Why is Roman Catholicism the most popular religion among Marvel superheroes after Judaism /co/?
>>81294455
Their ethnicities where associated with the religion.
Captain America isn't Catholic.
>>81294455
Cap decends from irish stock, mostly catholic country.
Nightcrawlers german, raised catholic.
Daredevil wasn't originally but it made good reading since he was themed on the devil but was a religious man really. It's kinda like batman going bat-themed to scare villains. Matts catholic so the devils coming for you idea means a lot to him.
Think MCU synergy will get them back together?
Nope, she's with Captain Falcon now
The only interracial relationships allowed in media are black men with white women.

HYES
How would you fix The Legend of Korra?
>>81294026
her feet, my face.
>>81294026
Have the first season be the entire series. Amon trades his entire life for power from some spirit creature and leads a selfish but righteous war across the world.
>>81294026
Less clothes on Korra.
At all times.
Remember the time the stupid SJW lesbian nearly got raped because she walked down an alley, at night, behind a bar, in gothem, where she could see 4 guys that were clearly thugs?
Then batman saved her, then she got mad at batman for saving her because he was a man?
Yeah, that made sense.
You know most female characters are written by men, right? And when they do something stupid it's indicative of the thinking of the man writing them and not of real women? You do know that, don't you?

>>Calls Batwing an uninspired name.
>>Literally called Batwoman.
I remember seeing Pic Related when I was young, soon after, I saw the lion king.
I remember back at school, my friends and classmates were talking about how sad Mufasa's death was. All talking about how it was so emotionally traumatic.
It didn't affect me that much as a child, I always thought:
>He was betrayed by Scar, Simba found out
>He was raised by Timon and Pumba
>Why didn't his mother say anything about his disappearance
and lastly
>He may have lost his dad, but he still has his mom, his (evil) uncle who was going to be found out sooner or later, and the rest of the pride, why did he give it all up? (inb4 animal nature for a new head of the pride to kill all the cubs that aren't his)
Now, this may be biased, but I remember my dad having another family, and I had to grow up with my mom and my sister alone. But he still wants to keep in contact with me.
I always thought when I was young, "At least Simba still has the rest of his family" during the end of that scene
Now, here's why I find Mufasa's death pretty tragic, yet the mom of Littlefoot's Underrated
Littlefoot was LITERALLY alone, where the Sharptooth wants to kill him just like all natural predators
He met only a few dinosaurs to work together and go to the great valley
It was a serious METAPHOR for RACISM
These 5 dinosaurs nearly got killed a lot of times TRYING to fend for themselves and survive.
Littlefoot's Mother was ALL he had left (aside of the grandparents)
He had to watch his mother die while defending him
Literally, the worst thing about this was that this was ALL INSTINCT
Natural Disasters were also a bitch to him
He had to learn the hard way that he was NOT the top of the food chain (That old dino right after his mom's death)
And he literally lost EVERYTHING until he found paradise-ish
Scar betrayed Mufasa because he wanted power
Sharptooth just wanted to eat to live
>>81293155
Not only that, Littlefoot seems more like a realistic kid than Simba. None of this "Oh I just can't wait to be king" stuff-- instead he has to deal with blackbirdism from Cera and her father.
>>81293155
>All talking about how it was so emotionally traumatic
As kids?
>>81295731
I kept hearing "Aww lion king was so sad, Simba's dad was the saddest part"
or "Waaaa, it made me love my family the most" and even, and I wish I was joking "This was the saddest thing that they ever showed to me (kid) in a movie"
all in all, TLBT (orig) was/is seriously underrated, and people were more "impacted" by lion king.
When, Simba still had a big family and was adopted by timon and pumba, he was still a prince (technically), and still had a lot to inherit
Littlefoot, was just a normal dinosaur who was brutally orphaned and had to fend for himself.
Did you ever think that a live action Supergirl show would be more critically acclaimed than a Superman movie franchise that crosses over with Batman?
I did not, no.
Yes, every character should be a cute girl
makes way more sense
>>81291283
>Girl
>Man
yes
In DC it makes sense that heroes generally only ever fight their own villains, because they are spread out all over the world
But why is it such a rare thing in Marvel for characters to fight foes who didn't originate in their comics? Sure it happens SOMETIMES and I understand the reason/excuse of why all of Marvel is in NYC, but it's usually a crossover thing, when it should really be a regular occurance since they are all in NYC.
I think it's a revenge thing, and big bads hiring little fish to take out their rivals.
>>81291109
Thaty only happens with select villians.
Granted, Spiderfoes like Kraven or Electro usually only fight Spidey, but one of Spiderman's most iconic fights was against the unstoppable X-Men villian Juggernaut.
Just think about Doctor DOOM, he has been a villian in almost every major character's books. It's not that MoleMan or The Wizard is any less a Fantastic Four villian (even though they are), it's just that Dr.DOOM is more useful to writers.
The Avengers have battled Magneto, the X-Men have fought Dracula, The Punisher has punished Stilt-man ... permanently.
Then there's crossovers.
Heros team up and kick that one villian's butt, you know the one badguy who usually gives the one hero a lot of trouble. Not when there's two heros. That makes for shorter stories.
And some bad guys are personal vendettas that other heros don't understand. Others aren't.
Nobody says; "Carnage isn't MY archenemy. Why bother stopping his killing spree?"
But when the Kingpin is suspiciously buying up housing in Hell's Kitchen it's not like Doc Strange would bother to investigate, that's DareDevil work.
So it all kinda makes sense.
wasn't sandman one of the frightful four or am i misremembering?
either way, theres really no in-universe reason.
heroes usually fight their rogues because they are their rogues. its not like they and the rogues have a city to themselves like gotham, or central city or metropolis. Its all NYC.
"This is the last straw, Batman. Either you rape the Joker... Or I'm going to have to."
Why doesn't Superman just rape the Joker?
"You'll never rape me alive, Gordon!"
>>81290985
Why doesn't Batman politely ask The Joker to stop?
ITT: The Simpsons writers have lost their minds and given YOU the chance to set the direction of the next season. The catches are:
-This whole season has to be Treehouse of Horror-esque, or at worst, shitty creepypasta-esque. A whole fucking horrific season that's "canon". So if you kill off Flanders, he either has to stay dead or you have to come up with a way to bring him back, and everyone reacts accordingly.
-The first episode of the season has to be an adaptation of Dead Bart.
-Bart has to come back to life (or partially back to life) before the end of the season, but you can keep him dead for some episodes. Don't worry, the next season will still follow up on your gory changes even if you won't be working on it.
-Remember a season is 22 episodes so you've got to come up with 22 plot ideas.
How fucked up can you make the season?
I couldn't handle this responsibility. What could I possibly make that hasn't already been on Family Guy, South Park, or some Newgrounds parody?
>Start off the season with Bart dying.
>In the wake, weird shit starts happening in Springfield.
>People start disappearing, only to reappear days later.
>Although they seem different, not entirely human.
>Eventually we find out the entire thing is this Truman Show/Cabin in the Woods/Dark City deal.
>Springfield has been stuck in this perpetual cycle, with weary citizens being replaced with clones or whatever.
>The remaining family members get out of Springfield, only to discover massive sets for every place they've gone in recent years.
>Find Bart, who had been 'killed off' because of ratings.
>Entire town gets free, reestablishes Springfield.
>Next season begins like nothing ever happened.
>Retconned everything past a certain point.
>Let them grow up in a 90s setting for the rest of the series.
Full of holes, but about as cohesive as some of the official shit put out.
>>81290961
I hand it over to Seth MacFarlane, that should be enough horror for you.
>mfw there are people who honestly don't realise Watchmen is the GOAT comic book movie
>>81290948
it's not though, Sin City is
It really isn't, because they tried making it cool, when the entire point of Watchmen was that these people aren't cool.
Someone I follow put it well:
Watchmen is a good movie, but it is not a good adaptation.
Snyder obviously admires Watchmen, but he doesn't get the point of Watchmen.
do we know 100% what happened with Edgar Wright and Ant-Man
>>81290745
We know like 80%.
>>81290745
yeah the asshole was trying to ruin the movie. Paul rudd saved it.
>>81290763
>saved it
>movie was the definition of mediocre
t b h familia, i prefer a bomb at this point over utter sameness and mediocrity
i've rewatched f4 more times than ant-man because it's entertaining for being a mess, ant-man is just iron man lite
How do we get children interested in comic books again?
Why do you want them to read comics? I don't like kids comics I think they should stay uninterested
>>81290659
There needs to sites for Comics like there are Sites for Manga.
Children can really get into Manga because they can look it up easily on a number of websites. Also there needs to be more stories a 13 year old can get into. Things that would fit into the "Shounen" Genere
>>81290675
>I want the medium to die
I feel so bad for Stephen Amell
I hope TMNT becomes successful so he finally leave Arrow
He got rich off the show and can probably get a bunch of shitty movie roles to get more money on top of that. And that Arrow DLC for Lego Batman 3 seems fun. Don't feel bad for him.
What the fuck? Where were these guys for the first season? It was glaringly obvious it was a soap and the shit with Huntress proved that.
>>81290123
People should give the writers more shit instead of Stephen Amell.
http://www.ew.com/article/2016/03/30/ben-affleck-batman-script

I believe in him.
>>81289664
