Confirm/deny: Seth MacFarlane is a much better voice actor than he is a writer/animator.
>>94404168
Confirm.
He should have just done acting/signing.
I don't really like his work all that much, but I've gotta admit, his career path has been really interesting. Like he took the most unconventional way to becoming an actor with name recognition.
>>94404729
I don't even like his work much either, but I have to admit I'm looking forward to the Orville thing he's doing.

It's still on the camp arc?
>>94404116
To be fair we've been switching between three concurrent arcs.
>Camp Arc
>Date Arc
>Louis Arc
Date and Louis Arc happened during the first part of the Camp Arc, now we're bringing it back around to finish out the Camp Arc the next day.
Why the fuck did Chuck Austen quit a book this good just to go off and have a shitty would-be career in mainstream capeshit? This is seriously one of the most realistic, entertaining and minimalist porn comics I've ever read.Kenna best girl
No love for Strips? I know we've had threads in years past.
Maybe I should have started a Chuck Austen hate thread instead.
>>94404580
I have it bookmarked but only read a few pages.
>>94405303
I just reread it for the first time in years and was surprised to find that it holds up quite well for a slice-of-life porn comic. Very well-rounded characters. My favorite issue was #4, when Zack, Kenna, and Lee plan a comic strip, talking over what men and women look for in a good story.
/co/ I need your advice. I've just finished my Ultimate Spider-Man and Daredevil by Bendis collections. I'm looking for a new modern series to start reading (2000-2017)
I have some ideas but I can't find solid opinions on some of them. I've been leaning towards a few titles.
>New 52 Supergirl
> Snyder Batman
> Bendis Avengers
What are /co/'s thoughts on these? Is Bendis good on Avengers? I've enjoyed his street level stuff, but I've heard he isn't very good at others.
I'm new to DC so I'm not sure about Batman or Supergirl. I like the idea of Supergirl becoming a red lantern and I'll probably read them together if I go that route. Thanks in advance.
I'd also normally just research on my own, but I'd love to hear some opinions.
>>94403797
I can't tell if this is bait or not.
>>94403797
>Bendis Avengers
Oh boy, you really don't know do you?
Look Bendis hate is more than just a meme. I still love Dark Avengers since it is fun stupid and the ending of the arc is satisfying beyond words, but all the same.
>>94403797
My opinion is in the minority but I like Bendis' early Avengers. Specifically his first volume of New Avengers up until Secret Invasion. I think it worked well and was reasonably well written
It was after that when his work on the Avengers books started to dip as he was writing two or more Avengers books at a time. I thought Dark Avengers was good too but everything else (Avengers, Mighty Avengers, New Avengers v2) just lost anything interesting about them.
I don't know much about Snyder Batman other than Court of the Owls was enjoyable until the ending.
Complete Series Blu-rays when?
Of what?

Because Minty Lewis.
ITT: Cartoons you wanted to continue, but you just had to suck it up and move on with your life. This is my pick
Talespin should have gone longer than a single season. I know that was Disney's formula for shows back then, but damnit I wanted more.
Gargoyles. It wasn't as good as the first two seasons, but I liked where the plot was heading with the Goliath Chronicles. Should have kept going, should have never lost Greg.
Earthworm Jim. The BEST animated adaptation of any videogame ever. EVER. 23 episodes wasn't enough.
Sonic the Hedgehog(SatAM). The series that launched a million autismos. It's not that great, but fuck you I liked it. Was pissed it got cancelled on a cliffhanger. Kinda bummed the comic just got killed.
Those Jitaten Skarbanzos at the network will pay
Moonbeam City
Was he the best live-action representation as Batman & Bruce Wayne?
>>94403563
I didn't know better at the time but I liked the movies a lot. Especially that molded bat butt scene
>>94403602
I understand... but in terms of acting did he best represent both sides (Bruce & Bat)
I feel like other live action representations lacked in one persona or the other.
Just a thought.

>"Literally, you are being asked to purchase comics you can’t sell, in order to gain access to comics that you can," said San Francisco's Comix Experience retailer Brian Hibbs in of the program in his column at The Beat. "While a small handful of people are willing or able to buy multiple copies of the same insides, the largest majority of customers just want a single version to buy."
>Dennis Barger, owner of Detroit's Quickstop Comics and Wonderworld Comics, is one of those that like the "Meet or Exceed" sales strategy, and sees a silver lining in it.
>"These variants are great: they're the carrot, 100-200% of the regular is the stick," Barger told Newsarama. "Sure it's a stick retailers don't want, but with Marvel throwing deep discounts, making variants count towards the increases etc, I think Marvel is doing everything right with this rebooting re-mergering that they need to to make it a success, including, making retailers order enough."

There is a very lengthy article/opinion piece over at comicsbeat about how ordering Legacy has been a clusterfuck:
http://www.comicsbeat.com/tilting-at-windmills-261-marvel-comics-and-the-deck-chairs-of-the-titanic/
>What does meeting that gate get you? Well, again, this is only for now, because Marvel has this nasty nasty habit of changing and adding permutations as we get closer to “Final Order Cutoff” (which sucks because that means as a retailer you have to do your math and calculations multiple times unless you don’t place “initial orders” [which can carry its own consequences, see below]) – but currently if you meet that gate, then you’ll be allowed to order 1) “INVINCIBLE IRON MAN #593 DAVIS LH VAR LEG” (which despite lack of that word in the actual product name is the “Lenticular Homage” Variant) 2) “INVINCIBLE IRON MAN #593 ZDARSKY HOW TO DRAW VAR LEG”, and if you “only” match 200% of your orders, then you get blessed to be able to order 3) “INVINCIBLE IRON MAN #593 TRADING CARD VAR LEG”. This doesn’t include the 1:10 and 1:50 covers. Three of these five covers don’t even yet have art for which a retailer can base a decision upon, either!
>But, in short if you don’t order 225% of a previous issue of “Iron Man”, then you are not allowed to order any copies of those two variants. None at all.
>Now the Lenticular covers are fairly new – in fact, originally the announced plan was to simply have a “Homage” variant for each “Legacy” book. The one for IM #593 is a call-back to IM volume 1 #150. These covers were originally announced as not being lenticular at all, and, oddly, the lenticular is a replacement and not an addition – there’s no longer a non-lenticular edition of any of them.
