Was Ozymandias right?
Yeah
>>81073551
>>81073566
Yes, ethically. But the point in the end may not be that he was ethically correct or that Rorschah was morally correct or that Doctor Manhattan was intellectually correct, because they don't get ALL the power. In the end it's a common person with the facts in hand who's going to make the decision about what happens next.
>>81073551
as much as anyone could reasonably expected to be, the whole point of what happened was to show that the people in charge don't necessarily have to be malicious to do horrible things and that frequently they're trying to render a chaotic unpredictable situation manageable as best as they're able to without anyone having enough real information to decide if what they're doing is right or wrong.
For us it seems obvious that the cold war would sort itself out but from the perspective of someone who was simply given the facts of the situation without context that would be a hard sell. "Who watches the watchmen?" is supposed to be a pitying statement. Nobody is there to tell them if what they're doing is right or wrong.
Are there any good comics about birds and or bird people?
>>81073326
Howard the Duck (discounting that shitty movie)
>>81073326
Ducktales? Darkwing Duck?
Sleep tight tweeters.
Hey /co/, /tv/pleb here.
What the fuck is this character? Why do Green Arrow and all the other heroes listen to everything she says?
The show takes place in Hell.
>>81073285
Because he's literally Green Batman. The entire show is basically make Green Arrow Batman and everyone listens to Batman even when he's green because he was trapped on a hellish island for 5 years and MUH FATHER MUH CITY MUH EMOTIONAL SCARS
>>81073285
Because she has the power to destroy an entire city with her bullshit.

They haven't released another teaser yet?
I know most of /co/ will disagree with me, but I liked the show better when it was darker, aka when it was "Grim and evil".
When it got turned its own show, it continued with the same dark humor it had in season 1, but starting around 2005, it started focusing on booger, fart, shit, gags, characters screaming constantly, and meme humor (Fred Fredburger, the word "yo momma" repeated over and over again, etc.).
I think most people agree that Fred Fredburger was the death of the show.
I knew that even when I was watching as a kid.
I can see what you mean but I kinda disagree to an extent. Did it have it's share of shit episodes, especially in latter seasons? Yes. But it also had loads of good ones that even it out. It didn't decline as many other shows did and do.
There's also limits to the dark stuff CN was willing to accept I bet.

>Being a kid in 2006
>1998 was 18 years old
Fugg, i'm old
desu, he only appeared in like 3 episodes, but it feels like the whole show shifted its humor to that ADD retard style after he first appeared

Feels good squaxx.
>>81070253
What went wrong?
Too much live action not enough bugs and daffy, the movie should have been a road trip movie with just bugs and daffy
>>81067695
JUST
>>81067695
They followed up a movie with an all time great soundtrack and starring Michael Fucking Jordan at the height of his worldwide godhood with Brendan Fraser. That's what went wrong.

When was the last time Wonder Woman was written correctly? When did this "Warrior Woman" shit officially start?
>It’s finished now and it’ll be coming out soon. I sat down and I thought, “I don’t want to do this warrior woman thing.” I can understand why they’re doing it, I get all that, but that’s not what [Wonder Woman creator] William Marston wanted, that’s not what he wanted at all! His original concept for Wonder Woman was an answer to comics that he thought were filled with images of blood-curdling masculinity, and you see the latest shots of Gal Gadot in the costume, and it’s all sword and shield and her snarling at the camera. Marston’s Diana was a doctor, a healer, a scientist. So I went back to those roots and just built it up again.
Well the problem is that cape comics are toothless nowadays. Superheroes can't actually change the world they lived in from being more than a parallel of our world and can't really redeem or rehabilitate villains either. So not only is her being a healer not as interesting to read, she'd also by definition be really bad at it.
>>81065143
>When was the last time Wonder Woman was written correctly? When did this "Warrior Woman" shit officially start?
I think it was kingdom come and the dark knight returns/strikes gain from Miller.
Maybe perez also helped a bit.
>>81065203
Every writer creates OC villains, more than they use existing villains
The OC villains usually (70+% of the time) are never used again by the following writer, so she can absolutely redeem villains
Hey /co/
Was hoping to get a quick poll out of you guys:
Who is the best / your favorite Marvel female in the comics, past or present? For me it's pic related: there are a ton of actual heroines I like but none that feel the sheer, constant, uncompromising love and support this woman exudes in bulk in her best stories.
>past
Kitty. Honorable mention: Rogue.
>or present?
.....
Lady Hellbender, I guess.
Sif, definitely.
How's it going /co/? Let's read COMICS!
This is Art Ops from Shaun Simon and Mike Allred
Heh. She really is ugly as sin.
Which one is better?
Gravity Falls.
>>81060694
Rick and Morty's maintained it's quality throughout, while I feel like Gravity Falls sort of went downhill midway through its second season.
They are very different. You can't really compare them.
how is Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur? wanna pick up a new book, and this looks cute. just wanna know what others think of it
>>81060370
It's pretty fuckin' quirky.
So I mean if you're into that.
The first issue was trash, Moon Girl comes off like that snotty know-it-all who doesn't actually know what she's talking about when the writers were clearly trying to make her an endearing genius. Didn't have the willpower to read after that.
>>81060370
Holy shit I forgot this comic even existed.
Where'd all the hype go after the release?
