>What is this storytime series all about?
Everyday for the month of June 2016 (the rare 616 Month), I storytime certain old Earth-616 Marvel Comics issues on their anniversary/if there's pottery when their respective release dates and issue & volume issues align. Watch out for the consecutive appearances of the numbers 6, 1, and 6.
>For what purpose?
Milestone celebrations of Earth-616, Universe-7 (the mainstream Marvel Universe before the 2015 event "Secret Wars").
>Where do I find previous storytimes in this series?
Previous storytimes: http://desustorage.org/co/search/subject/616%20Month%20Storytime
>And today I storytime...05/04/1976Kull the Destroyer #16This comic, although a literary adaptation, was canon to Earth-616.
what kind of relationship do the Swamp Thing and Poison Ivy have with each other? Is Poison Ivy officially an agent of The Green in the new 52?
>>83467612
>New 52.
That's funny. You are funny.
>>83467612
The better question is...
Can she take the Vine?
>>83467793
well I don't know what else to call it, it's the continuity where the Red and the Green and the Grey get established, I think
Is this good even if I'm in my 20s and haven't read much Spider-Man before? I tried getting into it before and it felt like they were laying on the teen drama aspect of it really thick. Is that just what Spider-Man is? Is it already too late for me to become a fan?
>>83467453
It's never too late to be a fan. And no, Spider-Man isn't typically about teen drama, most famous Spider-Man stories take place when he's in college or later. Ultimate Spider-Man is its own thing in a universe that no longer exists
>>83467533
Should I just not read USM, then? That was what most people recommended me.
>>83467624
if you don't like it, stop and read the ASM run instead.
Why was she so obsessed about graduating from a Beauty Academy and her stupid Christian Puppet Show when she was already a talented mechanic
Hank even commends her that she has a useful skill Bobby fails at
>>83467425
Progressively through the seasons Luanne becomes a more and more horrible person. Not simply Peggy Hill horrible, but outright malicious and overtly selfish.
Whether this was just natural evolution of her character given her parents are trash and her guardian is a cunt or something done on purpose to show how much of a better person Lucky is than her is debatable.
>>83467508
I think this might be intentional
Luanne's father was a raging redneck white trash alcoholic and so was her mom who was also a severe druggie with psychotic anger issues
Luanne has the worst genes of both
>>83467425
They never dropped it so much as never did anything with it in the first place. Every time it came up (about twice in both the first and second seasons, and once in season 13), it was only a small detail in an episode about something/someone else. It was never mentioned or featured in a Luanne-centric episode.
I know people wanted plotlines like Hank reluctantly bonding with Luanne about her knowledge of cars or Luanne realizing that she was pursuing beauty school instead of utilizing the talents she already had, but there never seemed to be any indication that the writers themselves planned to do that. Even when they got her out of beauty school, the best thing anyone on the writing team apparently thought to do was send her to community college so that she could... I dunno, do "something else" ~2 years from then.
Her being a mechanic is such a pointless detail that even in the early seasons they might as well never have included it. I'd like if they had an episode about it, but it was like they never considered how to make it work with the rest of her character traits.
What are your thoughts on Cloak and Dagger?
//thread
>>83467458
But why
>>83467414
Never read any of their shit, but always though they were a cool concept. Especially Cloak. If I wrote for them, i'd basically make it Cloak getting into wild adventures in some sort of dark demon dimension.
So what happened to him?
>>83467386
everyone hated him until he died from it
>>83467386
Character assassination.
Followed by actual assassination
>>83467386
He was so right, that he died
What went soright?
>>83467233
The Sasquatch song.
>>83467298
I was about to ask if good musical episodes are the hallmark of a well written serious, then I remembered Family Guy, which kind of throws that theory for a curve.
But seriously is it me, or do most well written comedies feature at least one musical episode?
Futurama had a few, South Park has had multiple-not including the movie-, there's Wonder Over Yonder, What's Opera Doc, ect.
>>83467233
oh fuck this got cancelled?

So heres a rundown of events in case you haven't been keeping up
>Joe-Con 2015: Hasbro announces they have "Big plans" for G.I.Joe in the next year. Joe fans scoff at the idea because if something isn't spelt out for them they dismiss it.
>Rumors start to circle about a "Hasbro Shared Universe" ala Marvel and DC. with brands that haven't been around since the 80s with G.I.Joe and Transformers leading the way.
>IDW annouces new on-goings for Micronauts, ROM the Space Knight and M.A.S.K. coming in the spring of 2016
>Toy Fair 2016: it's official Paramount along with some Marvel Show-runners and Brian K Vaughn are working on a Cinimatic Universe Staring G.I.Joe, M.A.S.K. Micronauts, Visionaries and ROM the Space Knight with Transformers being reworked in the universe with a Bumblebee spin-off.
>This week (Re)volution is annouced bringing in the respective Toylines in to a Shared Universe With a New G.I.Joe Comic series and Cartoon on the way.
>Hama's RAH is still it's own thing so the RAHfags can be quiet.
This isn't a reboot, just a merging of the lines I can't fucking wait for September.
>>83466799
>Forging a shared universe for Hasbro based comics
>Not bringing in Hasbro's biggest cash cow for a said shared universe venture
Dumb idea IDW.
Dumb idea.
You know what I'm talking about.
The mods don't know but we know.
>>83466948
Back to your containment board with you.
Your Small Equine bigger than Transformers
HAHAHA....I know you're right but God the butthurt generated from that would be massive.
Remember this?
Serious question but how did they get around with one of them being in the wheel chair?
Hey faggot are you member the title sequence of them all jump out of the Ecto-1 and then having to have him use a chairlift.
>>83466654
>Hey faggot
Dam I've been on this website to long even my AutoCorrect is adding the word faggot in for me.
> *I vaguely remember
>>83466654
The wheelchair dude was out of place and the grungy looking dude was too 90S COOL KID SLACKER for me.
The monsters were good. And at the very least it ended with the old Ghostbusters back in the team.
Are there any MLAATR artists out there that aren't retarded on some level? I'm starting to doubt it.
Way to fuck your thread up, OP.
>>83466603
Are you forgetting where on the Internet were on? This is 4chan.
>>83466697
Have you seen half the shit out there? It's a legit question. Don't attack me unless you've got an answer.
Heathcliff sells lemonade.
>>83466530
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
>>83466530
He's not wearing a lemonade helmet! How am I supposed to know what's happening?
>>83466530
Business are going well
What actor could take over the Wolverine role once he retires /co/?
They'll do Laura next instead of trying to find another guy.
>>83466188
fuck, jackman already had several decidedly unloganesque things about him. aint no way we'll find a better one, or even an okay one.
in fact i'm only being slightly hyperbolic when i say no comic book role will ever be well cast again
>>83466572
yes Laura
https://www.theguardian.com/film/2016/jun/02/ben-affleck-batman-movie-original-story-comics
Stop, Ben. Just stop. No more. You can't become like Snyder. You're going to crush the hopes and dreams of all of those DC fans who want to see Batman come backandAHAHAHAHAHAHA I can't fucking do it anymore! It just keeps getting worse for DC fans and this train wreck just keeps getting longer. Everyone point and laugh at Ben even more for even thinking of emulating Snyder.
uh you realize all he's saying is that he's creating an original story with elements from popular comic arcs, right? Like every single other superhero movie?
>>83466102
Nothing wrong with that. Batman as the only character done right by Snyder.
>inb4 muh no kill rule
He got it back the moment he refused to brand Luther in the face
Rape Snyder, Ben.
This is Elsa
>>83466045
And she is overrated.
There, done. Thread's over.
>>83466059
Not so fast, Gaylord.

>V.E.R.A. (Virtual Evolutionary Recombinant Avatar) was designed as an adaptive construct with one purpose; to train and mentor the Next Generation Guardians. Her programmer didn’t want her getting distracted, so he programmed her to be focused and determined. But once she’s 3-D bioprinted as a 15-year-old girl, some of her programming is altered, and she becomes more easily distracted. But Vera is a multitasking marvel, exploring all the fascinating aspects of this world and figuring out who she wants to be, while making sure the Guardians fulfill their mandate to protect and defend cyberspace. As an odd duck new human, Vera will provide a lot of comedic relief.
So basically a Code Lyoko ripoff. Rainmaker is really ruining the charm ReBoot had.
>>83465828
I wish I could reboot my heart. It has neither the skills nor knowledge to deal with this bullshit.
>>83465828
>they emphasis the leader of the team has to be caucasian
>the rest of the guys can be whatever
Ahahahahahahaha
>>83465828
Excuse me why is there even a mention of the real world outside of beliefs the programs have what are you doing?
