I remember when I heard about the Disney buyout of Marvel, I thought it would lead to an uptick in the quality of Marvel's cartoons
So I guess this thread should be about the times you thought something was going to happen regarding comics and cartoons and were WRONG
>>84608130
That isn't really Disney fault as it Marvel Entertainment fault.
>>84608206
Not directing blame, just feeling disappointment
>>84608130
I once thought "DC's cinematic universe has to be at least decent. They'd never have a repeat of Green Lantern."
>MoS
>BvS
I stand corrected. If Suicide Squad is a dud as well, I am not wasting anymore money on anything DC related that isn't comic book or Animation.

I love it
>No Will Smith Rap
That's the real crime here.
>>84608126
You'll love it until you watch it.

I'd almost forgotten he was in the movie, thanks a lot

Get ready for more torture
they really want that merchandise money
>>84608118
Not surprising, this shit is cheap as fuck to make. There's a reason Johnny Test lasted 6 seasons.
The doctor who cartoon by nelvana wouldve been fucking awsome. The grundgy texture and intricate technological detail was purely beautiful. Lets have an unproduced cartoon tread.
Didn't the allocated funds and staff then just make Inspector Gadget?
>>84607677
I dont know. I thought at this time doctor who was canceled, and they were gonna bring it back in cartoon form in the 90s. And wasnt inspector gadget from DICk?
Is Avatar: The Last Airbender one of the best western animated shows of all time?
>>84607579
>shitty wannabe anime
>good
Pick one.
Yes.
Great thread, OP.
Everyone go home.
>>84607579
Yeah, I mean it's not perfect. But it's flaws are so outweighed it doesn't really matter. It pretty much is the best cartoon the modern west has done, anyways. Has a good narrative, well-developed characters, good action scenes and comedy, and some fresh ideas in a world where action shows have become boring as fuck.
Are you ready, /co/?
>>84607574
Who am I supposed to root for here?
>>84607594
The Explosion of Energy.
>>84607574
Why would I give a fuck about Marvel comics?

betty is literally married to a man she has twins with
shes not a lesbian just a rad fem
>>84607527
Now post actual lesbians of the cartoon world.

But Patty has a crush on 'Chuck'.
Here are the previews for the three Transformers comics that are coming out next week.
Starting with ex-RiD #55.
Why is Bone so fucking good?`How is Jeff Smith's other work?
>>84607163
>Why is Bone so fucking good?
Smith started as an animator for Disney. This comic is basically "generic Disney fantasy cartoon in comic form". He just had the perfect skills and experience to do something like that.
>How is Jeff Smith's other work?
Kind of shit. He was one of those guys who could basically only do one thing. Maybe the biggest one trick pony in comics history.
>>84607455
rasl is good though
>>84607505
that and Monster Society of Evil are both good, Tuki was woefully underwhelming though
Where do you guys think Rolf was from?
Candidates: Bulgaria, Romania, Azerbaijan, Slovakia, Basque country, Albania, Latvia, Turkmenistan
New Jersey

Based on all the talk about goats I always assumed some vaguely middle eastern country.
Hey /co/, I tried asking this on /v/ but they're beings cucks, but my question has relevance here too so I'll ask here.
Today I finished the Wolf Among Us video game based upon the Fables comic series by Vertigo and I for some reason feel incredibly depressed. I attribute this to the fact that I mistakenly did some research on the comics before finishing episode 2 of the game and found out about the relationship that forms between Snow and Bigby, but didn't know that it transpires quite late in the story (which I found out through more research after finishing) and expected to see the 2 characters fall in love by the end of the game. Sadly this didn't happen. It's the only explanation for what I'm experiencing that I can come up with.
What do I do to get over this cripling depression? Should I read the Fables series, even though I very highly believe that by the end I'll be so depresed I'll want to kill myself.
I looked at the final story with Snow and Bigby today, where all there family is together, and it's made me feel absolutely terrible. I just know that with context and the fact that it's the end, if I do finish the comics and see it again I'll be shattered.
So if you recommend I read them, do I need to buy hard copies or should I read them online for free? What website do I use?
Okay so.
You read the ending first, and that depressed you, so you wanna know if you should read the rest.
Probably not. I mean Fables is a good book, especially at the beginning, despite people's issues with Willingham having an exile who dreams of retaking his homeland admire Israel, but if its got you this down it might not be for you?
>>84607017
>Should I read the Fables series, even though I very highly believe that by the end I'll be so depresed I'll want to kill myself.
Yes, it's a win-win situation.
>>84607032
I let it all out and I was seriously over reacting. I do feel better now. I think it's just my usual depression.
>>84607167
Exactly, win-win

Why does Marvel hate nostalgia fans?

Because most of them are White Cis-het males
They want the Robot Chicken audience
