Post ridiculous comic book covers

>you just lost your family
>a weirdo in a bat costume kidnaps you into a dark, damp cave
>makes you eat rats
>puts you on a strict army-level training regiment
I'm surprised Batman didn't go trough more Robins than he did.

>we will never get more ASBAR ever
fucking jim lee, not being able to draw more than a page a month
How is it ridiculous?
can we get a spectre thread going. Favorite runs, panels, covers; anything really
OP, you made the mistake of liking a good character. Try shitposting like a cartoonfag and you'll get more replies.
That being said, my favorite Spectre stuff is usually with the JSA. I like seeing him deal with being on a team, because he's really not fit for it. All the other members are constantly trying to make sure Spectre doesn't nuke the world because he had a bad day. Spectre is proof that overpowered does not need to equal boring.
I recommend golden age Spectre and almost all modern JSA stuff that includes him. All three versions of Spectre are good. Not many heroes can say that.

There was that horror series recently that had Spectre as a massive plot point, the name escapes me but it's GCPD's mystical cases division...

ITT: A creator's relatively overlooked and underrated works
Everybody's read or have at least heard of Watchmen and V for Vendetta. It's criminal that the same can't be said for LXG

only dunces overlook Moore's work. everything he does is worth a look, even if opinions differ on the quality of the art or narrative. i'd say The Ballad of Halo Jones is more overlooked than the LXG series and i'll be forever remiss he did not conclude that series as it was a masterpiece in the making. while i get immense pleasure from reading the Nemo LXG books, they are lesser Moore. Providence, on the other hand, is phenomenal.
Are you ready for the summer? Are you ready for the hot nuts?

The thread came and went already

well I was working a 10 hour closing shift.
Anyone know if/when the Main Man is getting reborn? I can't think of another character that was as badly screwed by the nu52 as Lobo was, after all. He needs it more than anyone else, really.
He'll be in Harley's Little Black Book but I don't know if he's showing up anywhere else soon
>>86319388
>"We need more of this shallow, one-note parody character who far outstay his welcome long ago."
Thing you nerds don't get is that jokes have to stop at some point, or it stops being a joke, and starts being an annoying rant by someone who mistakenly believes they're charismatic.
Lobo and the sawed off version of him can stay in limbo and only a small bunch of boring, 90s obsessed idiots will care.
>>86319453
The joke has worn out its welcome, which most of the writers know; most writers develop his character. Ever notice how people are much more likely to talk about 52 or REBELS when it comes to the Main Man?
We like him for how he plays off of other characters in the DCU, not because he's supposed to be a parody of Wolverine.
BoxOffice.com is projecting a $88 million opening weekend and a domestic total of $255 million, which is subjected to get bigger once the marketing blitz kicks in. They also confirmed it's being released in China, which will probably boost the worldwide total.

Test-screenings have been very positive too. It's shaping up to be a good movie.

Came here to post this bitch.
At least 99% of John's victories are Pyrrhic. Except for Injustice, but everyone who lasts more than 5 issues is one in that universe.
