/co/, can we have a thread dedicated to buff girls?
OK.
What did I just watch?

Fantastic planet. Bsed on the novel ohms by the dozen. Visually appealing, great sound track, kinda lethargic story wise.. overall a cool weirdo movie.
Otherworldly madness
>>82962197
The story is a metaphor for Soviet occupation of Czechoslovakia.
Did anyone like this ship, or is it pretty much universally agreed it was super cringe-worthy?

>tries to play the curveball and pair up Widow and Hulk
>despite the fact that he set up for Widow/Hawkeye in the first movie and he was planning on doing that
>oh no I can't have people expecting things I gotta surprise them I gotta do something CUHRAZY
It was just dumb of Whedon to set up her and Hawkeye, only to abandon it because he wanted to be lol so random.
I'm like 80% sure there isn't a single person who likes this or even remembers it
>>82962006

Cool, we're getting a Birdman sequel.

Were only 5 days out. What do you guys plan to start picking up? Any hope Green Arrow will be good again?
>>82961486
Percy is still writing GA so I doubt it'll be good
I think we've already seen a couple pages and it's littered with narration like the rest of his GA
Picking up Batman (Tom King on Vision convinced me that he can make Batman a good character again) and Detective Comics (I'm a sucker for villain redemption stories, and my favorite Batman rogue is on the team). Nothing else though, I'm pretty salty that we STILL don't have a Captain Shazam ongoing.
>>82961486
None and No. I'll wait, if any book looks good I might consider picking it up. But I've been burned too much and other than Pre-Flashpoint Supes and Aquaman I think the line is shit. Arrow is going to continue SQ with Ollie becoming more of a modern liberal ala bernie. So if that's what you want, there. Aquaman looks good but I don't trust DC not to cancel it.
what is the difference between ultimate spiderman and amazing spiderman?
Amazing is the oringal Spider-Man where ultimate is an alternative universe Spider-Man where the story all takes place while he is still in highschool.
>>82961552
This. Plus, in TASM Peter becomes more and more mature whilst in Ultimate he is a spoiled brat forever.
>>82961568
I am going to assume you mean Ultimate Cartoon Peter and not Ultimate Comics Peter. because Ult. Comics Peter matured a changed a lot over his brutal life.

Those are a list of dc shows either airing, picked up for pilots or in production now. Geoff Johns as CCO has a supervising role on every one of them and writes for a few (and stars in one)
Geoff Johns is now co head of DC Films a company that is putting out AT LEAST there feature length films a year.
Every week not only does Johns meet with the group editors of every dc comic to supervise and work through them with all the plots but he ALSO has weekly summits with DC head Diane Nelson and WB Kevin Tsujihara
On top of that he consults on merchandise, like when he co developed the DC Superhero Girls line with Mattel or the DC Cereal stuff with General Mills AND he works on a there video games like Injustice and the upcoming shared vidya universe they are doing.
All that while he ALSO has to expand every single one of those platforms with new content (making more work for himself).
Today there is not a single aspect of DC Comics in any media that you can consume that hasnt been filters at least once through the vision of Geoff Johns.
My question is...how the hell does he do it all! He was stretched thin when he was acting as a glorified wiki, now he is RUNNING shit. A lot of shit.
Jesus christ co.
>>82961260
Did you not get enough replies in the other thread?
>>82961305
I copied that list from the thread and then broke down the metric shit ton of work Johns does
Thats a pretty big workload, hell even if he is just answering emails for writers questions thats enough content to put him in 50 hour work weeks easy
>>82961260
I doubt he has a hand in most of the Vertigo stuff like iZombie.
>Ernie falls in love with a girl, Lola
>Enjoys genuine traits about her
>Lola notices this and gives him a chance
>Enjoys his company
>Turns out she can still hold a bias despite her positive traits
>Ernie decides it's not worth being friends with her if she doesn't see past his traits, even though he admires her positive traits
>Later Lola comes to apologize
>Understands those types of traits shouldn't make or break their relationship
>Role reversal, Lola is humble to Ernie
>Ernie understands this and forgives her
>They go back to square one of friendship instead of just trying to continue dating

Is Catman and Batman evenly skilled?
>>82960903
Before Nu52? Yeah, seemed that way, I remember Catman fighting both Batman and Bronze Tiger to a standstill.
Nu52 Catman is more skilled than Batgirl, but less so than the Talons and Shiva.
Fuck no
>>82960996
So does that Catman'll get btfo by Dick or Jason?
Why did he get nerfed in Nu52 though? He should be at least as skilled as Batman imo.
Whats the best Cyanide and Happiness comic and why is it pic related

Does /co/ even like C&H? I rarely see it talked about around here.
The random comic generator is consistently the funniest thing to come out of C&H
I just got back from Angry Birds, well I didn't JUST get back I stopped for a smoothie, but anyway I saw the movie. Let's just get the important stuff out of the way.
First things first,Yes, they do end the movie with a giant dance number
Secondly,/pol was WRONG. Wrong, wrong, wrong. Surprising I know.
We've all seen the edits and images, for instance http://i.imgur.com/yqp02cB.png, but they are so far off.
I'm sure /pol/ jumped the gun because they correlated the birds drinking and swimming in the lake of piss with Germany, easy mistake.
Here's what the movie is really about:Incel Rage. That's right, the entire plot of the movie is driven by Red (the main character) and his lack of relationships. All throughout the movie you see tons of loving families and attractive male birds skipping off with tons of hot younger birds and Red gets super butthurt about all of it because none of it is happening to him. Like many Supreme Gentlemen before him, his anger issues would likely be solved with finally getting him rage. But instead of a brothel, he gets sent to anger management class with a bunch of other involuntarily celibate birds.
Here's what's "wrong" with the rest of the birds:
Chuck: He's a virgin because he's gay. If you've seen the movie you know what I'm referring to. The crossdressing, the ballet, etc etc. He's essentially a fruity twink who is on an island filled with tons of straight birds.
Bomb: Premature Ejaculator. You'd think it'd be the fast moving bird, but no. We see him fail to perform many times throughout the movie and we see him accidentally get too excited and explode everywhere. Exactly.
Terence: He's just fat and quiet. He's a gentle soul despite his "incident", but nobody likes fatties. We see him get turned down by someone who he thought could learn to love him.
We see everyone finally get over their respective issues, but that's at the end.
continued

So where do the pigs fit in:Besides the obvious plot antagonist stealing the eggs for omelets, they represent someone else.
The rich. The elite. People who aren't naturally attractive but can get tons of attention and ladies just from having cool toys, connections, and basically anything they want because they can afford it.
Red isn't just angry they are suspicious and they wreck the only place he could call home, he's angry because after all his years being neglected for having some tiny flaw that everyone hones in on, these pigs show up out of nowhere and dazzle everyone simply by having tons of cool stuff.
Red is Elliot Rodger gone good. Instead of killing innocents, he's killing off all the MGTOW, PUAs, and anyone else who gets in the way.
Red, despite having no children of his own, saves all of the eggs, which is obvious symbolism of return to normalcy where everyone falls in love with people due to who they are and now what they look like. Everyone loves Red again, Terence finally gets laid, Bomb performs well when he needs to, not before or after.
Good End.
Overall, the movie was fun for what it was. A cash in to get all that Angry Birds money all over again.
Really the only downside was all the casuals in the audience, screaming and crying and talking during the movie. Their parents should have left them at home or went to go see a movie that they would actually GET.
>>82960005
>him getting rage
*him getting laid, excuse me
Fucking Bump!
Why do you keep calling me Bill? My name is Lenore, silly. I've come back because, I love Bill sooo much and I really missed him!
I had a bad dream, I dreamt Lenore came back and stole Lenore and then Lenore drove off with Lenore and I ran down the street after them and I yelled Lenore!, Lenore! and then my teeth fell out... oh yeah Peggy you were there... can I sleep in your living room?
You are a gross man.
You don't know who I am but I know where you live!
Star Wars sucks. Like all the movies, TV shows, and merchandise.
I agree. It's over rated and far too popular.
>>82959763
Okay. You'd get more response on /tv/ though, the Rebels thread is most of it around here.
Fuck you
