are there any comics with as much lost potential as dumbing of age?
this comic could be really damn good. there's a lot of good comic layouts, a lot of the characters and motivations are shown off well, and there's plenty of decent setup for future plots.
But it's blown so badly with terrible attempts at over-dramatizing, fucking up the most basic of idioms, trying to paint all christians or parents as inherently evil, or pandering.
This page, for example, is a simple edit, removing the last two panels of the page.

I liked Shortpacked when it just about dumb toy store shit, before the drama tag got pulled forever.
That's partially why Dumbing of Age threads keep popping up.
We see the potential, but it's ruined by Willis having no idea what he's doing.
He claims to be avoiding "Hallmark Channel" dramatics, but he's just going full Lifetime Channel instead.
I don't think this comic has potential, and I don't think the characters are good. Every single page you people go "this is how this page should have been" based off of some imagined version of these characters that doesn't actually exist. They've always been shit and always will be
>He believed that if you could do good things for other people, you had a moral obligation to do those things. That's what's at stake here. Not choice! Responsibility.
>When you can do the things I can, but you don't, and then the bad things happen, they happen because of you.
What's with all the pussy footing around "With great power comes great responsibility?" Is it because the Raimi movies did it first?
>>84209143
It would have been an atrocity for the first use of the great responsibility line in the MCU to have been in Civil War, save that for the solo. Now, ASM was just fucking up, because that whole series was a mistake.
>>84209143
>>84209143
Fuck off. The speech in Civil War was great. He also should say it in his solo series, motherfucker.
It's funny how /co/ lambasted ASM for it, but praised CW for the same.
Who did you pretend to be as a kid when you'd played outside?

Future Trunks
Shredder or any bad guy really

It varied lots of the time Batman, sometimes James Bond (was very rare), we did Mortal Kombat on the playground I was always Sub-Zero. I think the most interesting thing we played was Half-Life. My fondest thing we played was Resident Evil 4, I was the Merchant.
Finished reading Gotham Central, pretty good, wish we got more of it.
Other than Montoya, Sawyer and Corrigan, does the rest of the cast ever show up in any stories after this?
>>84208784
One thing I never understood was why exactly Montoya beating up Corrigan in a bar made him "untouchable" by the MCU and Internal Affairs even though they had a mountain of evidence against him. All the beating would do is render his confession to selling a bullet from a crime scene on eBay inadmissible, wouldn't affect anything else, especially since Montoya would have nothing to do with it.

There was an anon trying to make something similar

I want one with the bumpers actually included, each week could be devoted to a specific year of programming too.
Why only one season?

I just finished issue 13 of Justice League 3000. Should I get 3001? I heard there were issues with the relaunch where the writing took a hit
Yeah. They just didn't care when they worked on 3001.
It started off ok but first the cast was too big and then it was too small and it just didn't seem as good after the first few issues
>>84208125
The ramifications of the final issue of 3001may be felt in one or some of the Rebirth titles later this year.
So I just watched this on Netflix and it was pretty good, certainly not the best thing but entertaining enough. While looking for more info i learned there was a comic too, or the show is based on a comic, anyone know of it?
...sealab 2021?
Subnautica?
That looks like Miles from Tomorrowland except with black people underwater with a pet seahorse instead of white people in space with a pet ostrich.
Hey /co/ let's play a game called "Save that character!" It is pretty simple. Anon post any character(active or not ) and other Anons post things like what writer and Artist they would like to see get a hold of that character or a character arc they wouldn't mind reading through. Let's start things off with a character that has potential that has never been utilized. Miles Morales.
Robbie Thompson. I like most of his spider stuff. Current artist is fine.
>>84207849
Miles Morales doesn't have any potential, he's a total blank state, his only personality trait is that "he wants to good"
>>84207849
What are the must-reads of Daredevil?
That issue where he fought Namor (and that's only because Wally Wood drew it)
Everything by Miller
Daredevil: Yellow
Bendis' run is meant to be good
Waid's stuff (stop after the Ikari arc)
I'm still downloading vol 3 but have vol 1 already.
>>84207883
>That issue where he fought Namor
Where he tries to sue the human race?
I still have't looked up what issues are Miller's and Bendis and I started wih volume 3 past the Ikai and sons of serpent arcs and wanted to look what I've missed.
Gene Colan's run
I, the evil math magician shall capture all the children and force them to do homework forever!
Why would Dexter be against that? Doesn't he love maths and stuff like that?
>>84207755
He can't work on the stuff down in his lab if he's too busy doing homework.
Dexter, shit like this is why you need to join the KND. With all your tech, you could skyrocket our defenses from the adults and stop shit like this from happening every week.
At least send us back a response this week rather than ignore all of our recruitment letters we've been sending.
How can Sam even compete
