this question maybe weird to you.
a movie script is around 120 pages, and the rule is 1 minute per page.
but how does that work with a comic, how much pages does a comic book should have for it to be a movie?
Ask Mark Millar
30 seconds?
So a comic-book film script would be 240 pages, or 10 issues. Most miniseries or events would be too short for a feature length film.

>Hey Anon, did you know that MC from X is actually in a coma?
>IT MAKES TOTAL SENSE SEE X, Y AND Z
>Can't even disprove it because it's a "theory"Luckily, I don't know anyone who's actually ever said this to me.
>>85806818
Objectively terrible fan theories
>Main or semi main character is autistic (fosters home, adventure time)
>Main character in a coma (adventure time)
>All characters are actually dead/in after life (EEnE)
>World is post apocalyptic (spongebob)
>>85806940
>World is post apocalyptic (spongebob)
it makes the most sense though
Has /co/ gotten over lesbian korra yet
>>85806279
/co/ never gets over anything
Has Korra gotten over mercury poison?
>>85806279
It's not so much the lesbian stuff as it was the shitting on the fans. The mean spirited, snarky comments, and the "why did I even bother to stick around, and support the show if you don't give a shit" sort of attitude.
I just have better things to do than support an uppity douchebag with terrible writing.
>cursed to be a beast unless he finds love
>cute girl finally comes to castle for the first time in years
>she isnt repulsed by him
>goes on an autistic rage and almost kills her
what the fuck was wrong with him
he has autism
I know this story is "stockholm syndrome: the fairy tale" enough as it is but what if the Beast wasn't ever a prince? What if he was just some shmo living in his mother's basement who got turned into a beast for calling an SJW (social justice witch) a fat hag-faced old cunt? What if Beast were /r9k/ the character?
>>85806178
Beast was always kind of an asshole, so he's trying to force Belle and when she isn't exactly what he wants he freaks out. A whole part of the story is Belle forcing Beast to improve himself.
Im new to comic books, how exactly is this supposed to work out? Can I safely ignore 99% of them that exist? What are the best standalone stories?
Im mainly interested in Kino, not the usual capeshit where the only appeal is if youre fanboying the specific characters. Id consider the killing joke, watchmen and the dark knight returns kino- what else should I read?
>>85806103
>kino
Get out.
>>85806103
1. Get over yourself on this kino bullshit
2. Runs with specific characters are still totally worth reading, and it also gives you a better understanding of those "kino" titles. Reading Books drawn by Steve Ditko, for instance, will let you appreciate the watchmen characters based on his work, as well as the grid panel structure that was so consistent in Ditko's work. Or perhaps you would read the Lee/Kirby run of the fantastic four to see the best of what the silver age had to offer.
3. That being said, independent titles are probably your cup of tea, in which case it's up to you to find the stories you find appealing and the art you like.
4. As far as keeping up, yeah you can ignore most books that come out. Read the ones you like and you'll figure it out eventually
Why is DC so embarrassed of the undies?
>>85805955
Because for some reason they think that their books about men in long underwear punching each other really really hard should be "mature".
Yellow oval is so retarded
>>85805955
Because people are fine with a grown man dressed up as a giant bat punching clowns and hanging out with a prepubescent child in his cave that has a giant penny and dinosaur, but if he has underwear on the outside then it's just too ridiculous and silly

I'm glad that everyone agrees that Russian really needs at least one superhero that turns into a bear.

>The moral of the animated movie is'bee yourself
>The moral of the animated movie is 'some people dont deserve to live'
>Regent literally captured the entire Marvel universe somehow
>is never brought up again despite capturing the Marvel universe
>nobody wants him to kill him
>>85805732
>Squadron Supreme were one of the many heroes captured by Regent
>Didn't take this opportunity to immediately insta-kill that fuck while he was depowered
And people say this fuck is better than Bendis?
Look at all these nobodies. Current Marvel is just so pathetic.
>>85805732
The sad thing is that Regent vs Earth 616 would have been such a better fucking event than CW2, you can tell that Slott wanted to make it a thing, but got shut down by Bendis.
Is this the most confidential cape film yet?
Anyhow, X-Men thread
Who is your favorite character?
Your least favorite character?
Your favorite potential/omega level mutant?
>Who is your favorite character?
Nightcrawler
>Your least favorite character?
Don't have on yet.
>Your favorite potential/omega level mutant?
Magneto or Legion
Anyone got any runs they would recommend? I'm currently reading ashtonishing.
>Favorite:
Tie between Cyclops, Nightcrawler, and Sam/Cannonball
>Least
There's so fucking many. I'd say Mondo from Gen X, but that dude wasn't even a character. Onslaught is up there probably. I think Apocalypse is just fucking lame other than his first outing.
>Potential/Omega Level Mutant
Probably Elixir before they forgot he was a character and Bendis replaced him with ANOTHER HEALER
Man, I don't usually like east meeting west, but I feel that Jojo's Bizarre Adventure does a better job at having unique powersets than X-men has done in the last decade. I guess the dude who's power is making people forget him was neat?
>>85805785
> I guess the dude who's power is making people forget him was neat?
I remember that. It was pretty sad
"Gaston was the good guy."
Explain.
He wanted to live a normal life in line with the social norms of his culture and was a productive and well liked member of his community.
People hate Gaston the same way people hate the zookeepers that killed Harambe, only Gaston wasn't successful. This movie is actually an allegory for Harambe's noble struggle.

I really should stop including it when I make the threads then.
What comic book series has had characters introduced that absolutely stole the show and become fan favorites more liked than the protagonist?
Pic related for an /a/ example. Even games set solely in the buu saga would go and have him as an extra just because of the fan preference.
Thimble Theater
and Fritzi Ritz both had breakout characters take over the strips.
>>85805253
Snoopy was a breakout character from Peanuts that completely replaced the original characters as the protagonist.
