I'm in the same boat as you, OP. I used to fucking love Snafu, and VGcats. Sugar Bits had a pretty cool concept, though. And Tin the Ninja was neato, but it wasn't actually written or drawn by bleedman, if I can remember correctly.
I'm mildly embarassed by ancient stick figure animations that I enjoy a lot today, since they're from the early 2000s and many of them aged like milk.

Bleedman is a good artist, but a horrible writer and his designs can be really hit or miss.
If he had a halfway decent writer heading his work he could make something really great.

Maybe not, but in recently I think that if given the chance, a lot of writers and artists would fuck with Todd just because they could. I mean... The guy who is HATED. And I am not talking Liefield's hate. I mean say what you want about Liefield but he seems like a pretty decent guy for the most part. It's mainly just his art that gets shit. Todd is LOATHED as a person. I mean Neil bloody Gaiman doesn't like him and he gets on with nearly everyone in the industry.

Only way they could salvage it is if after Justice League (we know it's gonna suck) they claim that the JL we're watching aren't the real ones. The real JL arrive or have been watching from some other dimension.
Seriously if they wanted to reboot this to be right all they have to do is some multi-dimensional fuckery and instant reboot. But I know that will be too confusing for the mainstream audience.

I think I realized why the DCEU has been a disappointment at best, failure at worst so far. The problem is Superman. In pretty much every other incarnation of the character (inb4 NOT MUH...), despite skepticism by the public, the world is a better place because Superman is there. However in the DCEU, Superman being on Earth has directly or indirectly caused nothing but tragedy.
-accidently signaled Zod and brought him to earth. (OOPS)
-got Congress blown up
-didn't bother to move Zod's ship from the middle of the city which allowed Doomsday to be created
- Lex signaled Apocalypse to invade earth using Zod's ship.
I know DC/Warner is on the course they've set right now, but I wish they'd just wait a few years and hard reboot the universe. What do you guys think?

Superman being dour and sad and boring is certainly a large problem in the DCEU but it's secondary.
The main problem, very simply, is poor executive decisions. Snyder was not the right director for Superman films. Goyer was not the right scriptwriter. They were bad choices.
