>Two heroes of 1970s television will unite next year in a crossover from Dynamite Entertainment.
>As announced in The New York Times, the Bionic Woman will meet Wonder Woman '77, who stars in a DC Comics digital-first series based on the beloved Lynda Carter TV show.
>Writer and historian Andy Mangels will pen the miniseries; no artist was mentioned.
>"Wonder Woman" and "The Bionic Woman" shared the airwaves for a while, with the former airing from 1975 to 1979, and the latter from 1976 to 1978.
>A spinoff from the popular "Six Million Dollar Man," "The Bionic Woman" starred Lindsay Wagner as Jaime Sommers, a professional tennis player who was critically injured in a skydiving accident. To save her life, she was given cybernetic implants that granted her superhuman strength, speed and hearing. She then became an agent for the Office of Scientific Information, going on spy missions while working undercover as a school teacher.
>Dynamite, which also has the "Six Million Dollar Man" license, began publishing a "Bionic Woman" comic in 2012.
>"Wonder Woman," of course, featured Carter in her iconic role as the DC superheroine, who fought injustice first during World War II and then, beginning with Season 2, in the modern era.
Cool

Yeah, /co/ isn't going to give a fuck about this, these are way before /co/s time.
>>84584935
Probably, but it's been a dream crossover for a long time for people who were there back then. I actually expected this would have happened if WW '77 did well, considering the crossovers Batman '66 makes.
Also, it's on Dynamite, so maybe a crossover with Xena later on could happen?
>/co/ finger, /co/ finger, /co/ finger, where are you?

>>84584678
The comments in these kind of videos are so fucking weird.
>>84584678
I know it's said time and time again, but this whole finger family scam thing blows my mind.
Like, how is mass producing these and botting/paying 3rd worlders for views THAT profitable that they'd dump truckloads of cash getting these fucking things to like a hundred million views?
I just don't get it man.
Aren't these videos randomly generated?
Someone just pointed out that this lineup is basically the founding Avengers, the next generation.
Iron Man = Iron Doom
Thor = FosterThor
Wasp = NuWasp
Pym = Vision (Pym's grandson)
Hulk = Hercules (replaced Hulk in his comic for a stretch)
And Captain America is usually considered a founding Avenger even though he didn't join until issue 4.
I dunno, I think it's moderately clever.
>>84588453
Yeah, it's a decent roster and Del Mundo on art has me rock hard. Let's see if Waid brings his a-game though.
That said, why the fuck does this get Del Mundo while Champions is stuck with Ramos?
>>84588453
Whoa, that's deep.
Who is the current Wasp, not Janet I take it?
>>84588453
Dang. That's pretty neat, to be honest.
>>84588562
Pym's daughter, Nadia. From his first marriage.
Basically not!Hope. She's... hispanic?
>bodyguard
>driver
>has a robotic arm
>8/10 looks
>DEM LEGS!
Why hasn't Lex hit that yet?
>>84584442
Because she is not a spy robot. Only spy robots have vaginas.
>>84584464
Yes, Lex sure loves dat robot pussy.
>>84584464
still human tho
have a 10/10 ass
First, it must be said that Iron Man has gone full villain before in "The Crossing". However, that story blew as did the subsequent teen Tony arc.
Second, Iron Man was poised to be an antagonist and emotional mess during the "Civil War" period and caps death. And CW2 also has him acting off his emotions and making poor choices, albeit nowhere near as perverse as cloning Thor or conscripting super villains. But, I think some kind of variant of the Exile's story with Iron Doom in the 616-8 would be the logical conclusion of what's constantly shaped but never defined.
Think "Emerald Dawn"/ "Zero Hour". We already know from the Civil Wars, and the Illuminati, that Stark has absolutely no issue with the ends justifying the means. So imagine in the aftermath of Civil War II that Tony finally says enough is enough and that he alone is the cure for all the world's problems.
I know this is dangerously close to the Maker's fall, but it would be way more important. And if done right, it could be way more brutal and novel since it is all by his volition, and not due to manipulation magic. And if you don't mind the Maker comparison (or hell just have Maker influence him when describing how fast he altered his worlds society/technology/economy. He just needs a great name or adjective, better then Infamous of Irredeemable.
This won't happen as long as the movies are coming out
Maybe after Avengers 3.2 ends
>>84584161
I used the Heroes Reborn armor as it is my favorite, and it's always had a more cold and villainous look IMO. Fucking love when it's drawn well. Loved those fucking duel Proton Cannons during the cross over (I think if was the Heralds of Galactus arc)

>But, I think some kind of variant of the Exile's story with Iron Doom in the 616-8 would be the logical conclusion of what's constantly shaped but never defined.
You clearly haven't been keeping up.

>Introducing America Vasquez, the star of Image Comics' All-America Comix, a series set for launch in 2017. Created by Man of Action Entertainment's Joe Casey and artist Nick Dragotta, America is ready to kick ass, take names and discover what lies behind the mysteries of existence itself. So, you know, nothing too big.
>The promo text for the new comic book sets up the tone for what's to come: "You wanted it! You got it! She is a hero for our time — and the time is NOW! A superpowered champion of the oppressed, AMERICA VASQUEZ is the one you've been waiting for! And this may be her greatest adventure of all. When she is confronted with the hidden secrets of the universe, you won't believe the cosmic truth she uncovers! Issue #1 hits — and we do mean HITS — in 2017 from Image Comics!"
>Casey is an old hand when it comes to this level of cosmic comic book overload — in addition to runs on DC Entertainment's Superman and Marvel's Uncanny X-Men, his resume includes Catalyst Comix and Captain Victory and the Galactic Rangers, both distillations of 1970s and '80s ambitious grandeur with a contemporary swagger.
>If this new character seems somewhat familiar, there's a reason for that; she bears a resemblance to Miss America Chavez, a character Casey and Dragotta created for Marvel Entertainment in 2011 for the Vengeance comic book series. Miss America Chavez went on to appear in Marvel's Young Avengers and Ultimates series but, despite a fervent fan following, has never been awarded a series of her own.

I really like her. Is the writer any good? I don't follow comics enough to know each writer.
>>84584119
>despite a fervent fan following, has never been awarded a series of her own.
the shade.
lol at implication Casey's America Chavez is the person everyone likes and Gillen didn't just take a cool looking blank slate.
most importantly does she wear underwear
Literally anti Trump bait garbage.
>hurrr we made our American symbol a Mexican! Take THAT Trump!
Why Sandman never does this in the main continuity? Killing Peter looks pretty easy.
>>84584093
Because Sandman isn't a murderer. Hell he reformed and became part of Silver Sable's mercenaries for awhile.
>>84584093
Because that Sandman was only responding to the brutality of zombie Spider-Man (which he thought was normal Spider-Man).

Are there any comic books or cartoons out there that you watched and felt like you shouldn't have? Like you saw something foridden?

No official comics or cartoons, but there's an endless amount of fanart that's pretty fucking grotesque.

What did you think of it, /co/? Was it better or worse than The Winter Soldier? Where would you rank it in the MCU?
>>84583289
better and darker than WS
WS is more realistic
>Avengers
>Winter Soldier
>Civil War
Power Gap
>Who gives a shit
>>84583289
Winter Soldier is better by far because it's actually a Captain America movie that develops his character and supporting cast.
Civil War was a "let's compete with DC even though we don't need to" cashgrab with no lasting outcome.
Luke Cage hype?
>>84583151
Well the comics are trash hopefully this connects to the MCU
>>84583151
okay
>>84583151
I think it won't be able to do something entertaining alone.
Why did they have to kill the purple man anyway ?
Let's hope only the half of the serie will be boring.
Why is Terra not allowed to be part of the team?
Why does Terra not have a nose?
>>84583133
Considering how TTGo is I think its a good thing that she is not on the team.
>>84583133

Is Valiant good? Every once in a while I see people saying that it's better than the big two, but is it? It's got that shitty writer from GL doing a book so it can't be that good, can it?
Some of it is, some of it isn't. What a shocker.
>>84583100
I mean the big 2 have lots of shitty writers.
>>84583100
Venditti rules at Valiant, surprisingly enough.
