Is there anyone who DC could even emulate Marvel with? Lee had a hand in pretty much all Marvel's Silver Age characters, which are the ones who have really lasted, even the ones where the initial idea wasn't his, the system they used still left Lee's stamp on it. DC's all stars come from tons of different sources, tons of different creators, and more than that, every creator pf their main characters lived long enough ago that they're dead now.

Thing is, sure, you can argue that they turned them bad again cause villainous ties (even thought Black Cat's turn is still way too extreme), but almost all the female heroes right now are pretty much the same personality. The GURL Power character who don't take no shit from no one. Kitty, Spider-Gwen, Mockingbird, Carol Danvers, Young Jean Grey, they are all the same. Hellcat, Squirrel Girl and Spider-Woman rely on the "LOL, we're quirky slobs"

Everyone with half a brain and taste loved David Bowie, and Jermaine has a sexy voice. Put those two together and you've a winner.

a hero who only accepts money so that he can quit his day job in order to hero full time, and who will leap into action even with no guarantee of pay, or accepts "symbolic"' payments is a lot more likely to be considered "right"
