Was listening to word balloon podcast and some things I picked up on that will really make everyone here happy.
>Rucka's Wonder Woman is being edited by Doyle editorial, not Berganza shitty editorial.
>Rucka said he has read everything WW in the last 5 years and he'll not straight up retcon away Azzarello's run.
>Year one storyline has a lot of elements from his Earth One story he was planning on doing.
>Says Johns pitched him a very character driven outcome that he wanted from Rucka's story.
>He said he'll bring elements from his previous run if they organically fit in his story, doesn't want to make it seem like he's just retracing old steps.
>Says only 3 characters could've brought him back to DC, one is Diana and other two are Renee and Kate.
>He isn't working for anything else for DC, says he has a fuckton of workload and doesn't want to stress himself out too thin (or fat?).
>He is in fact not getting $10,000 for every pound added to his weight during those stress years but he doesn't mind.
>He asked Johns how much DCEU synergy was expected from this run and Johns said none whatsoever.
>Year one is not an origin story as Batman: Year One or other traditional origin story.
>He has planned out 24 issues but could definitely stay for longer.
>He also talked about a lot of Wonder Woman and creator owned.
Listen it for yourself

>Says only 3 characters could've brought him back to DC, one is Diana and other two are Renee and Kate.
Well after that he added that "maybe Helena"
I'm still making my way through this
>Rucka hasn't watched Gotham

Apart from Miller's run, are the Wolverine solo books any good? I really enjoyed him in the 90s cartoon and think Hugh Jackman was okay but not the best choice. With that in mind, are the comics worth my time?
not read it but I've heard Larry Hama
s run was good

Check out Weapon X
I enjoyed Old Man Logan and the Origin mini. The Origin sequel was fuckig horribly written awful garbage though
For a bit of X-comics' history, the first time that Rogue's powers were inhibited, she and Wolverine were captured in the (back then) anti-mutant nation of Genosha. Sadly, the result of that capture was that Rogue wound up being stripped naked, thrown in a cell (naked), and sexually molested by the Genoshan soldiers/guards (mutants in Genosha were slaves/chattel/property). So Rogue's first sexual experience (she was a virgin, obviously, due to powers) was that of having been raped.
Unsurprisingly, the trauma fractured her mental & emotional state badly; so much so that Rogue mentally buried herself beneath multiple personalities of characters she had previously absorbed, with the dead-at-the-time Carol Danvers persona (Captain Marvel) being in control (mostly).
Obviously, with the decades of consistent presence in X-comics since then to current times, Rogue would survive and recover from that terrible experience. But this does offer a bit of coverage to why comic-book Rogue fears (& thus does not use) power inhibitors. A rape victim generally does keep (or wear) reminders of their trauma.
Oh, and Wolverine did not fare any better. Where-as Rogue was sexually abused, Wolverine had to endure a telepathic mind-raping from a Genosha-brainwashed Psylocke (roughly around the time she was changed from dignified British lady-telepath to sexy psychic ninja)
I hope Rogue and Carol actually finally get to be friends one day.
Carol Danvers was more interesting as a voice in Rogue's head.

Verification?
man the concept is really weak sauce, and the SJW agenda is like a billboard
Is this like a Frank thing or a Kotter thing

Legends of Tomorrow has cast Patrick Adams and the article claims he will play Alan Scott.
This would come after a season of dozens of JSA easter eggs scattered throughout the show.

You know this is an April Fool's joke, right?
>>81353392
Why do you think that?
>>81353561
Well, he was only just cast the day before, and look at the date on the current page. Rich usually puts up a couple fake articles on April Fools.
Is he a jobber?
>>81353067
unfortunately
Yep. The MCU really dropped the ball with Rhodey

This.
Teddy Sears looks more entertaining as Hunter Zolomon than he ever was as Jay Garrick.

I want to fuck him now more than ever.
>>81351985
I would let Teddy Sears destroy my pussy.
Unpopular Opinion: The Donkey Kong Country cartoon had better cinematography than Miraculous Ladybug. Come at me.
>>81351427
This show is actually pretty good. Like fuck April Fools, I'm dead serious.

I SHOWER YOU WITH COCONUT CREAMPIES

For being based on a platformer series it really lacked action. And only a couple of the songs were actually good.
This is a very by the numbers childrens movie yet it somehow made DreamWorks enough money to keep shitting out sequels, prequels, and spinoffs.
Its those fucking penguins wasn't it? Make them a non factoid and no one would remember this movie
I thought it was pretty good. Never saw sequels, though.
I really don't understand the disdain that /co/ has for this movie. There's nothing glaringly bad about it.
Yeah man the movie about the farting oger was way more mature.
I'm okay with it, it was the first CGI movie to try to add cartoony elements
Around the year 2000 is when Disney seemed to really hit a bit of a turning point in the direction their films took. The Renaissance was pretty much over, and Disney started releasing more experimental films away from the "Animated Broadway Musical" direction, starting with movies like Fantasia 2000 and Dinosaur. Pixar was also getting into its prime around this time too, as it was still relatively new and was just getting to creating some of its best films.
Do you look on Disney around this time period fondly? Should they have stuck with making Renaissance-style films longer? Were movies like Dinosaur actually good? If not, what could have made them good?
They were experimenting a lot during that time, and while today's movies are a nice cumulation of that effort, a lot of the ones they made back then sucked ass
Fantasia 2000 was great and really succeeded at capturing the spirit of the original. Dinosaur, though, was the most boring movie I'd ever seen from Disney. I just couldn't get into it at all.
I think this was pretty much the big start of the period where Disney movies became largely ignored in favor of Pixar, which was where the actual good movies were coming from for most of the 2000's.
Fantasia 2000 in some ways I'd say is even better than the original. Rhapsody in Blue in particular is one of my favorite things Disney's ever done.
Are there any female Kryptonians whose name doesn't end in "A"?
Lara, Ursa, Kara, Alura, Mala, Faora...
I know Super Girl had a female friend on Kandor but I can't remember her name. And the only exception I could think of was Lilo from All Star Superman.
Other than my question Lady Kryptonians thread. Let's talk about our favorite females from under a red sun.
>>81348151
Why i there no Mala fanart?
>>81348196
Scared of a woman with real strength.
>>81348151
It's a common convention, yeah. Nothing wrong with that - male Kryptonians have one of their own in that their names are generally monosyllabic.
Doing an MCU complete rewatch because I hate myself (inb4 muh shows aren't canon).
Forgot how much I hated her in Season 1. I was constantly hoping that the writers would finally wise up and kill her off.
Crazy now, since she's one of my favorite characters in the MCU as Quake.
>>81348039
Only good characters is Based Ward and Based Mack
>>81348039
She is one hot piece ofquake
I'm still in shock at how much I enjoy her character now. Bless the AoS writers and thank fuck this show wasn't on the CW.
Aqua-man 2009
>A young marine biologist from Gotham high got infected by wayne chemicals that were imported from the lost city of Atlantis, This turned him into a half atlantean hybrid able to lift 10x his own weight, speak to fish and swim, only when he's in water
supporting cast
>Pamela Lilian Isley, love interest
>Aqualad, his dog that also got infected
>Orm, the high school bully who's father owns a large oil company that's killing the wildlife
>David Black (black manta) football captain who frequently bullies Arthur
hah gayyyyyy
The worst part of it (and it's all terrible) is that he's from Gotham
>>81347971
Where dies he come from in the comics?
Who here remembers this series?
Who hype for the newest chapter?
>>81347540
There a new chapter coming out?
>>81347630
Yep, Another Step
Focuses on these three instead of Doki and Nabi
They also did hd remasters of the original 5 using better equipment
