Encore has been playing it for well over a year.
Thread for my favorite Spidey villain: Mysterio!
Also asking for recommendations on good Mysterio stories. Aside from the classic Lee/Ditko stuff, Mysterio never seems to get a great story.
I think we will get Mysterio in a Spider-man movie soon. The MCU will def try to use him. The only villains they really have left now are Kraven and Mysterio.
>>88356945
I usually hate Slott's Spidey, but damn he wrote a great Mysterio in the Gauntlet.

Why call him Ned Leeds instead of just Ganke?
Will he get fit at some point?
Kek, I was just about to make my own thread about this.
It doesn't make any sense to me either. The character is OBVIOUSLY supposed to be Ganke, so why they're calling him "Ned Leeds" is completely beyond me.

>>88358532
it's clearly to say fuck you to Bendis
Ganke's name is racist. Obviously Asians should enjoy the privilege of having white name too
Genius hack or overrated manlet?

An above average writer who got way too deep into a project that he didn't have the temperament to handle.
He'll probably do fine at FOX.
I think he might have a problem with writing female characters, considering how poorly written Mabel is and how boring Wendy was.
>>88356744
Mabel didn't suck until the ending.
The issue is that Alex clearly wrote deep flaws into Mabel's character, flaws that the story itself points out, but Alex, like literally everything else relating to the finale, pussied out and never wrapped up said plot point.

It'll probably wind up being a Rick and Morty Lite, fun and clever but nothing to write home about.
>mfw I tell the King of Hyrule that Ganon and his minons have seized the island of Koerdai and this nigga asks what's for dinner
Take your 2008 memes back to /b/ faggot.

Did he singlehandedly save the genre?
>>88355602
Sadly.
>>88355602
Iron Man was horrible though?
>>88355602
not single-handedly but yeah it happened with Blade and X-men in the late nineties Burton's Batman in the eighties and so onoh wait I forgot the other movie is overrated and people only liked it because an actor died
We dodged a bullet, /co/.
>Two years after Norman Osborn's death, Peter Parker and Harry Osborn are living together, but Harry soon begins experiencing nightmares and hallucinations, and decides to move back to Osborn Manor, forcing Peter to relocate to a rundown apartment.
>Meanwhile, Mary-Jane Watson is estranged from Peter and struggling with her acting career. She develops a relationship with Dr. Otto Octavius, the scientist who created the genetically-modified spiders that he theorizes gave Spider-Man his powers. Octavius has also created four mechanical arms and a "pacer chip" coded to Spider-Man's DNA, that could reverse his powers.
>Obsessed with revenge, Harry puts a $10 million bounty on Spider-Man's head through the Daily Bugle, turning the entire city against him. Octavius becomes addicted to the endorphin needed to endure the pain of being connected to the arms, and begins being influenced by then. He spirals out of control after being mugged during a date with MJ, viciously beating the crooks and going on a rampage, forcing Peter to intervene. In the ensuing fight, Octavius's arms are fused to his spine, for which Spider-Man is blamed. Tired of the constant persecution, Peter steals the pacer chip and injects it in himself, supressing his powers and allowing him to have a normal life. Spider-Man's disappearance causes Harry to further spiral into insanity.

Yeah heard about a love triangle involving doc ock early in development, but jesus
>>88355453
>Tired of the constant persecution, Peter steals the pacer chip and injects it in himself, supressing his powers and allowing him to have a normal life.
I think I can see where the "Peter loses his powers" plot of the film came from.
>>88355453
Source?Of course there's no source. /co/ will still eat this shit up.
Why can't minority heros hang in the top 100?
>>88355281
Because writers expect them to by virtue of being minorities.
>>88355281
Because skin color is not a substitute for good writing.
>>88355281
They keep pushing Cyborg but they never say WHY.
What defines him? What is his central theme? How do his supporting characters and villains reflect that theme? Does he even HAVE any stable villains and supporting characters?
They need to focus on that before anything else.
So how many more years until original Wolverine comes back?
>>88355265
Depends on how well the Logan movie is received.
>meme covers
Why is this allowed?

>The "Man in the Shadows" featured on the post-credits scene for THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN was originally Electro, as evidenced by his arrival and departure followed by lightning strikes. He was envisioned as Norman Osborn's superhuman enforcer and the killer of Richard and Mary Parker, causing the electrical malfunction that leads to their plane crashing, but the idea was later scrapped.
What went wrong? This actually sounded pretty cool.
Because despite an excellent director, composer, cast, and budget, the Amazing Spider-Man films had shit writing.
Sometimes, I just wonder what it would be like if Sony tried to continue their plans for a Spider Man cinematic universe. It would be pretty interesting
>>88354832
I would've watched "Spider-Man VS. The Amazing Spider-Man".
