I don't trust the current DC regime to do right by the Legion, honestly. I'd like to see a version that mixes the best of all eras, but not holding my breath. For the Legion to really work, you need a strong continuity to extend into the future and we sure as shit don't have that now.

From what I remember

Though majority, they just keep the japanese names. The Phantom Troupe is referred to as Ryodan. Though Doraemon I think translated some gadget names.

On to the actual animes I remembered enjoying

99% of current comics readers only started reading comics because of the movies. Morrison is the most popular writer among modern readers because he's the one who crosses over between "mainstream superhero action" and "artsy fartsy shit" the most, so he appeals to the broadest range of people.

For better or worse, this is the current state of comics fandom.

Morrison has never made a non-superhero comic worth reading. He's done some impressive stuff, but he's a one-note who can only write one type of story in one type of genre in one specific superhero universe. We3 is the outlier, but even that was carried 100% by Quitely's art.

Payoff in season 3/end of 2 is great if you're into dramatic turns in comedies. If you don't find the formula funny the first two seasons will be a bit of a slog. I think it's fantastic.

First season is a bit slow but hilarious.

Second season gives more depth to the characters and is still funny, but major changes happen in the final two episodes.

Season 3 is more or less a drama. If you've seen Bojack Horseman, you'll know the same feeling
