Who's this guy in red suit with a blanket on his back in second to last row and column? I recognize him, but can't remember who he was.
Did the political undertone of Luke Cage give it an edge over DD and Jessica jones?

White people, man.

>>86759414
I didn't think the politics was even explored well. It was very surface-level.
Luke is supposed to be a street dude, yet he came off very Bill Cosbyish and preachy rather than someone like Common, who can say similar things but comes off as way less patronizing.
>>86759414
It handled its inherently political nature better than Jessica Jones. It works on a couple of different levels that I think are valuable when presenting this kind of hero. I do think they could have leaned into it more but having Method Man specifically talk about the sociopolitcal implications of a bulletproof black man works.
Plus it's just straight up better than Daredevil and Jessica Jones.
I don't like this.Gamzeehas proven himself to be a massive threat. I get that Karkat really isn't hyped about bloodshed, and trolls are weird about death, but his team doesn't come first? Plus there was a lot of build up to this confrontation, which leaves a big old sour taste in my mouth. I get that's just the Homestuck's humor, but it's starting to annoy me all the same.
>>86748818
I guess he figured since he killed Equius that pacification was the only real solution.Turns out he was right.
>>86748862
That makes sense I guess. To be clear, Equius let Gamzee kill him right? Also, what the hell determines power in Homestuck? I can never tell who is strong and who isn't unless it's blatantly overpowered things like Doge Jack.
>>86748918
>To be clear, Equius let Gamzee kill him right
He did but Karkat didn't know that.
There is no real indicator of power in Homestuck.
Will you see Wonder Woman in theaters or will you wait for the inevitable Extended Cut?

Bravo, Marvel. Bravo, Waid.
You managed to write the most disgusting book ever. You must have pat yourself extra hard after finishing writing that last page eh, Waid? Truly this is the Kino of comics. I just wish you had Kamala take a self is with the corpse. Would have added extra charm to this book.
>woke
Yikes that's bad even for Waid

ITT: post couples you ship not because of how arousing they seem to you but because they're honestly romantic and make a good duo.

And how, exactly, are they romantic? They're siblings.
>>86759567
Yes, your point being?
So what are the rules for half-Kryptonians? Will he only be half as powerful as Superman, or does it follow Saiyan logic where he'll be just as strong if not stronger? Will Jon's kids have powers?
>>86759164
going by the original Super Sons, there is no real difference between pureblood and half Kryptonians
>>86759164
Well that laser blast that fried his cat seemed pretty damn powerful. His powers are very inconsistent but when they spike he seems to be almost as powerful as his dad even though he's a kid.
>>86759198
That was Lois' cat.

Why do people constantly praise Rebirth but in every storytime people call every book mediocre and boring? Which I happen to agree with.
I know I'm super fucking late to the party, but could we have an OTGW thread? Let's talk about what we liked, what we didn't like, or whatever the fuck we wanna say about it.
I just finished it last night and holy shitsnacks it was good.
The music was probably my favorite part since I just preordered the soundtrack.
I didn't like that the woodsman got his daughter back. Don't get me wrong, I'm a sucker for a happy ending, but I felt like everything went a bit too right. There should have been some kind of sacrifice for the boys to make it home intact.
Anyway, let's go nuts
It's a beautiful show.
The Jason Funderberger reveal is an effortlessly funny gag.
How come only Australia got the Blu-Ray?
>>86759026
Yeah I'm not sure why I was expecting a football playing tough guy, but I busted out laughing when Jason Funderberger showed up.
I think it was because I was expecting his crush to be a cheerleader or popular girl or something, but was pleasantly surprised to see that he was getting so nervous talking to a normal girl his age.

POLYGON REEEEEEEEEEEEEE

"on Monday, Lazzo took to Reddit to clear up what he said. According to Lazzo, he believed "women don’t tend to like conflict, comedy often comes from conflict, so that’s probably why we (or others) have so few female projects." He added that despite what employees had told Buzzfeed, he was considered one of the most approachable executives at Adult Swim and that he tried to help everyone tighten their idea or pitch into something that the network would actually want to get behind. Lazzo then went on to say that if unnamed sources were mad at him, it was an issue on their end, not his."
"If other executives are like Lazzo, who seems to have an excuse for why more women can’t be brought onto network shows ready to go whenever he’s asked about it, then television isn’t going to become any more diverse anytime soon."
"It’s not okay to say, "I wish we had more people like Tina Fey or Amy Schumer" when networks aren’t willing to give female writers the chance to prove they can be."
"Rick and Morty co-creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon spoke about the lack of women both on their show and in the cartoon space in general last year. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter two years ago, Roiland joked that they didn’t have women in the writers room because it made his "wee-wee feel weird." The co-creator was lambasted with angry tweets and in a follow up interview a year later, fellow co-creator Harmon said that they had plans on hiring more female writers, but he didn’t want to force it."
