Nah. It's just three yoyos.
Just started reading this. I love it. Waid never dissapoints.
>inb4/pol/and/tv/fagsscream"NOT MUH"
Weakest Avengers book right now.
gonna start storytiming or just gonna talk about it?
"I'm a SJW and I just started reading comics..."
Who are some heroes that have killed people, either intentionally or as accidental civilian casualties?
It bothers me how many comics are like pic-related, it ruins the suspension of disbelief when the fucking Hulk has never killed anybody even by accident. Or when Superman destroys half the city in a fight but I guess we're supposed to believe there were no civilian casualties.
What about Wonder Woman, does she ever kill people? Or really anybody aside from Punisher. Either intentionally or at least acknowledging that when your fight destroys a building, civilians are going to die.
If you have any specific comic stories to read I'd appreciate suggestions on that too, thanks.
>all your examples are from cape comics
Huh.
>>85248978
He's the best there is at what he does. But what he does best isn't very nice.
>>85249144
hm, I do need to read more X-Men
Is Superman a viable action star nowadays?
Of course he is. Any schmuck who acts like Superman is "outdated" has been a fucking moron. There is nothing about Superman's character that is going to go out-of-date any time soon. Those are people who are cynical or don't understand Superman's character. Or otherwise have no idea what they're talking about.
And really, if you want to be honest, Steve Rogers isn't that far off from Superman personality-wise, and look how popular he's been since the MCU.
>>85250047
Difference is that Cap doesn't have plot breaking powers.
For some reason, people think Supes being overpowered makes him boring.
>>85250180
But Superman's powerset is so much more complex than "Is he really OP or not?"
There are so many more factors than that.
Like, there are so many different versions of Superman. You have Golden Age Superman, Silver-Age Superman, post-Crisis, etc. And not all of these have the same power level.
On top of this, it's not like he's never fought enemies or been in scenarios that truly test his limits either. Even back in the Silver-Age, he did run into the occasional foe who could hang with him. Just look at Mongul in his first appearances or Brainiac in his first appearances.
And finally, it all comes down to writing ability anyway. Good writers make his conflict interesting regardless of his power level.
Since I started reading comics, I've mostly been into DC books. The only Marvel stuff I'm into so far have been X-men and Daredevil. I've read most of Claremont's run now and I've read all of Miller's Daredevil.
Now I feel like I want to get into more Marvel stuff. What runs on different titles would /co/ recommend? I'm fine with older stuff, newer stuff and on-goings, if there are any good. Stuff I've tried so far only really includes Amazing and Ultimate Spider-Man outside of X-men and Daredevil.
So, what's some really good Marvel titles I can dig into next?
>Marvel shit I really like and happily recommend
Miracleman
Omega the Unknown
Squadron Supreme
Also,
>only naming two publishers
I sincerely hope that you're not limiting yourself to only/mostly them.
>>85248573
>>85248675
I'm relatively new to comics, so far I've only read Marvel and DC stuff. But no, I'll happily take suggestions from companies other than the big two.
Find a flaw.

No Thorn tiddies.

I prefer the original black and white to the color.
OOOOOOOOOOH YEAH, THE MACHO MAN IS GOING TO EAT YOUR ASS
>>85248398
...
What?
>>85248482

Hawaiian Tracy Nightwing Babyface?

Now you are just TRYING to piss me off
As someone who didn't even know Carol existed prior to Civil War II, or what Kamala's entire deal is, what is it that makes you love her so much /co/? Don't you usually flip out when there's a diversity push with an established name?
Yes I know Carol's not using the name anymore.
>what is it that makes you love her so much /co/?
The comics are good.
Have you ever read a comic before?
>Yes I know Carol's not using the name anymore.
Isn't that the entire point?
There wasn't a Ms Marvel, and then Kamala filled the void. Everyone was OK with her because Ms Marvel was a decent series.
It's not rocket science.
>>85248174
There was a flip out at first, but people really got into the character.
Can we take a moment and admit this was the best live action adaptation of Batman the character ever? Sure the Dark Knight was a better film, but the BvS Batman has a ruthlessness and a crazyness that wasn't translated as well in any other adaptation
>>85248106
I agree
>killing people left and right
>best Batman
No it's the worst; if you're going to ignore a character's entire point then just make your own.
>liking something
>on /co/
So why did this fail while Sailor Moon is a huge success?
>>85248008
Steven Universe is huge, anon. What are you talking about?
>>85248008
Because girls don't want to go into comic shops to be sexually harassed by smelly nerds.
>>85248091
Where do they buy the Sailor Moon manga then?
Would you vote for him?
>>85247776
Absolutely.
Let's build a wall around the Narrows! Make Falcone pay for it!
>>85247776
Is running for mayor just the go to Penguin plot now?
I really like folklore and mythology. I feel a lot of material would make good animated films, like Prince of Egypt. Anyone else agree? Have any in mind? I'd like some Native American stuff myself.
The main issue is people are very, very touchy about religion. Even dead religions. Probably only a few thousand people tops worship the ancient Greek gods anymore yet Greece hates Disney's Hercules because it was inaccurate to the source.
I would like to see an adaptation of the book of Enoch.
>>85247590
The one about Mohammad and his 6 year old wife
The Ramayana - the ancient Hindu epic about a reincarnation of the god Vishnu named Rama. Amazingly cool story just begging to be turned into an animated movie (that isn't stiff and lifeless like the ones that already exist).
Honka honka or Ding ding ding?
>>85247528
Ding Ding actually felt menacing and was a better Joker.
>>85247567
What happens when Joker becomes Luthor?
>>85247528
Lex was a neat concept with a meh execution. Leno was a god awful concept with a bad execution.
