Even Superman goes down to a good left-hook.
I've been thinking about reading the comic books but it's such a big universe that honestly I don't know where to begin. I've always liked Jean Grey she's my favorite and I'd like to read more about her specifically but I think that in order to understand more her story I have to start with the beginings of X-men. Can you enlighten me, please? Or can you send me a link to a website that shows the time line of the comic?

you dont need to start at the begining, trust me i just did. Slim Summers just doesnt have the same charisma as Scott, fucking lol at Stan Lee's inability to remember names or character traits.
just skip to when claremont started writing if you want jean phoenix as i assume you do.
hey /co/ it's my birthday today. Can somebody storytime some Transmetropolitan please

Thank you guys for the bumps and the link
What did you guy's think of the show?
>>83519679
That it was fucking rad. I watched the last time they showed it on PBS for a thanksgiving marathon, holds up well except for the traveling fair arc imo.
I'm a book fanboy though so take my opinion with a nice helping of salt.

I had I think about 4 episodes on a DVD. I especially liked the hot porridge one. I haven't seen the whole thing though.
>Superman is about to step out of the shadows on "Supergirl."
>Warner Bros. TV has officially announced that the Man of Steel will appear on the first two episodes of "Supergirl's" second season. Casting is under way for the iconic role.
Where were you when Johns took down the embargo
http://www.comicbookresources.com/article/superman-to-appear-on-supergirl-casting-underway
I haven't caught up on Supergirl but
> At the end of the show's first season, a Kryptonian pod crash-landed on Earth, so it's a reasonable guess that Superman's role might involve that.
Fucking Mon-El coming too? get H Y P E
Which Superman?
Tom Welling or Man of Murder?
Thank you based Johns.
But he probably didn't take down the embargo entirely. It's just easier to argue for a character important to a franchise to show up a few times. Like when he got Superman and WW on BATB.
Was Arno Stark a good idea?

Well, the year 2020 is coming up, so, y'know...

In the interest of escaping DCfriend shitposting, can we just have a good old fashioned positive Marvel thread?
There are so many things I'm hype for right now and I'm sick of all the negativity getting spewed.
>Captain America being Hydra has blown up WORLDWIDE. Seriously, I've never seen a comic get people this excited, and I've heard it's selling out everywhere.
>Civil War 2 in full swing with a real shocker alreadyRIP Shulk
>Black Panther's sales are through the roof. Not only might he just be the best selling Black superhero ever, but he's outselling EVERY OTHER COMIC. That's INSANE.
>We're getting the first rumblings of Captain Marvel's movie
>Tons of new Netflix shows announced, including fucking PUNISHER and MOON KNIGHT
>Marvel Now! on it's way. There's no info on it but there's probably going to be a whole slate of new books.
What are you the most hype about coming up for Marvel? What are you watching now? Reading?
>>83540657
>being positive for once is "shilling"
fuck off
Nobody?

not with that attitude
How does /co/ feel about Cartoon Hangover?

The is the best description.
If Venture had signed Killinger's contract and officially went full supervillain, would Killinger have put him on the new Council of 13?
>>83517820
Killinger didn't really choose who ended up there. He simply helped guide them to it.
I wish they would give us a "what-if" style special where we could see super-villain Rusty in full action.
>>83517820
I still think Killinger was there to more or less give Rusty a reality check of sorts. But I could see Rusty on the council if he kept up the villainy.
You must now worship the Spongebob

what is the plot behinf this?
hi /co/. I recently got into reading comic books and was hoping you can help me pick what to buy. I picked up gwenpool on a whim and enjoyed it.
What should I get if I want to read about the green lanterns and iron man?
Are there any other titles you can recommend (they don't have to be about superheroes) that you would call seminal to the medium?
I know I'm asking a lot, I just feel a bit overwhelmed with the selection at my local store.

>I picked up gwenpool on a whim and enjoyed it
this is not a place for you. We don't like your Kind here.
>>83517025
emerald twilight is a must for GL
also read some vertigo comics(its a DC imprint)
sandman, swamp thing,hellblazer etc etc
Geoff Johns writes the best Green Lantern. Check out the storytime that's up with Green Lantern and Green Arrow for a taste of old GL if you want it, shit's good.
I got no idea about Iron Man sorry.
