Alright, sheriff. Make your move.

it's weird to think i like a post 00s Johnny Deep performance
>>88297175
Beautiful movie
I think that a little more grounded version of Mysterio could absolutely work on film. Just imagine him disguising himself as Uncle Ben to fuck with Peter's head.
That fishbowl just can't be translated to film though.
What would you propose to do with it, /co/ ?
>>88296790
>That fishbowl just can't be translated to film though.
That's the best part though
Most likely something reminiscent of this.
I personally would like to see him wearing a white spandex mask that encompasses his whole head like rorschach but without the ink. Cover it with a purple hood and call it a day
>>88296990
I don't disagree. Maybe he's like always holding a sphere that is reminiscent of it or something?
Should the MCU do the farmer Thanos ending?
How would you feel if they did? Would it even work?
I really hope not. You can't have the villain kill half the Universe and then get off scott free by getting to live on a farm.
One thing that's good about casual movie viewers is that they don't easily accept nonsensical shit like that.
>>88296317
>they don't easily accept nonsensical shit like that.
their mentality is literallyits ok if marvel does it
its kinda too late to do anything deep with the mcu thanos character. he's just a generic big bad there.
Are you the Revelationist or the Revelation, /co/?
darkseid was better when he was space nixon instead of space satan
for fucks sake, he had the god of public relations on his side
I'm the Revelanistion
I am Kanto!
Please do not make fun at my ridiculous appearance or incompetence.
Since Conway's Spider-Man Renew Your Vows is selling more than Slott's stuff, it's official that more people prefer a Married Spider-Man (especially one married to Mary Jane) over the Manchild sociopath of 616.
So why not replace the current Spider-Man with the REAL Spider-Man. Kill the edgy Post-OMD Peter (who likes killing children so much that Ock called him out on it) and have the Real Peter take his place. He could even have his company. Also kill Mary Jane and replace her with the REAL Mary Jane from RYV.
I mean, it worked for Superman.
>>88296133
Maybe you should at least wait to see the sales for the second issue before making any bold claims.
>>88296133
It was the first issue of course it's going to sell more. Come back in 5-6 months and then make this thread.
>REAL Spider-Man
>REAL Mary Jane
Oh you're one of THOSE fans.
>>88296133
Yeah Superman is one of the best Rebirth titles
>directly adapt character from the comics
>give him the name of a completely unrelated comics character
What is the point of this?
>>88295902
Thank for saying what I've been seeing
>>88295902
Cause Ganke is a really stupid name
To cuck Bendis?
>Are comics sales slipping or stagnating as we enter 2017? Some signs point to yes, as you can see from the November sales figures released earlier today. While the sales decline earlier in the year has been reversed to a net positive thanks to the Rebirth surge, there is a sense of worry out there.
>So what’s going on out there? Asking around a few factors came up. First off, comics sales definitely dropped in an election year, as they have historically. While one might expect cheap escapist entertainment to do well in our current landscape of political doubts, Wall Street and corporate America are also looking for the economy to boom once more under our new president. Ironically, comics do well in times of economic hardship and badly in a boom time. (1996, the last time comics failed, came during the first dot.com boom, and it was shocking how everyone else was bathing in champagne while comics were huddling over a trash fire eating canned beans.)
http://www.comicsbeat.com/2017-may-be-a-rough-year-for-comics-retail-and-the-industry-or-not/
>Everything is a lot different from it was 20 years ago, though, so no telling how the wider picture will affect comics, but trade tariffs would definitely affect foreign printing (most comics are printed in Canada or China) and rises in the minimum wage have already affected some small comics shops.
>Moving on to The State of the Industry, while a lot of people have been pointing the finger at Marvel’s tepid numbers for Marvel Now! 2016-17, it is not the only culprit. But it is certainly one of them. As Field starkly stated above, “#Comicmarket could use a monster hit right now.” Marvel’s big tentpole events, including Civil War II and, previously, Secret Wars, have run way behind schedule, so much so that the tie-ins come out before the actual issues. Not exactly reader friendly. Enthusiasm for Monsters Unleashed is non-existent, and The Inhumans becoming a sales smash is a fantasy worthy of J.K. Rowling.
>Over at DC, Rebirth is obviously settling in to “standard attrition” numbers butover all levels much higher than a year ago. DC has also been avoiding rolling out too many bells and whistles aside from boutique mini brands like Young Animal and Hanna Barbera that have, thus far, performed much better than expected. The problem here is not as obvious: with the $2.99 pricing for most books, retailers are making less per title. Even though they are selling more, profits are lower.
>The talent exodus from the Big Two to indies and well funded start-ups is part of the issue. Marvel has a pretty reliable pipeline of hiring talented but relatively little known indie creators, putting them on books that have middling success, and then watching them graduate to their own franchises at Image. The emphasis on writers over artists is particularly at play here. Tom King hit it out of the park with The Vision (Which is a hit in treades) and Sheriff of Babylon (which sells less than 6000 copies a month), two books that fit his own worldview precisely, but could he give, say, Inhumans the boost it needs? The days of no brainer decisions like hiring Grant Morrison or Mark Millar to reinvigorate a character are over. Warren Ellis coming back to Wildstorm is the closest thing we’re seeing to that, and it will do well out of the gate for sure, but there’s only one Warren Ellis and that’s a very specific situation. Likewise, the jury is out on Bendis’s return to Jessica Jones.
>At Image, sales have leveled out. While top names getting to put out their dream projects will continues to sell, it’s settled down from steak money to beer money for new titles by established but not superstar talents.
>Despite the retailer problems, this will probably be the second biggest year ever for comics. Many stores are having top five years. Sales volume is way higher than it was and the industry has grown appreciably. The problem is that margins are still razor thin and all of these cuts and nicks to the bottom line hurt.
>Finally, as the cuts and nicks happen, it goes up and down the supply chain. While the Hastings backruptcy was predictable, and Diamond did what t could to insulate itself, it wasn’t negligible. I’m told that Diamond has been cracking down on some delinquent accounts and that is doubtless part of why Field foresees store closings in 2017. While a handful of store closing, 5 or 6, would be sad, more than that could be bad for everyone.
>This is an ongoing situation that is going to unfold over the next few months. And it’s not a doomsday scenario. There will be consolidation and the strong will survive. We have a strong industry. The annual ComicsPRO meeting takes place this February and I’ll be looking closely to reports coming out of it.
what does /co/ think of psychicpebbles
Edgy bullshit that relies on funny faces

But that's Hotdiggitydemon
I've never been a fan of shock humor, so I don't really care. Have nothing against the guy, though.
Can we have a thread about absolutely terrible writing?
A Marvel General is a pretty broad subject, OP.
>>88295303
Oh man you have no idea how much I want to talk about Angela Queen of Hell. People always bring up that one panel, but it's nothing compared to
>Skurge being treated like a henchmen
>Baldur's somehow able to watch Game of Thrones
>The Fourth wall breaking, treating Sara like she's the next Deadpool
>Sara is a weird character, she's a bi-racial, trans angel, but if they can change genders at will does that really make her trans? Also just not a very interesting character really...at least not enough to get a fanbase, hell not even comics alliance brings her up that often.
Civil War 2 is a trainwreck top to bottom but there's way too much talking and not enough action.
At least the first one actually felt deserving of the name Civil War.
Wow, this is a really good show. I wasn't into it at first but I just finished the last few episodes of season 2 and shit gets insane.
I'm really surprised they're making another season, since it's clear from the ending they didn't expect it to go on. Do you think the 3rd season will be good?
>>88295181
>good show
TRIGGERED

>this is a really good show
No it isn't.

I feel the same way. I was really not feeling it at first but it gets a lot better
ITT: QUALITY in comics/cartoons
>that fucking face
>>88294979
That's literally just a misplaced pupil though.
>>88294979
That's just a shit inker/colorist instead of bad art. It happens sometimes.
>American superheroes decide into interfere in how a middle eastern country affairs
>Does so by using brute force
>Then they support the opposition
>Even tried coving up their attacks
>Then leave the place defenseless (instead of staying to fix it) after getting involved
Don't you see, /co/? It's actually a metaphor for America! It all makes perfect sense!!! It's like poetry, it rhymes!
>>88294269
I am so Woke now

That pic is good bait, OP. I approve.
It's because of the brown people isn't it
CAROL IS SHIT, POST WHAT YOU THINK SHOULD HAPPEN TO HER SHIT CHARACTER.

why does this movie feels like it was made casually?
What does that even mean?

As opposed to whom? Turbonerds?

Was this show really that bad?
>>88293603
The first season, which the episode you posted is from, was decent. Not great, but watchable. Everything after was the sharpest decline in quality I've ever seen from a cartoon series; a decline that never actually bottomed out, it just kept declining right to the end.
The first season was alright though?
