Literally who? Have these characters ever appeared in the comics?
Yes.
Not really, they've been mentioned as a random joke by Barks which Rosa took seriously like the unrepentant fanboy he is.
Wonder what he's doing now. Blind, poor and a head full of quack.

well the comic is still going

>that sound the last soldier makes
Cap should have had the basic decency of asking him if he would die if he pulled that off.
>>81851081
He wasn't a big guy tho
>>81851081
Who cares about the last solider, look at what he did to the first.
>>81851081
There is something about the sound andSFX in that clip that sounds very wrong.
TDKR retroactively raped and murdered the trilogy, so, yeah, what we would have got instead would have likely been far more compelling.
>Batman for maybe 2 years, tops.
>Had five rogues, if you stretch Ra's, and movie Two Face, to fit.
>Had a brand new tragic love interest, whose death made him retire after practically no career.
>No Bat family.
>Potentially hands all his toys over to a random cop, and goes to Paris with Catwoman.
I mean, shit. Unless the cop becomes the best street-level Batman ever (because once those toys are broken, there are no more getting made, as Lucius retired), this Elseworld has to have the least happen in it of any.
>>81850790
Red Letter Media loved the movie. Therefore your opinion is wrong.
Mic Drop
>>81850790
I liked TDKR. It wasn't as good as Begins or the Dark Knight, but it wasn't horrible. It just seemed weird that Batman stopped being Batman for seven years and after the League of Assassins tried to blow it up and the Joker showed up saying he "changed things" nothing happened to warrant a Batman.
>>81850790
It's weird.
I feel like Nolan was afraid that if he didn't cap Batman straight in the head with this movie, WB would continue the series without him.
And that's why he went out of his way to wrap the entire thing up in the most un-Batman way possible.
Hand-drawn animation is the future of animation
>>81850759
Only until Asian countries make progress on the human rights front and 2D animation is no longer economically viable.
why does hand drawn look a lot better?
Just downloaded this.
What am I in for, /co/?
A show where a mopey superhero fails to save anyone and then kills the villain at the end. But it's good because Marvel made it.
Boredom.
>>81850689
something thoroughly meh. Not as bad as the haters hate it, but not as good as the dicksucker like it.
its got solid moments but a weak ending imo.
GREETINGS, /co/.

what does it take to make a character have an emotional connection with its audience?
what were the best books you read that did this?
What does character development mean to you?
What were the best books you read that did this?
ok to be fair it does look silly after a while
just watch daredevil or flash, for anything prolonged they at least take the cowl off
>>81850323
Don't make the movie too serious and it won't be a problem.
>>81851337
>>81851288
Make the characters compelling ant it won't e a problem either. And Superman especially has no fucking excuse. He doesn't wear a mask so he can emote just fine. If it bugs you that much just frame him from the collar up instead of going "NOPE CAN'T HAVE HIM TALK TOO SILLY BETTER JUST BLOW UP THE ROOM"
What emotion does this face portray?
>>81849945
None.
Down Syndrome is a disorder, not an emotion.
Sexual climax.
>>81849945
cancelled
You know the drill.

I've just read Batman: Year One, ASBAR 1-10. TDKR and TDKSA. I don't understand why people say the Batman is so badly characterized in ASBAR. Read the rest of the millerverse Batman and the signs of Bruce going way over board are there from Year One, through TDKR and TDKSA. I mean, for fuck's sake, ASBAR Batman is supposed to be a more psycho, violent Batman because he doesn't have a Robin to calm him down and make him more sensible.
Why is it so hard for people to understand that between Year One to ASBAR, Bruce goes nuts? The signs are all there in Year One frankly. I mean, by issue 10, he has clearly calmed the fuck down due to the presence of Robin. I feel like people hate this Batman because its "not muh"
>>81849394
I think it's just because people feel he's way too much of an asshole.
I liked ASBAR though. In fact it and DK2 made me reassess Spawn/Batman and I enjoyed that more than I did back when it was published.
>>81849418
Since I'm reading through Millerverse, I want to read Spawn/Batman too. I just can't get my hands on it.
And speaking of TDKSA, I think Batman is a bit more like ASBAR Bats by that time, maybe due to having been Batman for what, 2-3 years again since TDKR?
>>81849394
>and the signs of Bruce going way over board are there from Year One,
Not really. With Year One he's not over-the-top as he is in ASBAR. The only case I can think of that might've been over the top was him punching a corrupt cop through a wall for shooting a cat, but eh.
That being said, if you go and read Miller's Holy Terror as imagine it as Batman, Catwoman, and Jim Gordon in the roles they were supposed to be in, and set it between Year One and ASBAR as Miller intended, then it actually does explain how drastic he is in ASBAR.
I feel heartbroken /co/, I need to gamble a stamp, what are some comics similar to Flex Mentallo

>“It’s very sophisticated,” Cheo Hodari Coker told Collider. “I mean, it’s got a ’90s hip-hop vibe, but it’s really forward-thinking.

I should get around to watching the wire.
New disney short

Saw it already. I wish Disney would put more effort into making everything as fun and cool as these shorts. Live action is death.

I legit laughed out loud when she knit herself a ninja suit. Not much makes me do that these days.

That Phantom Blot cameo that guy dose not get enough love as an antagonist.
Am I safe if I read only the 11 New Gods issues, or are the forever people + Jimmy Olsen issues essential to understanding the Fourth World mythos?
>>81849171
No. Read Mister Miracle faggot,
>>81849225
This.
Also, what's the catch with Jimmy Olsen of all people to be THAT important in Fourth World?
>>81849304
he's not important to the actual fourth world stuff, he just happens to be near fourth world events when they happen
http://pitchfork.com/news/64795-a-tribe-called-quests-ali-shaheed-muhammad-and-adrian-younge-scoring-marvels-luke-cage/
>A Tribe Called Quest's Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Adrian Younge Scoring Marvel’s "Luke Cage"
>In an interview with Pitchfork, they revealed that they were scoring a TV project with a full orchestra conducted by Brainfeeder associate Miguel Atwood-Ferguson. Now, that project has been revealed—they're behind the music of Marvel's upcoming Netflix series "Luke Cage." Showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker confirmed the collaboration to Entertainment Weekly. “It’s very sophisticated. I mean, it’s got a ’90s hip-hop vibe, but it’s really forward-thinking. We have Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad doing the scoring for us,” he said.
Thoughts?
>>81849026
Orchestra meets hip hop actually sounds interesting. I hope they release it somewhere.
