One day, I was in Westminster in London—this was after we had introduced the character—and I was sitting in a sandwich bar. All of a sudden, up the stairs came John Constantine. He was wearing the trenchcoat, a short cut—he looked—no, he didn't even look exactly like Sting. He looked exactly like John Constantine. He looked at me, stared me straight in the eyes, smiled, nodded almost conspiratorially, and then just walked off around the corner to the other part of the snack bar.
I sat there and thought, should I go around that corner and see if he is really there, or should I just eat my sandwich and leave? I opted for the latter; I thought it was the safest. I'm not making any claims to anything. I'm just saying that it happened. Strange little story.

Must be great being a spot-on cosplayer, you could mess with these drug-addled loons to no end.
>>83640028
This is supposed to be from another time Allan Moore met Constantine.

Is the Gaymin known for consuming lots of the drugs?

Damnit, Avatar, it's gotten worse. Last evening the Equalists got hold of over a dozen young benders and they've all had their bending taken away.
We're out of options, Avatar, so why are you still beating around the bush with this? You have to rape Amon, before he hurts anyone else. It's your duty!
>>83639558
Uh... I'm Amon! I admit it! This is what I look like under the mask! You'll never stop me, Avatar, bwahaha! (That's what he says, right?)

Did the entire Civil War, Initiative and every related series prove Tony was indeed wrong?
Everything that he preached proved to be a bad idea, it made it easier for people to fall prey to villains and did nothing but hinder the heroes people count on to protect them.
Regardless of what the pro-registration side preached, everything the anti-registration side expressed concern over ultimately happened. The Skrulls, Norman Osborn, and so on.
>>83638643
Marvel's entire history proves Civil War wrong. That's the problem. The pro-reg side might have the more sensible argument... if this was the real world. But it's not. It's a world where governments are obnoxious at best, outright evil at worst, and should not be trusted with managing the people who are actually trying to do the right thing. There's a reason most of the writers ended up writing pro-regs as Nazis; from the point of view of the Marvel Universe there is no way their side was the right one, so clearly they were the villains of the piece.
>>83638643
Except Iron Man solo proved all the registration files were completely secure and never were used against the heroes. Norman couldn't do shit with it. And the only thing OMD/OMIT proved was that Parker is a complete retard.
anti-reg side never predicted the Skrulls either.
>>83639044
>anti-reg side never predicted the Skrulls either.
The Skrulls were just the ones to take advantage of it. The network and framework set up by the SHRA made it easy for anybody who was able to infiltrate and take advantage of it.
Hey /co/. I'm trying to get into Superman and bought the Kingdom Come tpb recently, and I fucking loved it, particular toward the end.

Alan Moore right before Watchmen, in Miracle Man, we see Alan Moore tackle many ideas he later incorporated into other works, most notably Dr. Manhattan. Marvel Man (later remained Miracle Man) is the UK equivalent to Captain Marvel/Shazam.
I'll be story timing the first issue, plus some of the second issue as well to close out the big reveal at the end of issue 1.
Marvel bought the rights to this series, and it will be interesting to see whether or not they ever get around to doing something with the property.
If you could, let me know if you're reading. That's all I ask.

From Wikipedia's article on Captain Marvel:
In the 1950s, a small British publisher, L. Miller and Son, published a number of black-and-white reprints of American comic books, including the Captain Marvel series. With the outcome of the National v. Fawcett lawsuit, L. Miller and Son found their supply of Captain Marvel material abruptly cut off. They requested the help of a British comic writer, Mick Anglo, who created a thinly-disguised version of the superhero called Marvelman. Captain Marvel, Jr., was adapted to create Young Marvelman, while Mary Marvel had her gender changed to create the male Kid Marvelman. The magic word "Shazam!" was replaced with "Kimota" ("Atomik" spelled backwards). The new characters took over the numbering of the original Captain Marvel's United Kingdom series with issue number #25.
Marvelman ceased publication in 1963, but was revived in 1982 by writer Alan Moore in the pages of Warrior Magazine. Beginning in 1985, Moore's black-and-white serialized adventures were reprinted in color by Eclipse Comics under the new title Miracleman (as Marvel Comics objected to the use of "Marvel" in the title), and continued publication in the United States after Warrior's demise. Within the metatextual story line of the comic series itself, it was noted that Marvelman's creation was based upon Captain Marvel comics, by both Alan Moore and later Marvelman/Miracleman writer Neil Gaiman. In 2009, Marvel Comics obtained the rights to the original 1950s Marvelman characters and stories, obtaining the rights to the 1980s version and those reprints in 2013.

So why did she need to be in the movie? What purpose did she serve?
>>83638360
if only the characters who serve purposes were in things, things would be pretty damned empty. stories should just seem like you recorded a real thing that happened, which happened to go pretty interestingly this time instead of boringly

Kids Next door doesn't really need a reboot or to come back . It was good the way it ended .
