My little brother suffers from male pattern baldness, and he's really losing confidence over it. who are some good superheroes that also suffer from male pattern baldness?
>>87477320
None. Dr. Druid is awful and no one likes him.
>>87477320
>male pattern baldness
If it effects your little brother then it will likely torment you too someday.
Charles Xavier
Face it /co/, Steven Universe is meant to watched on VHS.

Good attemp, but VHS weren't that faulty (scan lines at every moment).
80s fags need to die already.

>Pan and Scan
This is exactly why LaserDiscs are better.
Just got back from seeing Sherlock Holmes: The Superhero Movie. Thought it was pretty good, considering picking up the comics, but have no idea where to start. I'm more interested in the modern comics, but beyond that I'm clueless. Any of you /co/olguys want to give me a good jumping off point?
Also Doctor Strange thread I guess.
>>87477169
the modern dr strange comic is pretty bad
the art is good tho
there have been several miniseries that are ok but in general the movie version is pretty different on its own
Read 60's- 80's Strange and stop there. It won't get better than that.

Can't go wrong with Triumph and Torment.
Storytime.
How many times has she died? how many times has she turned evil? there was an alternate universe version of her on Earth for a while?
>>87476995
>Can anyone explain this character's history?
To summarize: JEEEEEEAAAAANNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!?!?!??!?!!!!!!!!
>How many times has she died?
I wanna say it was 4, but first time was a ruse, as was the second.
>how many times has she turned evil?
Two or three times depending on who you ask. I like two.
>there was an alternate universe version of her on Earth for a while?
AoA Jean came to visit a few years ago, but it was very brief.
There's probably another example, but I can't recall it at the moment.
Currently, her younger self is running around and is a sadistic piece of work.Very in-character
>>87476995
she died two times, once in the 80s, at the end of the dark phoenix saga, and the second time, when she was killed at the end of Morrison's run by Xorn-Magneto, like in 2004.
The first time she was meant to be dead forever, but a few years later Busiek, who was a fanboy of 60s xmen and hated having Jean dead, became a Marvel writer, and retconned her death into being the death of a perfect clone with all her memories created by the Phoenix, while the real Jean was in a coccoon in the ocean around Jamaica. The coccoon was found by the Avengers.
She has been death since the end of Morrison's run around 2004. The current Jean is young Jean Gray brought from the past by Beast along with all the original x-men from the 60s.
she became evil in the dark phoenix saga. it isnt clear if becoming evil was unavoidable, or if she became evil only because of being corrupted by the mind manipulation of Mastermind.
>>87476995
Her story's not terribly confusing. She's an X-Man until a mission in space causes her to tap itno a great power. She's presumed dead but rises from the water as the Phoenix. Over a long period of time she's slowly manipulated mentally by Mastermind into falling in love with him and becoming the Black Queen of the Hellfire Club, however she's driven insane and power mad which causes her to fly off into space, "eat" a star and then eventually kill herself to atone for her crimes. The entire Phoenix/Dark Phoenix stuff plays out over like 4 years real time in the comic; it's a very long, very slowly builty story.
Then it turns out that wasn't the real Jean at all. The real Jean had been lying in a cocoon under Jamaica Bay and the Jean of the Phoenix/Dark Phoenix Saga was the Phoenix Force itself assuming her likeness. Jean is revived from her stasis and joins X-Factor, eventually marries Scott, has adventures with the X-Men, etc. She never actually gets the Phoenix Force until late in the '90s (Rachel Summers, her daughter from an alternate universe, had it for like the previous 10-15 years). Her marriage with Scott dissolves and at the end of the Planet X story arc in Morrison's New X-Men, she's killed and canonically that's the first and only time she's died; she's stayed dead for 12 years now and is essentially one with the Phoenix Force at this point.

Because sequels and spinoffs. Gotta milk this franchise for all it's got!
>>87476986
We will never know because Sony decided to hand the franchise over to people who couldn't even write a "Vacation" movie.
>>87476986
Wasn't it revealed by the WikiLeaks (I just get a kick out of the fact that WikiLeaks released shit that had to do with Spider-Man movies rather than, like, secret trade deals or war crimes or Clinton's emails, lol) that Sony actually had no idea what they were doing and were just making shit up as they go along and didn't even have a solid plan? Like, they were trying to build a "Spider-Universe" with spinoffs for the Sinister Six and "some female character," but they had no idea how they would fit together, or even who that shadowy trenchcoat guy would turn out to be.
Dr Strange is about a rich genius who is also a suave arrogant prick
One day, while wallowing in his own hubris, his car blows up and he suffers a horrible debilitating injury.
What follows is months of suffering and self-searching as he slowly and painfully sheds his own self delusions and pretenses, as he struggles to free himself from his rock-bottom situation, reforging his character into something greater
Eventually he finds way to artificially fix his debilitating injury, and in the process of trying to perfect this with his massive genius, he winds up becoming a complete master of something revolutionary.
He also makes lots of quips and one-liners.
But it's not all smooth sailing, as it turns out his mentor was not all that they seemed, and he must deal with this betrayal and the repercussions caused by it
Also there's this spunky little redheaded coworker/sidekick/love interest who's constantly rolling her eyes at his quirky antics. They have a cute relationship.

>spunky little redheaded coworker/sidekick/love interest who's constantly rolling her eyes at his quirky antics
Not only was Palmer NOT a redhead, she wasn't the "exasperated eye-roller" type.

Blame Stan Lee and Steve Ditko for reusing a backstory that had already been written earlier that year, five decades ago. There's not much the filmmaker could do about it, unless they were going to reinvent Strange's origin and go against the comics.
Who do you think is strong enough to defeat King Crimson and is smart enough to understand it?
Superboy Prime.
The characters you use in Kingdom Hearts against that one boss who essentially has King Crimson's powers plus Mandom and The World are strong enough.
And they are dense. So a lot of people could do it.
Also sage for not comics nor cartoons.
>>87476330
Zoss the conquering king. Wielder of the terrible Blade of Want and the OGest nigga this side of The Wheel
>It is 2030
>Bruce Wayne's origin is retconned again
>The movie that the Waynes watched on that fateful night is Iron Man 1.
How would you feel?
Why would they ever retcon it? A movie can be played any year, it's not set in stone.
>A Marvel movie
>>87476301
There was a 2005 Zorro movie.
Just sayin,
This thread is devoted to the entirety of the DCAU, television shows as well as films. Post things you like, dislike, or thoughts for future films.
>Things I Like
The Justice League have been expertly portrayed in shows as well as film. If I had to rank my top movies, it would be.
1. Justice League Crisis on Two Earths
2. Justice League: Gods and Monsters
3. Justice League: The New Frontier
>Honorable mention: Justice League Doom.
And I don't even know where to start with Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. It was one of the few iterations of the Justice League where many of the heavy hitters were severely depowered making the disparity between supes and non supes all the smaller. This felt like an actual universe that was extraordinarily cohesive with few moments that contradict past lore.
The change from Deahtstroke the Mercenary to Slade the Mastermind. Many think he's better served as new character rather than Deathstroke.
Young Justice made me care about Red Tornado.
>Things I Didn't Like
Although it isn't considered mainline, I hated that the Justice League were never mentioned in Teen Titans. Not even in passing. ALso the Justice League were huge douchenozzles (or maybe it was just Superman souring the team by association).
>>87476131
In hindsight, I don't think any of the shows contradict past lore. Weisman was king of the index cards and Justice League was produced by McDuffie so continuity errors would most likely be low.
>>87476131
I liked Young Justice.

So they're making a movie based on Daniel Clowes' Wilson.

Thoughts?
The guy from Don't Starve?
Can't say I approve of the redesign.
>>87475962
they're desperate for source material?
I want an ANIMATED adaptation of any of Clowes' works
Fuck live action
>episode has silent credits
>>87475686
>character dies/disappears
>Credits change
>>87475887
>character comes back to life.

It wasfun.

MC almost got adopted by his future wife.
What is /co/'s thoughts on these two episodes of Camp Lazlo?
I found Tree Hugger very funny and entertaining. I loved seeing Lumpus wanting to chop down the tree.
Marshmallow Jones is my favorite episode of the show. Raj is actually my favorite character in the show, and I loved seeing him eat all of the marshmallows. I love marshmallows a lot and the episode was so much fun to watch
I am a big fan of Camp Lazlo. While I love Rocko's Modern Life, I actually prefer Camp Lazlo to that show
>>87475372
Funny episodes! Joe Murray is a genius.
Camp Lazlo was so much better than crap like Foster's Home for crappy Friends, My Gym Partner's a Crap-Hole, Boring Ben 10, and Stupid Lame Puffy AmiYumi
Remember that part when Lumpus acted like a tree?
>>87475684
The Camp Kidney book is so stupid! They wanted Lumpus to "become one with the tree"
This is the xmen concept done right
>>87474854
They're not like the X-Men at all.
>>87474854
Thats not theinhumans.
>>87474854
Elaborate.
