Was Mad ever actually funny in the past or did kids in the 50's-70's just have nothing better to laugh at?
>>87464892
Your sense of humor evolves as you get older, what was funny then to you might not be funny now.
Simple dumb slapstick or toilet humor probably put you in stitches when you were rather young, but doesn't seem funny at all now.
It wasn't made for kids, it was for adults.
I had Mad Kids ten years ago and I liked that. It wasn't aa good as Nick Magazine or Disney Adventures but was fun. My library carries Mad and it's mildly amusing.

I used to read Mad and Cracked magazines and I once jerked off to a section in Mad called "A mad look at nudity"
I miss anyone, who else got confirmed to show up?
You didn't say who that super obscure one in the middle is.
>>87464305
I think that's the Joker there in the middle.
>>87464344
you mean Gwynplane?
Tell me one reason Batman shouldn't be gay. He's hardly is seen with women in the comics anymore.
asexual would make more sense really.
It would turn his relationship with his underage wards even more uncomfortable.
But other than that he's an aristocratic twit with a ton of mommy issues. Being gay would fit the theme perfectly.
The theater aired a SLAY THE GAY ad before Zorro that night
What do ya think you that? Mr pajama wearin'...

Fill me in on the last decade or so of X-Men continuity.
It doesn't matter.
None of it matters.
A whole lot of nothing until Beast brought back the original five and then it became a clusterfuck.
But go read Jason Aaron's Wolverine and the X-Men, Si Spurrier's Legacy and Remender's X-Force. They're great.

The comics exist but it hurts that there's no show.I can't believe Valve fucked that chance up
I still think a western moe short series could work.
does neopets count
Here we got an actress that is really committed to her role /s
Thank you hungry skeleton.

No.

Where is the point where Marvel's decline really became apparent?
Like what is the Simpsons season 10 of Marvel?
The most common answer I hear is post-Civil War.
>>87461696
It's still good and all you have to do is wait until the big 2 shake up their artists and writers again before Marvel can take over
This whole Marvel vs DC thing is so overplayed when they have both been toeing the same level of quality for quite some time. Post-Civil War you still have stuff like Uncanny X-Force and Immortal Iron Fist. Nu52 exists. It's baseless company wars.
>>87461713
I'm not saying DC is any better (though I wouldn't know as I don't really read DC), but I think its disingenuous to pretend Marvel hasn't been in a slump for a long time.
Any title I pick up that they put out before like 2002-2005ish, I can feel pretty confident that it will at least be entertaining and not irritating. Now I don't read any of their stuff unless its a really good writer like Remender or its got really good reviews from non-SJW sites. Their lesser books have gone from mediocre to almost aggressively off-putting. The people they bring in now seem to either hate all the past storylines or treat them with such reverence that they just blandly retread them.

>It's still good
Why is this show always either an A++ or F? Seriously, I've never heard any moderate opinions. It's either the best thing that has happened to western animation since Adventure Time or an assault on humanity as a whole. Is it really that polarizing?
>>87461287
Besides some shippers assblasted their ships arent cannon or people being homophobic or extremly anti tumblr, its even better then adventure time. Cuz around this time in adventure times lifetime, it was going to shit fast.
The number one problem in SU is that they don't know how to effectively blend slice-of-life stories with their scifi adventure. It's always either all one or all the other. Episodes that take place in Beach City should be a completely separate cartoon from magical space battles with alien hologram people. I get fucking whiplash every time this show is like "here have some drama involving a family in the next town over that has NOTHING TO DO with our protagonists or their story or plot or literally anything. got all that? okay now let's talk about galactic genocide." I'm sick of it. Get rid of everyone in Beach City and just give us the fucking story.
>>87461287
Ok, here's a moderate opinion.
I enjoy the show, and think it's good, but it's certainly not for everyone and I understand that. While it is one of the best cartoons for children currently running, it has flaws.
You have 10 seconds to name a more cringe worthy portrayal than this.

I think I can understand why Danny would be interested in Misty, but why would Misty be interested in Danny?
Helps her get her "groove" back?
He's a strangely zen white boy with no racial hang ups, who is also super fit, handsome and obscenely wealthy.

So what do we think of her so far?
I don't care. I highly doubt she's going to last anyway.
I'm guessing her number one will sell 27k. Then her #2 will drop down to 18k.
I support replacing all characters with cutie brown girls but I don't like Bendis writing anyone, ever
Why doesn't anyone think Leela is hot?
In terms of looks, Leela is a high-tier /co/-girl.
She's the right amount of thicc.
