I'm confused, in the Marvel Now(er) Promo, Riri was dressed as War Machine, implying that she was going to be the new War Machine. But now she's going to be the new Iron Man?
Is this a sudden change (like when they changed Homer's name)? Did they change the idea to get more controversy and news?
>>84374342
She's not exactly dressed as war machine
Why can't she be both War Machine AND Iron Man, shitlord?
>>84374342
Then truth is that she WAS going to be War Machine, because Bendis thoutgh that Rhodey would die on the Civil War movie - which is also the reason for killing him.
So now they are trying to pull a Whor with her.
>Kiersey Clemons ("Dope") has reportedly been confirmed in the role of Iris West in Rick Famuyiwa's THE FLASH, which also stars Ezra Miller as Barry Allen and Ray Fisher as Cyborg. Clemons will also make an appearance in Zack Snyder's JUSTICE LEAGUE.
>Barry will always like chocolate now
Yeeeees
Previously leaked character breakdowns.
>IRIS WEST I Barry Allen's best friend. Christiane Amanpour’s brains and Carrie Bradshaw’s style. An overcaffinated doe. A reporter at The Central City Citizen.
>EOBARD THAWNE I Central City’s Bill Gates. The smartest man in the room. The CEO of Thawne Laboratories. He suffers from advanced degenerative and is confined to a wheelchair.
>FRED CHYRE I A gruff detective who first meets Barry at the scene of a crime. Now they’re colleagues and the closest thing Barry has to a friend. Chryre is investigating the unusual death of someone at Thawne Laboratories.
>LEN SNART I An ex-military who turns out to be working as an enforcer for Thawne.
>JAY GARRICK I A former Central City University professor who was fired for fringe science, and was working on the Speed Force program. Cameo role.
NIGGER WALLY AGAIN, PLEASE STOP DC

>>84374194
Movie isn't too bad, sort of a guilty pleasure movie.
Don't know about the rest of the movie.

>Don't know about the rest of the **media.
>>84374231
There's only what, the books, tv series, and movie right?
Kek, apparently Mike Deodato used a tumblr artist's Kate Bishop design in his promo art, because he thought it was an official image.
That's it, I'm gonna fly to US, blow few dicks and get comfy job at Marvel where I'll copy/paste fuck out of fanart.
>>84374187
It may be her new design, who knows ?

How can Thor and the Norse Gods go into heaven and hell when they aren't Gods but actually Space Aliens?
How can Space Aliens travel freely into the spirit realm when their "magic" is just science?
And if the Norse Gods are just Aliens with high tech gear, why can't Reed Richards, Dr Doom, or Tony Stark hack their stuff? I mean, Reed Richards is literally the smartest man in existence. You telling me he can't hack Thor's hammer?
I remember in Mighty Avengers, Hank Pym managed to disable Loki with the "magic = energy = science, I'm good at science so gg" logic. but I only read so much of that, so maybe Loki was faking or some shit.
>>84373641
>How can Thor and the Norse Gods go into heaven and hell when they aren't Gods but actually Space Aliens?
They're Gods in the comics, not space aliens. And even if they were just space aliens, Mjolnir and the Bifrost can create a portal to anywhere. There's no reason that wouldn't include heaven and hell realms.
>How can Space Aliens travel freely into the spirit realm when their "magic" is just science?
Same way Reed Richards can build a machine that lets you enter the spirit realm. All the magical realms are still just other realms. Pretty much anything that magic can do, someone as smart as Reed could build a machine to replicate. I mean, cosmic cubes are created through science and they're basically wishing boxes that'll warp reality to your whims. Also their magic isn't just science. They use magic and science interchangeably to the point that they're essentially one and the same. Treating magic as if it were just another branch of science because that's how advanced they are.
>And if the Norse Gods are just Aliens with high tech gear, why can't Reed Richards, Dr Doom, or Tony Stark hack their stuff?
Again, the norse gods aren't aliens (well, they are in a sense, but they're still gods). That's only the case in the movie, and since you're bringing up Reed and Doom, you're clearly not talking about the movies. And either way, there's a magical enchantment on both the movie and comic mjolnir. Given enough time and dedication, Reed could maybe figure out how to "hack" it, but it wouldn't be worth the effort.
>>84373824
>And either way, there's a magical enchantment on both the movie
No there isn't.
Why does Superman have a cape? He can fly without it and bullets bounce off him so it's not for protection. I read his costume was designed to emulate the circus strongmen of the 20s and 30s, like the tights and red undies, but how does a cape fit into that?
>>84373523
He can use it to protect other people.
>>84373544
Couldn't he just use his own body for that? Is the cape bulletproof too?
Whos going to pay for all that shit?
So is this supposed to be the first time Clark's ever experienced pain or something?
He didn't have this kind of reaction to anything Zod did to him in Man of Steel.
>I like memeing and nitpicking
It was his first time exposed to kryptonite and being depowered and beaten. Obviously.
>>84373456
>Man of Steel
Throwing two bricks together
>This scene
Throwing a brick at an egg
>>84373456
The fight with Zod was pointless and dumb and should have ended way sooner, yes.
I didn't think we needed to question this.
Is she ever going to put on the costume again? I guess the bubblegum hair is a bit too much.
>>84373279
Maybe she'll get raped into it
That would be an interesting read
>>84373279
Jessica works much better as a character who has ditched the costume.
Shittest of shit characters
>I WISH MARVEL MADE GOOD COMICS
>>84373074
I wish Snyder never made Man of Steel
>>84373074
They already did. Doesn't mean they'll make them in the future.
>>84373126
Michael Bay did
So, now that the dust has settled, what did you think of Captain America: Civil War?
Didn't see it.
>>84372975
It was pretty good. Some of the later dialogue filled bits were a touch ham fisted, and we'll the fight at the end turned out the opposite of any reasonable conclusion, but c'mon everybody wants to see the heroes fight. The fight scenes were fantastic, the best I think we've had seen any of the comic book movies, or maybe movies in general.
It was great.
So I was watching this documentary a few months ago on the history of comic books on youtube, and Neal Adams, who's my favourite comic book artist of all time, talked about how comic books were attacked as being communist propaganda by Frederic Wertham and the US Senate and the House Un-American Activities Commitee.
Wertham wrote a book called "Seduction Of The Innocent"
I'm trying to find the documentary but I can't. But in it Neal goes "I don't understand- how can you associated comic books with communism?" And I'm wondering the same thing.
Stan Lee is also in the documentary talking about how it almost destroyed the comic book industry, and it resulted in the creation of the Comics Code Authority (which is like the Hays Code)
It has a connection to Senator McCarthy of the famous HUAC Communist Red Scare witchhunt- but I can't find what that is.
>>84372523
Because paranoia about communism. It's like how /pol/ says that cartoons and games are "liberal propaganda".
>>84372523
The same way moral panics always start. Some asshole had a book to sell managed to convince some busybodies he knew what he was talking about and it snowballed from there.
If it's any comfort and the Senate eventually decided there was no justification for government censorship but by that time the CCA was already in place
>>84372523
I thought it was because of Wonder Woman's lesbian bondage and Batman screwing Robin?Nice work, DC. You deserve being second biggest company.
He's a cute.
