Do you like or dislike Geoff Johns' take on Batman, /co/? In JL, Earth One, or otherwise.
>>82675871
Dislike. He comes off as a bumbling, petulant child.
It's not humanization, it's bastardization.
>>82675871
Johns is just not a very good writer or even a bright guy. He couldn't properly express his love for Hal in 80+ issues juust as he can't properly express his disdain of Batman.
Former's "he the best I swear!", latter's "he stink haha look at him!"
>>82676376
I don't know where the idea that johns "hates batsman" came from but it's bullshit.
How would you make the UN's reasoning for the governing of The Avengers not seem so retarded in the movies and how would you make the 'Sokovia Accords' look a lot more reasonable to tony and the viewers.
One thing I thought would probably work or at least be a lot more reasonable was ifPepper Pottswas still with Tony and made him realize that if he actually wouldn't sign the deal that UN would make it impossible for Stark Industries to survive with him stopping hims number one source of income that was weapon and destroying pretty much all his suits that was like one of his biggest investments ever.
But that's all I got. Maybe if they made the casualties a lot higher and have them screw up alot more then what they did. Or have The avengers share their resources such as designs of Iron Mans robots from AoU.
>>82675772
>How would you make the UN's reasoning for the governing of The Avengers not seem so retarded in the movies and how would you make the 'Sokovia Accords' look a lot more reasonable to tony and the viewers.
Because if you actually paid attention the movie did just that without saying who was right.
>Ross: If you guys don't keep it down you're gonna cause more trouble for regular humans like us and you'll get what's coming to ya
>Cap: No way man! We're superior beings! We don't need you to watch us! We'll take responsibilities in our own hands!
>The Avengers gets dismantled by a regular human who was a victim of the previous movie's destruction
>>82676052
yeah but for me and a lot of other people it was them saving millions from dying
and it was presented by Ross who was the reason New York got destroyed by the villain from the second hulk movie and this movie came out after winter soldier that will just making the point that the UN should not have control over The avengers that much stronger. Tony looked stupid for the most of the movie for a lot of people.
>>82676335
>yeah but for me and a lot of other people it was them saving millions from dying
Then you are those other people are retarded. It was a accumulation of lives and property damage they've made up until that point. Wanda destroyed a building and the people inside all to capture one bad guy.
>and it was presented by Ross who was the reason New York got destroyed by the villain from the second hulk movie
Not the same Ross
>and this movie came out after winter soldier that will just making the point that the UN should not have control over The avengers
HYDRA=/=UN
Spider-Man is a tragic character driven by guilt. Anyone else worried the MCU won't explore the dramatic side of the character and turn him into le shallow quippy teenager? They won't show Uncle Ben's death, and I doubt the MCU will havee a Gwen Stacy to kill off as well. At least the Garfield movies tried to have the ballance between drama and comedy.
>>82675583
I just hope it has a style and distinct look to it. Because all non GOTG marvel movies look like TV shows with large budgets
Feige said he wants Homecoming to feel like a John Hughes movie. That's good enough for me
>complaining about spiderman quipping
Is this going to be one of the hardest costume to adapt to the screen without potentially pissing off fans /co/?
>people expect live action costumes to look like comics
He's probably just wear a green shirt and yellow baseball cap.

You mean a black bulletproof vest?
hopefully they don't try

TMNT thread! Give us your thoughts on the comics, cartoons, movies and so on. How are you enjoying the IDW comic? The Nick cartoon? Looking forward to the Bebop and Rocksteady Destroy Everything comic? Excited for the new movie? Creaming your shorts over Leatherhead? Got a favorite turtle character? Wanna rank the cartoons or movies? This is the place to do it. Let's talk some turtles.

i only like the original comics, the first four movies (and not everything about each one), and the 2003 series (and not every single thing about it, and certainly not the last seasons)
now i'm going to leave because that severely limits my ability to participate in the thread
>>82676246
No need to leave. What is it that you like about the third live action movie if I might ask? Is it nostalgic to you? I mean I have not seen the full movie myself but I do like the basic idea of them traveling to ancient Japan but other than that it does not seem to have a lot to offer.
1990>SotO>Forever>2007>2014>Movie 3

Those aren't arrows, those are Gaston-sized darts.

The fact that his chin isn't square.

look at those last two photos. you can clearly see the despair in his eyes. you can also see the pain in that scowl.
what emotion is that first face supposed to be?
What is the point to running an all powerful crime syndicate when there is literally no one on your planet that can stop you? If you want money you could just demand it. Whats the point of money if you are the most powerful being in your world? Couldn't you just take what you wanted? Why go through all the stress and hassle being the head of your organization? Speaking of which, why do you need henchmen? I get that supervillians have minions, but that's because they need meat shields to soften up the heroes before they bawl. Why not declare yourself the king of the world and just sit around surrounded by luxury?
>>82674648
He's petty. He's enforcing the bureaucracy and he's at the top, and beyond just "strutting his stuff" he needs to know exactly how you "measure up" to his competition. forming an empire and seeing someone attack allows you to determine enemies reel quick.
>>82674648
Because in most iterations, Ultraman is kind of an idiot.
>>82674648
>If you want money you could just demand it.
and he does want money, so he demands it, and gets it.
>Whats the point of money if you are the most powerful being in your world? Couldn't you just take what you wanted?
the point of money is to make everyone give it to you, in acknowledgement that you're the most powerful being in your world.
>Why not declare yourself the king of the world and just sit around surrounded by luxury?
That's literally what he did.
What does /co/ think of Katana?

What's good from this publisher? I've only read Afterlife with Archie and pic related, what else is worth downloading?
Life With Archie was a pretty great series
>>82674395
Is Afterlife with Archie a sequel to that? I mean, I'm pretty sure Archie dies at the end, so it'd make sense.
>>82674468
Life With Archie/Married Life was the one where they used continuity and character development, then split it off into two stories per issue, one about a universe where he married Betty, the other Veronica.
It's unconnected to Afterlife.
I'm told the crossovers with Predator and Sharknado are good.
The reboot books are boring at best.
So considering Rick's backstory, is it really safe to assume Beth and by extension her children are, you know, fully human?
>>82674140
>sometimes you can be so... What's the word I'm looking for... Oh yeah, human.
>You can't help it because it runs in the family, I can tolerate it but I'm not going to always put up with it.
Yeah OP, that could be a possibility
>>82674140
You know what's really sad? Not that Rick abandoned Beth to be a freedom fighter, but that he gave up somewhere half way and came back home meaning that Beth suffered for nothing.
>>82674140
It's almost certainly a backstory the creator of the show himself hasn't even written yet. To this day there is no canon answer.
Why is no one talking about the aftermath of Civil War?
The ending is greatly going to affect things for practically every MCU movie.
The movie came out almost a week ago. We've talked about everything and now your options for discussion are the cute/gay thread or the rule 63 thread.
It won't take long to undo all of it come Infinity War
>Tony literally just needs time to cool off an think things through
>As soon as Thanos shows up and Iron Man, War Machine, and Vision aren't enough to stop him the UN will begrudgingly let Cap off the hook and admit he's right
>Bruce will return and see both sides of the argument
>Thor won't give a shit
>None of the Avengers every really trusted Stark anyway
>>82673984
Everything thread is about _____ was right.
Thats pretty much it.
