What does /co/ think of Batman ?
I know this question is weird considering everyone and their childhood molester knows of Batman but I have been hearing
>BATMAN 2 EDGY AND OVERRATED DOOD
a lot lately and considering 85 % of my TPB's are Batman, I got butthurt,so does /co/ think this is true?

Batman is the best

I think the problem more has to do with the fact that Batman is popular with a casual audience, and has overtaken Superman in popularity. He represents something that a lot of the posters around here seem to hate: making things "gritty" and "realistic", and unnecessarily so. This is of course on top of DC's current tendency to milk Batman like there's no tomorrow, and the combination of that aggravates a lot of people.

Of course, I probably shouldn't speak for anyone else. Personally, I like Batman. I just don't like how everyone and their mom is currently riding the Batdick.
>>
I generally prefer his elseworlds and stand alone stories. Definitely sick and tired of the oversaturation of batman games, movies, shows, and fucking everything when they have an entire universe to fuck around with.

No and they probably won't, it was an excuse to create conflict, but now the twins (well the one that's left) have supposed to have realized he's a good guy.
>>
>>81131528

The weapons that killed their family were sold before Stark got out of the arms business. What's so difficult about that?
>>
>>81131566
but Stark still isn't sorry for killing their parents

Weird change in the IM movie as to why weapons are bad
>weapons are bad because they might be used against us

>>81131619
The reason he got out of the arms business had nothing to do with foreign civilians or armed forces

Full pound beef patty cooked on a flat iron grill with a toasted seaseme seed bread. Topped with bacon mayo, swiss cheese, and a heaping amount of peanut butter.

Served with crinkle cut fries with a spicey ranch dipping sauce and a coke to wash it down.

Shits cash.

Writers F.A.Q

>What if I left off information online; can I go back and change it or do I need to resubmit from the start?
>If you have saved your application but not submitted, you may go back and change as many times as you like. Use your login and password up until 11:59 pm PDT on May 31 to enter back into your submission. But once you have submitted your application, there’s no going back — you can no longer make changes.

>Can I get feedback on my submission?
>Due to the expected high volume of applications, we cannot give individual feedback on every submission.

>When will I hear from you?
>Due to volume, we won’t be able to respond individually to each applicant, but we will be sending notifications to everyone at the end of the review process around the end of August.

>Do I get paid to be in the Workshop?
>No. The endgame for the Workshop is to get you hired on one of our comics.

>Can my representation submit my material for me?
>No.

>Is it okay if I have representation?
>Yes.

>Can international applicants apply to the Workshop?
>Yes, but to be accepted into the program, you must have a passport or visa, if necessary, that allows you to travel to the US. We do not sponsor visas. And you must speak and write in fluent English.

>Can Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment employees apply to the Workshop?
>Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment employees are not eligible to apply.

>What if I’ve written for DC in the past? Can I submit the story published for DC?
>Yes! If you haven’t published anything at DC in the past year, you’re eligible to apply. However, updating us on your newest work could be most beneficial to you.

>Is there ANY circumstance that would allow me to have an extension on the submission deadline?
>No. To be fair to everyone who submits, extensions will not be granted.
>>
>>81130005
>If I live near Burbank, can I drop off my submission in person?
>All submissions must be uploaded through the website. Writing samples that are mailed in or dropped off will not be accepted.

>How many professional samples can I submit?
>One or two.

>Can I submit more than two writing samples?
>No. The application will only allow you to submit two samples at most, and that’s all we will read.

>Can the spec be an original DC Comic?
>No — under no conditions can we accept unsolicited submissions with our characters. >Any DC works submitted will not be opened or read.

>What if I wrote a published comic that is NOT a DC comic?
>This is ideal. We’d love to see your comic book work.

>What if my professional work is nonfiction?
>It’s highly unlikely that we’d be able to judge your ability to write comic books based on nonfiction work.

>What constitutes published work?
>We will accept material printed in a book, comic book, magazine, professional journal or newspaper, or an online publication INCLUDING self-published works of fiction. This DOES NOT INCLUDE any DC character fan fiction.

>If I’m part of a writing team, do we each need to write a personal statement?
>No, teams should submit ONE personal statement expressing their views.

>If there is a problem with the website while I’m submitting, or I have a question that isn’t answered here, what do I do?
>Email us at [email protected] and we will help you resolve your issue.

I'm a graduate of TAW and I really enjoyed my time there, it was great for networking since all the teachers are actual professionals currently working in the field and they help out with the internship you have to do that for the most part guarantees you a job at the place afterwards. I also like the bachelor films they make because while not all are great visually, they tend to be a bit more varied in terms of story and content (unlike Gobelins and their Chase films).

The only issue I'd say is that sometimes they are a little too 'free' for the students. Rather than teaching them how to do a simple thing well they give too much freedom to make things more 'personal', which puts more work on the students who need to make it more simple.

But if you're french and good enough and don't mind making a French Chase bachelor film then I'd recommend Gobelins simply for the name recognition and the fact you'll be a beast of an animator.

Goddamn, what the fuck is this? The teenage version of Rick looks EXACTLY the same as his 60-year-old self, really?

I mean, I thought his hair was so muted because it was graying but...no, that's just his natural hair color? and he has no other hair style he can possibly wear regardless of whether or not he's trying to be coolo.

and of course, he has a fucking unibrow, because what kid doesn't have a unibrow? and wears exactly the same outfit, because Harmon and Roiland couldn't put even the smallest amount o effort into changing the countenance of their protagonist. What the fuck, how did these hacks get away with this?

thats not a fucking joke. it would be a joke if someone mentioned he looked the same, or if people kept mistaking him for his adult self, or presumed he had a shrink-ray he tested on himself, but as-is its just laziness. laziness in and of itself is not a joke.

Okay, I'm confused.
I'm not a big comic guy, but I've been reading about this and watched the video that explains what it is and I still have no idea.
Is this a reboot? Will there be new origin stories? Is everything before it no longer canon? What was the new 52 they keep mentioning?
Will it be worth getting into when it comes out, or will I be totally lost?
19 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
Just a relaunch. The reboot was the New 52 where there was a new canon and DC universe, ideally start from there.

Some of the DC Rebirth books you could start without having to read anything else, well actually probably all of them because they are #1 issues, but for comics like Nightwing it is a continuation of Grayson so it'd be best if you read that and you should because it is fucking sick.

I jumped into comcis with the New52.
>>
>>81128040
So what's the difference between a relaunch and a reboot?
>>
>>81127767
>Is this a reboot?
No
>Will there be new origin stories?
No
>Is everything before it no longer canon?
It's still canon
>What was the new 52 they keep mentioning?
It's the post-Flashpoint i.e. the current universe, the New 52 was their relaunch initiative in 2011
>Will it be worth getting into when it comes out, or will I be totally lost?
yes, you'll be fine, just jump in

mind you "power levels" in marvel don't mean much. its entirely up to writers to decide how strong a char really is, so it comes down to waifuwank
