona Tal, Abbey Lee Kershaw, AnnaLyne McCord and Spencer Locke.
"Joan" (Mid 20s - late 20s). Minor role. Open to all ethnicities. Described as "smart, quick-witted, strong-willed". Shortlist so far includes Olivia Cooke, Lili Simmons, Maika Monroe, Eleanor Tomlinson, Imogen Poots, Ivana Baquero and Naomi Scott.
"Michelle" (late 20s - early 30s) - Minor role. Ideally casting African-American or hispanic women. Described as "driven, resourceful, no-nonsense". Shortlist so far includes Natalie Martinez, Nicole Beharie, Yaya DaCosta, Tessa Thompson and Gina Rodriguez.
"Thomas" (late 40s - early 50s) - Minor role. Described as "world-weary, dutiful, watchful". Shortlist includes Michael Keaton, Kurt Russell and Harrison Ford.
"Robert" (late 40s to early 50s) - Minor role. Caucasian actors. Described as "brilliant, ambitious, unreliable". Shortlist includes Jason Isaacs, Alfred Molina, Marton Csokas, Dougray Scott, and Gabriel Byrne.
"Jonathan" (late 40s to early 60s) - Minor role. African American actors. Described as "brilliant, souful, unwavering". Shortlist is Ernie Hudson, Giancarlo Esposito, Forest Whitaker, Joe Morton, but who they really want is Sidney Poitier.
"Sebastian" (late 30s - late 40s) - Major role. Described as "manipulative, unpredictable, treacherous". Shortlist includes Brad Douriff, Robert Carlyle, Tim Blake Nelson and Jackie Earle Haley.
"Vincent" (late 30s - late 50s) - Major role. I'm betting this is the main villain. Described as "Cold. Powerful. Terrifying." Shortlist includes Idris Elba, Vincent D'Onofrio, Ralph Fiennes, Mark Strong, Charles Dance and Powers Boothe. Joaquin Phoenix and Matthew McConaughey are dream casts of the studio, but it's rather unlikely they'll be interested. I understand there's an element of motion-capture involved.

I'm one of the Warner bothers, this guy is legit
>>80903741
Are you Donald or Ronald Warner?
PROTIP: There are three legit answers.
It's hard to tell, is it just the mask that changed or is it a totally new suit? I swear it looks like it's on the whole a somewhat more vibrant red than the original, but that could just be lighting in some scenes.
Too bad they can't do anything about the actors fat down syndrome face
The whole suit seems to have been revised.
What did you think of the mask? I was worried about it when they first showed it in promotional material but in action it really worked well. I actually didn't find myself missing the pre costume.

It's still not great at certain angles, but it certainly looks a little better than the original. It looks best when his head is slightly tilted downward.
Really, the problem is with Charlie Cox's face more than the costume.
FINAL EPISODE
TOMORROW NIGHT
WHAT WILL HAPPEN?
ARE YOU READY FOR IT?
>We find out that Jonas killed BM and Monarch is Rustys half brother
>>80902538
Jonas never killed BM. He tried to ressurect him and created a robocop nightmare.
They've already come out and said they didn't have enough episodes and so the current arc is unresolved at the end of the season. So basically, don't expect anything more than a really good episode of The Venture Brothers.

Vendata?
Why aren't there majestic and beautiful moments in cartoons anymore?
Think of the end of Lion King when Simba roars in the rain after defeating Scar.
Think of Quasimodo holding Esmerelda above his head at the gates of the Notre Dame while yelling "SANCTUARY!".
Think of Mulan turning around to that crowd of hundreds bowing to her after she saves the Emperor.
A girl might sing a catchy song on a snowy mountaintop, or you might feel bad for a fox and a rabbit, but there's no equivalent to any of the stuff I've listed above. The epicness is missing.
The lamp scene in Rapunzel has nothing on Mufasa appearing in the clouds, or the Huns appearing on the horizon.
>The lamp scene in Rapunzel

If JaneThor had happened 35 years ago, you fags would be defending it as a classic storyline
That's silver age Marvel for you. Every character flaw is actually a superpower.
Except Spider-Man's poverty, which actually got him in trouble.
Is it realistic that the Hulk has never raped or tried to rape anyone?
Especially in his wilder, more savage phases, when he's a slave to the most base impulses.
>>80901261
Is a guy who gains 1000% of his mass in flesh and turns green in fits of rage realistic?
>>80901261
I don't think sex is the Banner's version of the Hulk's thing.
She-Hulk? Sure.
>>80901261
Hulk is just ANGRY. There's never been a "bas impulses" aspect to the character.

Does anyone else feel bad for Steve? He's pretty much doomed to a life of social failure and humiliation
Nah, he'll be fine once he reaches college.
I don't feel bad for him because it's been shown numerous times that Steve is an arrogant pussy punk bitch who deserves all of his misfortune.
>>80898782
He'll be OK, his nerd skills will make him successful and then he can marry Snot
Where were you when American Alien was the deepest piece of capeshit of the 21st Century, written of course by critically acclaimed screenwriter Max Landis?
Better question, why do you people waste time continuously making threads about this instead of the Adams mini? It's much more interesting. Is this another thing to be blamed on the /tv/ invasion?
>>80898548
>Is this another thing to be blamed on the /tv/ invasion?
No, it's just Max making the threads, even the ones where he's being insulted.

Seems like the same edgy trash that DC has put out trying to make Supes gritty and realistic.
Sigh, I wish Superman was in the public domain (or that DC would sell him to Marvel)
This cartoon is coming to Netflix this summer. I think this is based on a book made by a football player. Will it be any good?

I like that they actually look like frogs, but what the fuck are they doing eating fruit?

Frogs don't typically talk, walk on two legs or practice martial arts either...that said, I do feel a little like some explanation is required for the fruit thing.

Are there any good /co/ related podcasts?
Please don't just name drop, write some description.
>>80897627
Bumping for interest.
Also looking for something. No stormfagging or reddit-tier shit humour
The sad reality is that there are very few cape-focused podcasts that aren't done by casual morons or autistic morons. The only one I listen to is House to Astonish, which is focused primarily on the X-Men and Marvel.
The other podcast I listen to is SILENCE! which is done by some ex-Barbelith Underground people, where most of the best Hypercrisis annotations came from. The two guys are a little weird and have a taste for anti-humor that a lot of people won't get but they're very smart and well read, they just focus on indie comics over capes by a lot. There's this one ultra pretentious guy who comes on some episodes who is pretty annoying but he doesn't show up that often.
Aside from that everything I've tried has been shitty YouTube celeb-tier cancer focused on pounding off to the latest crossover event.
