Grant Morrison, Zack Snyder, Bruce Timm, and Christopher Nolan set to produce and direct a new Batman movie in 2017 starring Adam West, Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, Christian Bale, and Ben Affleck.
According to Morrison, "This is a story I've been planning for years. I've been working closely with Snyder and Nolan in secret on their last few films to lay the groundwork for a massive epic that spans across multiple mutiverses."
The working title for this new film is Batman v Batman v Batman v Batman v Batman v Batman.

But most of their TV is great. Better than the garbage movies at least.
Are we on the brink of a new Spongebob golden age after 12 long years?
>>81562843
Meh, since Zeus Cervas and Casey Alexander left things have been getting better, but calling it a new golden age is a bit premature.
>>81562843
Wow is Spongebob actually becoming better?
>>81563031
Steven Hillenburg came back and the two worst writers left, so it's slightly better
Just saw this movie.
Why the fuck were the reviews so mediocre? I really liked it. I probably have the same amount of problems/nitpicks with Inside Out as with this movie, so I don't know why people didn't like this one as much.
What did you guys think about it?
I didn't really get what was wrong with it either. I went in expecting it to be really crude and obnoxious the way people were talking about it, but it's kind of subdued and pleasant. Hell, the kid acting like a dog isn't pushed as much as the trailers led on, he's portrayed as 'human' on a number of occasions.
Cars and Brave are far worse films.
It's not original. I don't think that's a problem, but people do. The animation was gorgeous
It just felt really underwhelming overall. The animation was all it had going for it, while the plot lacked any substance.
I took forty cakes and I care what you think

There's like three references in that one sentence alone.
>Thunderbolts added in several games and the cartoon out of the blue
Not suspicious at all Marvel.
>>81562382
>yfw Thunderbolts replace Captain Marvel's movie
>>81562382
As someone who recently became a fan of the Thunderbolts, I approve of this out of nowhere push. Yes, please give me more T-Bolts, and have Karla troll the shit out of Bucky like the little fuccboi he is. Also bring back Troll and Jolt. Kubik is cute, but three daughterus are better than one.
>>81562382
>implying it didn't have anything to do with the sudden /co/ story time of every issue of Thunderbolts a few months before hand
Tim Seeley interview
http://thecomicsourceblog.com/comic-source-podcast-090-wonder-con-files-tim-seeley-interview/
>globetrotting, not in Gotham
>Dick still doing spy stuff, but on his own
>infiltrating Parliament of Owls
>new mentor will be some crazy anarchist
>will probably still see Middy and Spyral (according to other interviews)
>basically still Grayson with a costume change
>>81562300
Also
>Dick starts questioning whether the things Bruce taught him are right for him and if Bruce taught him enough
Hence the new mentor
>also the mentor is a guyHow old will his new mentor be?
>>81562381
>mentor is a guy
>>81562300
I think globe-trotting Nightwing is at least a more interesting idea than another repetition of Bludhaven/New York/Chicago, and I like Tim Seeley, but I'll still probably stay mad about losing Grayson for a while. It's not the same when he's Nightwing, which is the definition of comfy.
And Bruce and Dick used to be the perfect mentor-mentee relationship. So meh.
oh god, the future looks grim. These faces.

Holy shit! This is really violent for Marvel Cinematic! Is this really canon with the other movies? Will Daredevil be in any Marvel films coming up?
What does /co/ think of this?
>>81561667
>Will Daredevil be in any Marvel films coming up
Probably not. The heads of the Marvel film and TV divisions have issues with each other so any sort of crossover between any of the shows to the movies is unlikely.
But even if they sorted those issues out it's still unlikely. Since the Netflix series are so much more violent they don't want to include those characters in their otherwise more or less child-safe movies and have their parents think "Oh they showed up here so their show must be fine for my kid."
>>81561775
Hmm. It's interesting how they mention NYC being fucked up at the end of the first Avengers though. That means whoever was writing at least at the beginning was at least kinda hoping to have some sort of crossover stuff.Who tf could imagine Hawkeye and Black Widow existing in the same universe as that dude who impaled his own face
>>81561878
They're still set in the same universe. It's just unlikely you'll ever see any of the shows' characters in a movie, or any of the bigger name movie characters in a show. Though the latter is more because of budget than because Marvel Studios refuses to allow the TV series to have them.
THIS.. IS A...

What's the consensus? Better or worse than The Outlaws?
Is garbage worse than shit? It's Lobdell either way.
>>81561664
Shit can be garbage, and garbage can be shitty.
They aren't mutually exclusive things, shit.
It made me want to fuck Joker's Daughter.
So I hate it.
What is it about old spongebob that made it so good, and why hasn't any other cartoon manage to achieve it since?
Good writing and good like-able characters, and it was the one of the few shows around its time that didn't have to rely on over the top gross out humor & rudeness in order to be funny and appeal to kids. That's what they said on the documentary about Spongebob at least
>>81561158
all of this, but the setting was also fun and different from the norm.
plenty of other cartoons surpassed spongebob.
>avatar: the last airbender
>gravity falls
>fairly oddparents seasons 2-4
>dexter's lab first few seasons
>adventure time first few seasons

I probably missed /co/'s verdict on this; I thought it was pretty cute.
>>81560905
> Ridiculously recognizable IP
> Style literally halves render costs for lots of shots
Wet producer's dream too, probably.
Also, does somebody know if they used different models for different views of the characters, like front/profile and whatnot?
>>81560905
I like that they kept the original style, but also made it look more modern and clean at the same time. I appreciate that they knew what to change and what to keep the same.
>>81560905
I loved it, to my surprise. Not even big into peanuts, but I was just so happy while watching it a couple of weeks ago at my gf's place. She didn't really pay attention, but I was really into the movie.
Didn't like that dance song they choose; felt like something played in a trailer not the actual film.
Which to watch (or avoid)?
Is there an order to watch these?
Honestly, there's not many you can go wrong with. DC is formidable in the animated movie arena. Just go to town.
>>81560859
>Is there an order to watch these?
Not really. Most are based on comic arcs and are standalone. I guess just the ones that tie into the DCAU/Timmverse.
>>81560859
Avoid Flashpoint like the plague. God-awful character designs, terrible voice-acting and its drowning in edge.
Whats are the worst and best Disney Direct to Video Sequels?
>Lion king 2.
Everything else on that list is cancer and should be avoided at all costs.
The Aladdin sequels are ok, 3 is better than 2 though.
>>81560852
I don't get why people like this movie so much. Its no better than Return of Jafar. Personally, I was surprised how good Peter Pan 2 was. Everything else makes a mockery of the characters and continuity set up in the original film.
