Oh there were more?
>>85936504
Yes of course if you want to know what happen and how did you recorded on a vhs so that the others episodes won't be lost.
In the lost media thread you brought this up in, another anon said they'd never been fully animated
>Post characterss that you think are better off having a purely platonic relationship.
Them being a couple feels so weird I feel like it's too obvious and they're like brother and sister.

Get in here for some Ries and Prado goodness faggots, finally King's Batman has good art.
>The first arc of Batman: Rebirth, “I Am Gotham,” wraps next week and we’re left with a new ally devastated by events, in part, of her own making. Gotham Girl, now in mourning for her brother in the wake of the tragic events of Batman #5, has a choice: be a normal person and live a long life, or be a hero and die an early death. Sounds like a conundrum right up series writer Tom King’s alley. King sat down with Comicosity to discuss the evolution of Gotham Girl, what effect mortality has had on Batman, and what the future will bring for Bruce, Claire, and Duke.
>Matt Santori-Griffith: Let’s start off by talking about Gotham Girl. We’re seeing her in issue #6 dealing with the fresh trauma of her loss. It’s something Batman has gone through, of course, but we’ve never seen this up close and raw. How has it been working through that with Claire?
>Tom King: We had set aside an epilogue issue even in the first outline. I didn’t know exactly what it would be at the time, but I do like doing one-shots. I wanted to do something special.
>And then my grandmother died in the middle of all of this stuff — my grandmother who helped raise me. I was going through all the grief of that moment when I started to write this issue. It came together in my head as a chance to talk about some of that grief, what helps and what doesn’t. What it feels like. And I tried to do it without captions, just getting inside of her head.
>That’s what the issue became. It’s about Gotham Girl and how she’s broken, and that Batman wants to come in and fix her and he can’t.
>MSG: We see her in the preview pages not just reeling from the loss of her parents, but also the loss of her brother in a very specific way. How do you see that affecting her in terms of the mission they shared and her future with Batman?
>>85936249
>TK: We’re going to explore Gotham Girl in depth over the next few years, but this is a character who very much admired her older brother. She very much saw him as the hero of her life, much the way many people see their older brothers. She followed him into this life, thinking it was the place for her.
>The origin for Henry we saw in Batman #3? She wasn’t there for that. Her introduction to the super-hero world was through her bond with her brother. She let him guide her. That’s her perspective.
>In regard to Batman’s perspective, this is a book about obsession. Batman has always been a book about obsession. What Batman saw in Gotham and Gotham Girl was almost a way to finally redeem himself — to save Gotham City in a way he hadn’t been able to. Once Gotham the person died (and Gotham Girl is on the edge of death, having been infected with fear from the Psycho Pirate), Batman is now going to be obsessed with helping her, finding the cure for this fear she’s overwhelmed by.
>That obsession is going to drive the story forward.
>MSG: We got two very specific tidbits in the narration at the end of issue #5, one of which deals with Batman’s ultimate death. His mortality has been center focus for most of this first arc. What are your thoughts on that?
>TK: Regarding the narration, I never really use captions. I use them in Vision for first person narration and I think this is the first place I’ve used them in this arc.
>I put them there because I wanted it to be like you thought you were watching one thing, but you were actually watching something else. This whole time you thought you were watching this Gotham character and his interaction with Batman, but what you were really watching was the origin story of a brand new character.

A lot of the newer shows that have been coming out (not all) have been downright pathetic with cartoons like Breadwinners, Sanjay and Craig, Pickle and Peanut, Uncle Grandpa Teen Titans Go, The Powerpuff Girls Reboot and so much more. They're soulless there's no creativity in them they just treat kids like idiots and that's horrible.
Agreed
>>85935982
Wasn't the PPG reboot confirmed to just be a cheap way of maintaining ownership of the IP? As long as they do something with the PPG no matter how shitty it is, they can still keep the copyright they have on it. That means after many years of doing absolutely nothing with the franchise, they come up with this reboot idea that they really don't give a shit about just so they can keep it from going back to Craig

It's hard to compete with phones and tablets which this generation is largely being raised by. Even a lot of toddler shows are way dumbed down. Sesame Street is basically the Elmo Screamng Show. There's even a new one coming out about a girl who uses apps and technology to "explore her world".
The only young child show that seems to actually be calm and take a good approach at teaching is Daniel Tiger. The rest are just hyper colorful, loud, toy commercials disguised as child education.
>Go to Twitter's #DCSuperHeroGirls hastag
>like half the tweets are people begging for a Killer Frost doll
Soooo.... I guess that's probably happening, right?

Last season had some good moments but sorry, it was bad on most episodes.
i also don't understand all this obsession for the gay episode, that one about ninjas parodying ISIS was more funny.

Stupid internet reminding me about how unhappy I'll be until December.
I don't think anyone did this yesterday, s here it is.
Let's talk about Corto Maltese. I never visit this board and consequently have never seen any discussions of this comic, so I'll dump as many questions as possible here.
Firstly, which book is your favourite? Mine are Les Celtiques and Tango when it comes to story, and Tango and Les Éthiopiques when it comes to art.
Do you think colour or bw editions are superior? In my country most releases are b/w, with the exception of La Jeunesse and Les Hélvétiques. I feel that the colour, though well done, takes away some of the elegance of Pratt's lines in those two books, so I prefer b/w.
And here's a thing that really bugs me - does anyone really "get" Mu? Is it even meant to be rationally comprehended or is it a sort of Andalusian Dog?

Marvel may be doing Inhumans Vs X-Men starting in November.
So in December, DC Comics is publishing Justice League Vs Suicide Squad.
Written by Joshua Williamson and drawn by Jason Fabok, the six issue series will run weekly, with two issues ij December and four in January, as well as crossing over with Suicide Squad #9 and #10 and Justice League #12 and #13 of Justice League.
It also mirror Bruce Wayne’s threat in ythe Suicide Squad movie about taking down Amanda Waller’s team. Because in the comic it is Batman who decided that Task Force X must be put down.
And new Suicide Squad character Killer Frost will be a focus. And in February, will spin out the new Justice League Of America series.
Thanks to the Wall St Journal.

What a shitty idea.
I would love a Outsiders vs Suicide Squad, but this is retarded.
I seriously can't tolerate the Justice League books, Johns destroyed them
urg no.

Glasses, body language, cognitive dissonance, the existence of look-alikes. It's not that hard. Cavill proved it with his experiment too.
Same reason no one makes the obvious Peter Parker > Spider-man connection: They're such huge pussies no one would believe they're actually manly and nearly unbeatable heroes.
>>85934364
Because why would Superman ever want to be a guy like Clark Kent
Post pleb opinions. I'll start.

I know Steven Universe has a lot of fans, but is it legitimately good, or are people hyping the fuck out of it just to justify the fact that at the end of the day, they're watching a cartoon? I'm asking because I've recently watched Gravity Falls as my first TV cartoon past what I watched as a kid, and while I enjoyed it, it wasn't anywhere close to as good as people were claiming, and I had a lot of problems with it at the end.
I watched the first like, 3 or 4 episodes of SU around a year ago, and it didn't really catch my attention, but it might get better. I'm also really not a fan of the designs, but maybe I'll grow to like them.
Why did you think your weak ass opinion needed it's own thread? Its a solid kid's show with a rabid autistic fanbase. Thats it.
the second one.
but there's also a big push for people to say it's great because it's progressive.
>>85933835
You just don't understand the standard for what's good or not. The longer the watch something, the higher your expectations become and the more you want out of it time and time again. It's a good show. That's it. It's not gods answer to boredom but it's close and people enjoy it. You've been watching cartoons since your father left and your mother needed something to distract you with when she had customers over. You're a vetted veteran and this show just might not jive with you in a way it would have back then. It's ok if you don't like it.
I did not know that Bonnie was in Gen13..XD
Also, post example of characters with similar design in differents media.

Is this from those final issues of v1, or are they actually rebooting Gen 13?
>>85934545
no, is the old series.
