Is this one of those panels that makes some amount of sense in context?
Fuck this was so God damn good. Anyone else read it?
Hazel makes me melt.
I disliked the ending but I enjoyed the rest of the book very much.
From 1 to 10 I'd give it a meh.
Yes, she certainly was scalding hot!

Hey he's doing better than Namor at least.
Are Variant covers harmful to the industry?
>>81495655
Probably
No. In fact I'd say it's helpful. the artist who made the variant cover? Gets more money for doing it
The biggest series of Variants being "DK III: The Master Race" with an astonishing 52 covers!
>been reading superman since I was a kid
>loved MoS
>got so hyped for a sequel
>batman will be in it
>might be cool
>turns out half of its an ad for JL
>probably won't ever get a sequel with based Cavill because of BvS and how shit it was
Fuck BvS seriously
>>81495241

>>81495241

I'm not gonna lie, this is the most beautiful CG movie I've ever seen. Absolutely gorgeous from start to finish.
>>81494988
Right? I can't stop watching it. When thus movie goes on Bluray, I'm probably gonna watch it every couple of days.
>>81495162
Yeah, I'm definitely looking forward to when that day comes, because I never had the chance to watch it in theatres
The gf and I just got back from seeing it and we agree. Very cute and fun movie.
Why am I not surprised?
Political cartoon thread?
>>81494492
is it true that ben's site got taken down?
Are there any political cartoons that don't fucking label everything?
Do political cartoons serve ANY purpose other than dumbing down current issues for the layman? I swear to fucking christ every single political cartoon I've seen is so masturbatory and self-righteous.
Why is this hack given so much praise?

Bendis?
>People still think Brian Michael Bendis is bad because of a 4chan meme
I have a girl coming over this weekend to watch cartoons. I think a movie would be a good idea but I am not sure which. She likes shows like Adventure Time and Steven Universe so I am trying to find a fun animated film but all I can think to watch are Heavy Metal and Redline, but I don't think the former really fits.
Thoughts?
>>81494122
Hmm...
Off the top of my head,
Wizards
Cats Don't Dance
The Iron Giant (this, especially)

Secret of Nimh is a pretty gnarly imaginative and beautiful animated film.
But if you are in for more mature fare and far more psychadelic and unusual fare...someone else mentioned Wizards. I would also recommend that. Ralph bakshi's coolest flick in my opinion.

Take note....it is very VERY 70s.
>>81494343
I've seen the first and last. Never seen cats don't dance so I'll check out the trailer.
Iron Giant is definitely going on the list.

Why is Al Jaffee so based?
>>81493629
>MAD Magazine
I'm not american, but I find that book extremely boring. Is still relevant at all?
>>81493825
Sergio Aragones and Al Jaffee are the only two things of merit about the current magazine.
John Caldwell passed away earlier this year.
>>81493825
I read this in the wikipedia article about Mad and it pretty much summed it up pretty well:
>The magazine's art director, Sam Viviano, has suggested that historically, Mad was at its best "whenever you first started reading it."
Also,
>>81493925, Sergio Aragones really should start up his anthology comic again. It was delightful.
This isn't out of context. This isn't misquoted. This wasn't a led question. This is just how he thinks.
Why do you want him to even be aware of these characters?
>>81493545
He managed to go on a full paragraph without about saying a single thing.
That's impressive. Usually you have to be speaking Japanese to accomplish that shit.
>>81493545
>snyderfags will defend this
>>81494255
Proudly, in fact.
How is Lucifer?
I recently finished Sandman and loved it, and have heard that this is supposed to be good as well.
I think its not as good Sandman but still worth a read.
It's very good.
It's also very different. While Sandman did have an overarching storyline, over half of it is a fantasy anthology series. Lucifer is much more arc-focused and deals with entirely different characters and areas of the Vertigo universe.
I think it's probably one of my top 10 comics overall.
I'm basically, very slowly trying to go through them all. Except Swamp Thing, never interested me.
I loved Sandman. It was amazing. In my top 10.
Constantine? I was really surprised to find that I don't really like it. I loved the TV show, and the concept, but dated art and long drawn out arcs are just really boring me.
Lucifer, I don't know yet, I haven't really given it a chance so far. In theory, as I love anything with any sort of judeo-christian mythology, it should be my favorite. But, I also thought I would love Constantine. So my confidence is shaken.
Picking up where we left off.
