Liked it in high school. Now really don't care.
It's not bad, just outgrew the theming and the humor.

No
The script.
>Forensic scientist Barry Allen protects Keystone City as The Flash, having developed superhuman speed after being struck by lightning and doused in chemical products. Barry's wife, investigate reporter Iris West, and his best friend, Detective Hunter Zolomon, are aware of his secret, but Barry doesn't make public appearances, stopping crimes faster than people can perceive him, and as such is dismissed as an urban legend by the authorities.
>Iris' nephew, Wally West, who is fascinated by the Flash, visits them for the summer, and follows Barry and Hunter as they investigate a disturbance in the outskirts of Keystone City, which turns out to be a trap laid by Victor "Turtle" Vesp, a mad scientist obsessed with stealing the Flash's speed, which he believes is the key to immortality.
>Barry is trapped in the Infinity Transducer, a machine designed to harness his speed and which soon becomes unstable and threatens to level the city. Barry manages to escape by breaking the lightspeed barrier and "going nova", which seemingly disintegrates him in front of Wally.
>Hunter is paralyzed after being shot by Vesp, who is arrested by the authorities. Iris writes an article revealing Barry's secret to the world so his sacrifice will always be remembered.
>PRESENT DAY
>Wally is living in Keystone City, but is haunted by Barry's death and believes he'll never live up to him, and as such has avoided applying for college or for a job, to Iris' concern. While visiting a statue built in Barry's honor at the Keystone City Park, Wally is unexpectedly struck by lightning, which affords him superhuman speed, such as Barry.
>While struggling to his newfound powers, Wally is approached by Dr. Tina McGee and her ex-husband, Dr. Jerry McGee, scientists from S.T.A.R. Labs, a cutting-edge research institute, who have dedicated their lives to studying Barry's powers. Jerry theorizes that Barry harnessed his power from an extradimensional quantum field known as the "Speed Force", and that in the moment of his death he redirected that energy through the space-time continuum, reaching Wally years later in the form of a lightning bolt.

5 years ago today this abomination of an episode aired.
And you're still bitching about it, even after these 5 years.
But can I get quads after five years?
>>87352999
It was a good episode.
What bothers you more:
All those girls dressing as SS Harley Quinn for halloween?
Or parents dressing their little daughters as SS Harley Quinn for halloween?
>>87352710
Why should I CARE?
/co/ sure does moralfag wrong when they fap to most of the good female characters who dress like whores unironically
>>87352710
Neither. I'm just amused you're so triggered by both.

Nah, it's the one girl who storyboards for the show. Ashley something.
Outside of the comic books, will DC ever realize that it has more heroes than just Batman and his side kick/rival superman?
Even Marvel realized that it's made up of more than Spiderman, Hulk and the xmen.
>>87351214
They will when fans do.
>>87351214
>Even Marvel realized that it's made up of more than Spiderman, Hulk and the xmen.
Only because it didn't own any of them.
So the solution is to get someone else to take away DC's Batman movie rights.
>>87351214
Only because they had sold out their most popular heroes.
And as soon as they could, Marvel started production on their own Spider-man movie, pushing back movies of lesser known heroes.
Cute cartoon versions of real life people.
Lady Godiva is everything a man could want in a woman.

It's funny, I grew up in West Virginia and I had already heard several of these stories and rhymes before I even picked up the book. So while the art is creepy enough, I was already desensitized to the stories themselves.
you must leave this place
Hello all, I got this done sooner than I expected, so it's time for another Franco-Belgian storytime.
This time, it's a story by Mathieu Bablet who you may remember from Beautiful Death and Adrastea.
>Several hundred years into the future, mankind lives on a space station ruled over by a multinational with a true cult following. At first glance, everyone seems satsfied with this "perfect society". In this setting, some men struggle to push past their limits and become gods. To do this, they put into place a program designed to create life from nothing in Shangri-La, one of the most hospitable regions of Titan, where they intend to enact their version of the book of Genesis.
It's a fairly long book, but it should fit in this thread. And please, as always, don't hesitate to share any comments, criticism, corrections or suggestion.
Hope you enjoy.
Here's a little trailer, I quite like these, wish English comics had them.
