This was the era of standardized covers, everything had to have a villain attacking the hero, and dialogue.

Even if you want to argue about the last panel, I'm not sure why the others had to be changed. Why would it be easier to get skin cancer instead of spider bites, and how would she make that happen as a grade school kid? And I liked the Oscorp bit.

But really, I don't get the fuss. Comics have a long history of being socially progressive, and often in rather hamfisted ways. It isn't a new thing. I'd rather have that than more reboots and grimdark nonsense.

I really admire tattoos when they're well-done and maintained but have none myself. So yeah fire away.

Just wait a couple years when they "semi-temporary tattoo" technique gets perfected and you can get tattoos that last a couple years instead of your whole life.

yeah it's a mess. Old Man Steve, like... ugh. Ugh. Just seeing him makes me mad. Between that and girl!Thor we had two semi-interesting concepts taken fucking nowhere. Like... they're not even the legacy character! They don't have to stall! Can't they do something interesting, at least?!

And I've given up altogether on Iron Man, at this point we've had so many writer changeovers where I went, "well, it can't possibly get any worse" and then IT MANAGED IT that I'm not even trying anymore. And it's BMB so I'm not even vaguely conflicted.

I've heard Ta-Nehisi Coates' Black Panther is okay but I haven't been able to get my hands on it (keeps selling out at my local shop) so IDK
