I really like the idea that Bendis thought that he was gonna die in the movie so he pushed that idea.
With everyone hyping me up to read this,i have to say i'm disapointed. I dont get what's so good about it.
It's more of a good puzzle than a good issue, though it is also a good issue.
The Just is my favorite from Multiversity though
>>84570358
I thought all of multiversity was pretty great, though The Just and S.O.S were the only ones that really resonated with me. I guess i became exhausted by the end of it.

>The Just and S.O.S
I thought those were two of the worst
it's a shame Darwyn Cooke turned down S.O.S. would've been a huge improvement over Sprouse

You were the normal kid. You had a great childhood. You grew up to be a decent adult
>Cartoon Network kid
You were the weird kid. Grew up to be a weeb. You have a shitty life as an adult
>Disney Channel kid
You were a confused child. Most likely grew up to be bi-sexual or full gay
>Kids WB kid
The loud obnixious kid. Everybody hated your guts because you thought you were the shit. You're still an obnixious shit today and people still hate you
>Fox Kids kid
You were the loner kid. Didn't have many friends. You grew up to be a hipster fag and hate most thing popular
>PBS kid
You were the poor kid. Didn't have much but still had a decent childhood. You grew up to be a decent adult
This is accurate as fuck right /co/?

This was better than final crisis.
Fight me.
I dont fight people with reading disabilities
I didn't think Infinite Crisis is bad but it isn't really good either. It didn't really do anything interesting or memorable aside from asking "What if the Justice League didn't trust each other during an event" which could've been done just fine in a smaller event. The meta angle was alright I guess.
Final Crisis was so crazy the whole thing was interesting.
>>84569910
I liked it. Have never read Final Crisis.
Is the creepiness why Mattie/Spider-Woman III wasn't well received? I was introduced to her through Alias, heard about her tragic death, and it inspired me to start collecting her stuff. A hero that has a short stint, some dark times, and then a tragic death that (til now, fucking Silk) is something rare in Marvel.
But only after reading the first actual issue have I noticed something. There isn't a single appearance of hers that isn't somehow sexual or creepy in some way.
>Introduced in Spidey, looks 12, and later is wearing a leotard and kisses him.
>At the end of her own first issue, she is bent over, ass drawn defined and sticking out, grinning cheekily at the reader.
>In Alias, she is 'like Spider-man with tiny tits', and is basically playing whore and living drug to her criminal 'boyfriend'.
>??? Haven't read Loners yet.
>When she dies, it's died spread eagle and 'sacrificial virgin' style on an alter.
The creep factor is just impressive. The character is supposed to be, what, 13-15 across all her appearances til her death? Who approved some of this?
I remember reading Mattie Franklin's first appearances as they were coming out, and I don't remember her being that young. I always thought she was like 15 or 16. Maybe I just don't remember it specifically since that was 18 years ago, and having only read the issues once in the comic book shop, but she didn't get into the creepy stuff you are talking about until the Alias series.
I'm actually trying to collect her entire run of appearances, but Amazing Spider-Man Volume 2 (1999) giving me problems. The single issues, especially #1, are too expensive to pick up. I need #1-6 and #14.
Was there/what is a trade that collects them?
What happened in Silk?
Mattie's death is one of the huge reasons I haven't seriously tried to come back to Spider-Man after OMD/OMIT. It was just so incredibly crappy.

If Jake and Finn were raised together then when did Jake go through his criminal phase and how did Finn not know about it? Did Jake abandon Finn for a period of time? Post theories !
>>84569360
Think about it. Jake was a grown adult sometime around 6-8 months. He had a weenie of a brother his own age, along with this adopted baby brother who, despite being MONTHS old, is still a goddamn baby
of course he's going to go sow his wild oats, get into some trouble. be a MAN dog.
Every so often he might feel bad, drop back in on his folks.. now it's been fucking.. 18 months and the kid is still a baby! the fuck is WRONG with humans? Is this why they went extinct?
only when the kid's able to actually talk and climb and sing about punching buns does Jake finally realize this is is f'real little brother and he should start spending more time with him. That could have taken like 3 years.
I think the writers might not know but I'll answer legitimately OP.
Since Jake seems to age like twice as fast as Finn does, I always thought that Finn was just growing up with their parents at their house while Jake was out doing his hood rat shit. Joshua and Margaret either didn't know about it or elected to not tell Finn. When they died it seems Jake didn't tell Finn either for probably the same reasons.
I really think that by the time their parents were dead and Finn and Jake were living at the treehouse Jake was done with stealing shit. That really seems like something he only did as an asshole teen and I can't see him doing shit like that while he has a ten or so year old brother all alone at his house.
Goddammit, I want an episode about Finn and Jake's backstory so badly but maybe I should be glad we haven't gotten one since there's a chance the writers would ruin it. Such an interesting period though.
>>84569560
we got jake's origin story, i don't think anyone saw that coming. i think it's possible we might get the adventures of college-age jake and toddler finn
just once though i would like the show to acknowledge the blithering idiocy of the way they conceive age.
Have you ever had a animated show or movie that you had an ungodly hate for? If so, what was it?
>>84569070
Your favorite show.
>>84569070
I once animated a cartoon for my school's broadcasting news channel during highschool and everyone thought I was some top shit Flash animator. My math teacher was so impressed that he stopped the entire class just to show everyone. It was flattering but I hated the cartoon because it was the first time I ever did anything in Flash, the pacing was bad, and I drew it with a mouse because the drawing tablet they gave me was garbage. I'll never show anyone that cartoon and I'm embarrassed by entire school watched it but at least they seemed to like it so that helps with the pain.

What does /co/ think of this underrated show?
Also, general superhero cartoons thread.
>>84568664
Loved this show, still do. It has its flaws, but still holds up fir the most part. Emma Frost had a well done character arc, and Cyclops was enjoyable since the 90s version. Also touched on more villains than other shows did; the Mojo episodes surprised me the first viewing.
>>84568664
It was alright. The 90's cartoon was great, but I remember the action in this series being pretty passable. A good range of the xmen characters were shown too, which was nice
