/2016/03/23/marguerite-bennett-replaced-by-greg-rucka-on-wonder-woman-and-other-dc-comics-rebirth-kerfuffles/
>I am told that after a few issues were written and approved, that the editor of Wonder Woman was suddenly changed and Margueite Bennett was gone as well. And that she would be replaced on the book by a higher profile writer.
>I have separately been told that the individual in question is Greg Rucka, who previously wrote a well regarded run on the title. Greg had sworn off working for DC Comics previously, after he was not made the writer on the Wonder Woman: Earth One graphic novel as he says was promised him. He returned a few years ago for the Five Years Later/Future’s End project – before leaving two weeks in, before it was even announced.
>Now, I am told, he is back. On the bi-weekly Wonder Woman Rebirth comic. Details of which will be announced on Saturday.
/2016/03/23/vertigo-comics-to-get-its-own-rebirth-at-eccc-for-july/
>I am told that DC’s Vertigo is undergoing a similar rebranding exercise as DC’s Rebirth from July, but to expect announcements at Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle, from April 7th to the 10th, rather than at this weekend’s LA-based Wondercon.
>The recent attempt to look like more like Image Comics with an expansion of creator-participant titles delivered no breakout comics and saw a market that seem disinclined to support them, however good they were. And some were very good indeed.
>I am told that Vertigo is going to rebrand itself, with an emphasis on a more “classic” Vertigo tone with work-for-hire mature reader takes on lower profile DC Comics superhero properties. Like they used to do.
>And the Becky Cloonan/Gerard Way Doom Patrol book will be a flagship title for the imprint, leading up until the Sandman Spin Off books, based on ideas by Neil Gaiman, are launched before Christmas.
Hmmm
sounds good
Rucka was handed a fucked deal originally, but at least DC is making it square
Why is he pursuing such a head ache inducing art style?

...or yet another cartoon where the concept art makes the characters look cuter than what they ended up as. How many dreams must be crushed like this?
I mean, I guess it could look worse, but it doesn't look good to me..
Now because you've been a good little Earth Monkey. Here is an issue based on the cancelled episode because it was too similar to Jimmy Nuetron pants episode

Why is TAS Harley the best Harley?

Voice, personality, mannerisms
Landwhales were not demanding her to be "fixed".
Literally defines the character.
Anything after has to be compared to the original, and the bar was set impossibly high.
This issue is hype as fuck.

I mean, I get characters like Emma Frost and Golden Age Wonder Woman are supposed to be model-thin. However, I think characters like Thundra, She-Hulk, Power Girl, Valkyrie, Titania, and Big Barda who are based around physical strength and looking intimidating should have some mass on them.
Personally, it looks boring to me when we see a group shot and all of the characters are the same model with different colors and patterns, I like for people to have different body types, because I think that's genuinely more visually interesting.
>>81016519
That muscular in that picture. If they aren't powerhouses they can be less muscular but I want my Wonder Woman to look like she can fuck me to death.
Depends on their powerset, mostly.
Ladies tossing around cars will be more muscular than achubby psychic that sits around all day. And a speedster will be slimmer more than muscular, except maybe in thighs and legs.
>>81016519
It depends if their strength actually comes from a super power, or based on how strong their body is: which goes into characters like Molly Hayes who don't need a big build to be strong vs She-Hulk who also doesn't need to have a big build, but gets stronger if she actually does work out.
Then it depends on if they're DEX, AGI, or STR.
If it's someone like She-Hulk, she doesn't really need to move that much, so going for strength more than an agile body makes sense. If it's someone like Wonder Woman, I can imagine her being fairly toned, but not hulking muscles, since she needs to be agile for a lot of her moves.
