Why are the hue hues creating so many good shows all of a sudden?
>>81381786
cuz you just noticed
>>81381786
Government put in a law that cable channels need to have a few hours a week of brazilian made content. Whenever a lot of people start making content, some of it has to be good, by law of probability if nothing else.
>>81382074
Then why are 99.9% of shows from Canada bad?
Why do people pretend the first season of this was not only bad, but WORSE than the original Ben 10? It's probably the peak of the franchise in terms of story and characters before the rest of the seasons and other series took shit on any potential it had.
>>81381327
I never finished the whole series, but I remember liking AF way better than the original.
>>81381327
Care you explain why you think like that OP?
>>81381327
I did like that Ben had matured a lot from the original series. Unfortunately that took away a lot of the charm he had and made him boring as fuck. Omniverse wasn't perfect but it was a lot more entertaining than AF.
Was Steve Blum voicing the character until the last one a way not to spoil the reveal or was it simply not planned when the show started?
He looks like a power rangers villain.
I legit thought this was a Power Rangers screenshot.
is it a CW mandate that they have a mystery plot in every season?
My name is Angela
Hey hello
Welcome to my very own show
Angela Anaconda don't want none unless you got buns hun
>>81381081
This show is how I imagine a bad aacid trip.
Why would anybody think this show was good.
When I was young the art alone gave m the creeps,
Why do these guys go out of their way to avoid reviewing animated films? They watch every superhero film but then skip Big Hero 6. They've admitted they're tired of big blockbusters but then don't go see stuff like Lego Movie or Inside Out. I get that maybe Disney musicals wouldn't be there thing, but there are other just solid films overall. I'm sure their audience watches them, why ignore them?
>>81380869
They may not think it's their medium. They're filmlovers, and animated films are a different kind of beast. Animated films can be completely created, the only limitations being money and time. Money can buy skill, and time can allow it to come to fruition. Whereas with liveaction, they understand that everything onscreen, especially actors, are real, and the equipment you use with your layout and execution dictates how everything will look. Animated films you can do all of that yourself. So they stay in their wheelhouse. They also only handle movies aimed at them, only PG-13 and up stuff, because they're the demographic. Animated movies like you mentioned are marketed towards kids. Not their deal.
That's like asking a guy that watches Mad Men to give Spongebob a shot.
RLM doesn't know shit about cartoons or comic books.
>>81381101
>>81381179
Movies like Inside Out are marketed towards kids but still follow all the rules of film making, including actor performance, composition, timing, camera placement, lighting, narrative, tone, etc. They're films that advertise to kids but are still just solid films to watch for anyone. They aren't movies like Home or Minions whose writing is so low tier, it feels like it's for children.

rude
You just know Smellerbee got comforted longdick style after Jet's death/
>>81380898
Why do they call her Smellerbee?
Anyone else think an Alpha Flight movie would be a good idea?
If they did, you'd know who to cast fro Puck.
If they did that, Wolverine would have to have a cameo. They couldn't not do it.
No
t. canadian
>Star Wars Kanan just finished
>Starbrand & Nightmask is cancelled after issue six
>Audioplay Kickstarter was successful but didn't raise awareness in his novels like he hoped for
>relegated to writing for Shimmer & Shine and World of Warcraft YA novels
How the mighty have fallen.
Did we ever find out that mystery animated series he was working on that got canned was?
>>81380314
Eh, he has his ups and downs. It's important not to lose hope.
This time next year he'll be a millionaire.
>>81380682
No. He can't talk about it because he signed an NDA. He'll probably mention it years later, just like he did with the Green Lantern and Space Ghost shows he did before working on Young Justice.
What's your opinion on writers doing shit like this?
>>81380274
it's shitty internet humour. I expect better from professionals than aping a gaggle of morons
I want to say that's why I've enjoyed recent parodies less than older ones (Hot Shot, Airplane!, Spaceballs)
Using female superheroes? Dispicable.
>>81380421
>I expect better from professionals than aping a gaggle of morons
Donald Trump is currently running for the Presidency of the United States entirely on memes.
Robots are underutilized in animation.
There I said it.
We're entering an age of actual real life robots in this world and no one in animation at all has so much as even RECOGNIZED them.
And I think that's bullshit.
Ok, define what you mean by "underutilize"
Because I could probably name DOZENS of cartoon robots
>>81380027
The japs use plenty of robots in their animations.
>>81380027
>The Iron Giant
>that maid robot from the Jetsons
>BEN from Treasure Planet
>Bender
>the ENTIRETY of the Transformers franchise and all its cartoons
I don't know about you OP, but I think there are plenty of robots in animation at the moment, and that's only to name a few.
When are they gonna stop cramming Damien down our throats?
Worst VA
Worst Character
Worst Robin
>>81380021
Go home Snyder.
>>81380139
What does Zach have to do with this
>>81380021
>Damian
>Worst Robin
Faggots really believe this
One of the things I really like about DC shit is that they make up their cities for their heroes.
Damn near everything takes place in New York in Marvel and it's ridiculous. In just the MCU New York is worse than fucking Detroit and has multiple super heroes and villains practically on the same block. Whenever I realize They are supposed to be in New York it takes me out of it.
In Gotham, Starling City, Central City or Metropolis you can make the city as grand, dangerous, shitty, huge or futuristic as you want with no worries and the stories are far better for it.
>>81379077
>In Gotham, Starling City, Central City or Metropolis you can make the city as grand, dangerous, shitty, huge or futuristic as you want with no worries and the stories are far better for it.
Not really, since the only place DC bothers to make in anyway distinct is Gotham, and that's only in the sense that it's grimdark. Otherwise, the setting is every bit as generic as Marvel's.
>>81379384
>Metropolis is generic
>Coast City is generic
>Central City is generic
>Star City is generic
Jesus Christ, it's getting easier and easier to spot Batfags.
>>81379077
>Marvel fails to make the West Coast Avengers successful
>attempts to open the west coast back up again with Runaways
>California is now supposed to be a wild west of superheroes with the Pride vanquished
>Marvel literally adds zero new west coast heroes after Runaways
What went wrong?
Can we have an Invader Zim Thread? I've been watching it on Kiss Cartoon and I think it really fucking holds up. Ignoring the "teh cupcake of d00m x3" crowd, I think it's one of the better Nicktoons.
I liked it when I was a teenager.
It didn't really hold up at all.
>>81378938
When did you last watch it?
>>81378938
What he said.
It was actually very hit-and-miss. Really funny at time, really unfunny at others.
Can someone give me some good Thunder recs? like specifically the run in pic related? or other good ones? [sp] obscure character thread? [/sp]
The best thing thunder has been in was those DC shorts.
>>81378333
Judd Winick's Outsiders
It's a decent series, minus one fairly infamous arc.
>>81378475
These were cute. Wish they'd done more.
>>81378519
what was the infamous arc? are there any really cool arcs of outsiders in general?
>Plastic Man movie turned down by Warner
Why are we stuck with Snyder when we could have had this?
Why is WB so utterly shit?
No fun allowed. Shut up.
>we live in a world where a Gunn-produced Plastic Man movie never will exist
Well I'm fucking depressed now.
14 years ago they might've gotten a slightly saner Jim Carrey to star in it
