>Cyclops has “lead” the X-Men on and off for over 40 years. However, over that same period he has managed to become one of the most disliked “heroes” in the Marvel Universe.
http://archive.is/6Udjp
>Q: Why all the hate for Cyclops?
>A: Because Cyclops is basically terrible.
>Yeah, I know, that’s exactly what I said about Aquaman. If I use it three times, though, it officially becomes a running gag, and that’ll come in handy the next time someone asks about Hawkman....
>I know otherwise rational people who insist that he’s not just the best X-Man, but one of the best characters ever. And they stick by this statement, even when you remind them that Cyclops is not Wolverine and therefore does not fight ninjas, like, all the time. It’s weird.
>This is how most of my conversations about Cyclops go. You can see how this is a problem. But the thing about Cyclops is that even if I agree with all that and see where he’s coming from, he’s still not Spider-Man. That might not sound fair. I mean, there are plenty of comic book characters who aren’t Spider-Man, and at least seven or eight of them are well worth reading about.
>...that’s the image of Cyclops that I have in my head whenever he shows up: The guy who frowns at all the cool characters and tries to stop them from doing awesome things because the Professor says and we have a responsibility and you can’t just stab everyone and not now Jean I have to program the Danger Room. And he kind of has to be that way, because there has to be someone providing the core of the team so that everyone else can orbit around it and push away; Wolverine wouldn’t be Wolverine if he didn’t have Cyclops to rebel against. I’d just rather read about the rebelling than the guy who tells him hey stop that, it’s after 10 and we have a noise policy here.
What is with the "Cyclops sucks" meme that Marvel and braindead retards like these fags are trying to push?
He's a highly disciplined, no nonsense leader of his team because he feels the weight of responsibility on his shoulders for protecting the entirety of the mutant race. He takes what he does with deadly seriousness and his teammates find him rigid and hard headed for it
90s kids watched the cartoon where he was a stick in the mud and wolverine was the cool bad boy and it stuck and got into the movies and now everyone hates poor Scott.
But he can take it, he can carry that weight.

Cyclops was my favorite X-men, who wasn't a girl I had teen-lust for, when was a kid.
Why can't the show be as creative as Wander Over Yonder or as engaging as Gravity Falls? It's funny, but often leaves me feeling empty. It's like the animated equivalent to junkfood.
>>83511613
Gravity Falls stopped being engaging as soon as Alex shat the bed with season 2B
>>83511613
I think it suits me, it's just my style. I'm gonna shill it for a little while.
>>83511796
OP here.
I know it has a appeal, but I wish it wasn't so "lolsorandumb and quirkeh XD" all the goddamn time and actually could focus on one thing instead of spiraling into a million different directions
Why do nostalgiafags pretend this is any better than Michael Bay's version?
>>83511508
Because it isn't nearly as over the top as Bay's version is?
>>83511617
That makes it better, how? Just seems like a more limited movie to me.
It's a pretty faithful adaptation of several issues in volume one, with elements of the 80s cartoon sprinkled in.
>2016
>Batman doesn't have his own drone
Are they serious right now? There's no Bat-Drone?
>>83511446
It's called an RC plane, OP. A weaponized RC plane.
Why did everyone suddenly decide to call them drones?
>>83511446
Half of DC's writers are Bat-drones.
>>83511446
I'm pretty sure the Batwing can be piloted remotely.
I was playing metal gear solid v earlier and for some reason I was thinking about the similarities between his look and hellboy's. I mean they both have the one big red hand. They both have one eye. They both have a horn or horns that grow bigger the more demonic/violent they act. I just like the coincidences. Can you think of any more or any characters that are similar that weren't intended to be /co/
>>83511324
>They both have one eye.
I have always remembered Hellboy having both eyes
>>83513629
nigga, HB gave one eye to baba yaga
>Apocalypse turns Storm's hair white
What??!!! Are you serious? How does that even work?! She had white hair in the old trilogy. Did she meet Apocalypse off-screen as a kid too?
Seriously, how can Singer fuck up so bad? Did he forget how his universe works? Does he not care anymore? Is he autistic? Was he too busy raping the young male cast to care? Not even Marvel Studios is this bad.
>>83511194
>Is he autistic?
No OP, behavior like his is what we call "not autistic".
>>83511194
>Did he forget how his universe works
They fucked up the whole rebooting thing right away.
I think they need to actually reboot everything and do something closer to the books in terms of style and visual identity.
That is of course if they actually wanted to do something that makes sense and is original instead of shitting out movies for cheap bucks.
Obviously her hair turned white in the original timeline when she went HAM with her powers. Paco Lips just sped that up and unlocked her right away
Is this cartoon worth watching?
>>83511077
Local video store tried to sell me this for fifteen bucks because it's so rare apparently.
>>83511077
It'sTHE NUT-SHACK
>>83511077
no, no it's not at all.
I just found out about this deleted scene yesterday.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39pwDI7n1gQ
Anything else I might be missing?
>>83511052
That was pretty funny, why was it deleted?
>>83511052
I don't understand why they censored this, or the car crash scene in Procrastination, for that mattter. There are also rumors of even more cut scenes that haven't made it to YouTube.
>>83511166
I think the episode aired close to 9/11
What makes you drop a movie/show immediatly?
>annoying comic relief sidekick
Nothing, because I am not a raging autist, but I do tune off during musical numbers.
>>83511008
>based on a true story
I hate this pretentious shit.hail, grapes
Nothing. Although I do get pissed off when my favorite character(s) act OOC just to move the plot forward.
Tell me about Casey Jones! Why does he wear the mask?!
So pucks don't hit him in the face?
A LOT OF LOYALTY FOR A HIRED PUCK
>>83510726
He watches too much television.
> That is some remarkable improvement, Michael
Would Mike have passed the test (if only through theory-savviness at least) if hed' been allowed to actually take it in the simulator? Or was Prof. Knight dicking him around?
I really never got why Mike wasn't considered scary. Not only could a one-eyed gremlin easily be considered frightening by some, but it's a heck of a lot scarier looking than some of the other "scary" monsters.
>>83510356
Mike obviously had the know how to be a scarer but he never would have been able to get himself off the ground. The teacher was just remarking on how knowledgeable he is.
How come there are not courses for "Scarer Coach" or whatever it is that Mike ended up being
It seems like for every Scarer the is a Coach so i don't see why not except for the sake of the Movie

sweet, can't wait for Landis to show up
Hey guys!
New around here, this is my first thread, and I wanted to know what are you guys picking up from Image Comics. Most of their books like Saga, Sex Criminals, Deadly Class (my heart is still broken after the last issue,) etc are not THAT underrated. Are you guys reading anything really good besides these Image books everybody has, at least, heard about?
>>83510066
Everybody's heard about it, but not enough people actually read it. Invincible is the best cape book of the 21st century
Manifest Destiny
Autumnlands
What do you think is your favorite comic of all time?
