I just had a dream that disney made the world an overly PC shithole over night, where nothing sexual or offensive was allowed, and only boring wholesome entertainmaent was sanctioned. I think all this talk about SJW marvel and cartoon censorship is getting to me.

Bizzaro is a god awful villain, its akin to Superman beating up a defective drooling retard. Its just cruel.

Don't care for Supergirl being used ether but if they do GET OLIVIA THIRLBY GOD DAMN IT!

Seriously, I love Superman's sci-fi aspects, I really fucking do but that is not what we need right now, the audiences need more of him being friendly & personal with humans.
Continuing to focus on his alien side is going to piss people off before we even get any footage.

Are super heroes holding comics back?

Take this Warren Ellis quote.
"...clear away the majority of the 80 to 90% of all monthly comics publications that are in the superhero genre. Otherwise we’ll never see what we’ve really got. I’ve said before that the superhero’s cultural and economic dominance of the medium is the same as walking into a bookstore to see nothing but novels about nurses as far as the eye can see. I don’t doubt that there are excellent nurse novels in there. But the fact that in our nightmare bookstore, 90% of all books published everywhere are about nurses tends to choke off all other genres and a literary mainstream."

Are the majority of comics just going to regurgitate the same worn out ideas/characters and never end/evolve?

A year ago Bendis said that he and Marvel wanted Iron Man to be Marve Comics' flagship hero, just like in the movies.
He also said that one of his mission statements was to fix Iron Man's rogues gallery, by using his old villains in new and interesting ways and creating new villains. He made similar comments about Tony's supporting cast.

I can really take this extremely well-known, extremely liked character, and build a world around him that speaks to the future of the character and what the character wants. Here’s a character that can now reach out and attempt to build the life that he’s hoping for. That just got very exciting to me. So I went to David Marquez and I said, “we’re going to create a bunch of brand new villains. Pull out your sketchbook and show me all the cool villain things you know what to do with.”
