Out of all of Marvel's events, where will Civil War 2 end up? At the bottom even below Ultimatum and Secret Wars 2? Or somewhere above that?

Just spent five hours on a Sunday in a statistics review session. I kinda feel like I want to die. Starting the trip back home meow. Hopefully I shouldn't be gone for too long.
Please send bumps if you are able. Thank you!
Meant to include this earlier, a different anon posted some pretty baller Superman stories a while ago so I thought I'd include a link.
Adventures of Superman thread here:
>>88268840 (Cross-thread)
Several Anons have story-timed three of the distinct chapter stories from the Adventures of Superman (2013-2014) digital first - which was all one shot stories by a large collection of writers and artist, some of whom had never worked for DC or worked on Superfamily or JSA/JLA type books. There are three stories, the first started by one Anon (OP) that is by Joe Keatinge with a whole mess of artists, finished by a second Anon, and then we had another story, a collaboration between Bryan J. L. Glass and Michael Avon Oeming posted earlier today, and I just added a Ron Marz (Emerald Twilight) story featuring art by Evan "Doc" Shaner.

http://www.comicsbeat.com/why-are-the-comics-retailers-worried-about-mass-store-closings/
>The Current Problems at the Shops
>The problems being articulated to me are the following:
>DC’s prices are too low
>Customers disappearing
>Customers are switching to tpbs/book format
>Customers don’t like Marvel’s output
>Rising cost of doing business
>Diamond credit crackdown
>Let’s do this by the numbers.
>DC’s Prices Are Too Low – Pricing has always been a thorny issue, but this one just makes me roll my eyes. We’ve gone from retailers complaining about customers pushing back on Marvel’s $4.99 first issues and having to just WHY an indie publisher needs to charge $3.99 for a comic to make a living to whining about DC not charging a high enough cover price? Stop. Just stop.
>Are DC’s sales partially due to a lower cover price? I expect so, yes. It encourages sampling and it’s easier on the wallet when you’re bi-weekly. And after a DISMAL couple of years, DC really needed that wide sampling. And some of those readers who sampled new titles stuck around or we’d be hearing a lot MORE about shops being in trouble. Thing is, when Marvel first started upping the price on their more popular titles to $3.99, they didn’t lose a huge amount of sales on most titles (the exception being Loeb’s Hulk, IIRC). If people LIKE the comic, they’ll pay $3.99. I don’t think DC is stealing Marvel sales purely on price point. It probably helped getting the initial audience and it probably helps retaining them, but it’s not such a big factor if Marvel’s creating material the audience clearly prefers. On two books a reader is lukewarm on, $2.99 is going to be $3.99, though.
>So let’s just leave this topic alone and maybe you’ll keep those DC sales you currently have, rather than risk audience abandonment with a price hike. I wish your customers were made of money, but not all of them are. (Just the ones paying ridiculous prices for variants.)
>Customers disappearing – This one startled me a little bit, but I’ve heard multiple stories about the customers, including regulars, dropping out since… perhaps the beginning of the Fall? So after Rebirth finished launching and around Civil War 2? There’s not a lot of agreement about why this is happening. A particularly heated presidential campaign distracting people. More customers switching to tpbs. Marvel fans throwing in the towel. Lots of different explanations, but not a clear narrative. Nobody’s said “customers switching to digital,” and I doubt a regular’s going to admit that to his shop very often, but let’s throw that out there as a possibility. Death of 1000 cuts? Enough people are agreeing this is happening for me to believe it, but the “why” is up for debate.
>Customers Switching to TPB/Book Format – Look, if you’re a regular visitor to this site, you’ve read me discussing this before. It hasn’t changed and the needle keeps moving in this direction. The short version: new readers don’t want to pay $3.99 for 20 pages that are a little on the thin side, in terms of story. They want to get the complete story and not worry about running down individual issues. Price and packaging are factors here. Readers coming in at older ages, not being trained to make a weekly comics run is a factor. It’s not nearly as convenient for the retailer and the ordering cycle, but this isn’t a new thing and it doesn’t look like it’s doing anything but gaining steam, so retailers would be advised to dip their toe in and get acclimated if they haven’t already.
>The challenges here, and these are DEADLY SERIOUS challenges to retailers. When a regular customer decides to switch to tpbs, there’s a gap before the new material can be collected in book format. And it can be over six months. In the case of DC’s Rebirth, first volumes start in… March? Let’s just say if I was one of those shop owners who wasn’t sure if he was going to make it to January, I wouldn’t be real happy with DC not having those Rebirth tpbs ready for holiday shoppers when I could use the money to survive.
So it turns out, that woman Carol arrested because Ulysses said she was Hydra even though it turned out he was wrong about her briefcase was in fact not Hydra. And now she's pissed and wants revenge on the entire super-powered communiy.
Way to go Carol!
Kudos to Bendis for reusing her when we all thought she was just a plot device. Still, if she wasn't Hydra or a terrorist in the first place doesn't that mean that Ulysses was wrong?
Or is the point that she'll become one? No Bendis-written tie-in has so far done the "self-fulfilling prophecy" shit that so many others did.
>>88444783
>doesn't that mean that Ulysses was wrong?
Yes, very much so. We've seen him be wrong about future events before, but this is the first time he couldn't even get PRESENT events, like the fact that this person wasn't a Hydra agent and her suitcase was empty, right.
It doesn't seem like a self-fulfilling prophecy because she hasn't joined Hydra and her plan is to attack the "community of the super-powered" using "secrets", not destroy global markets.
How exactly this plan could possibly work, especially since the only big secret Jessica knows is that Peter Parker is Spider-Man, is another story.
So she was a supervillain the whole time. Carol was right.
So I finally caved and marathoned through all of Rick and Morty, and I have to say, I don't get the fanbase that keeps yelling about how profound and deep this is. I was told it was futurama and sliders with philosophy, but all I'm saying is try-hard humor for edgy white kids.
Am I missing something? I told my friend who recommended me this and he got really mad at me. He got really pompous and said stuff like "you're just not seeing the bigger picture" and "maybe you're just not smart enough to get it." After I had said I seen and understood everything he was pointing out, he got mad and called me a cynic and left.
I don't know what the bigger picture is supposed to be, it seems pretty straight forward. Aside from the episode where they have to bury their own bodies or the one where Rick finally gains a sense of ethics, there's not a whole lot going on here. I'm not seeing the bigger picture. All I'm seeing is college freshman psychology 101 and humor straight from Animal House.
Can someone enlighten me as to how this is so much deeper and better than Futurama?
Anyone who says that it's deeper and better than fututama has no idea what they're talking about
>>88444586
This. Anyone here will tell you flat out this is just another flash in the pan Adult Swim cartoon. It'll run for 3 seasons, get canceled, have a huge cult following that will spark a less good revival on Netflix and then stop again after season 5 with little to show other than a few tear bait episodes.
Your friend sounds like an autistic man child.
A lot of my friends love it but aside from the ones who're media majors, can't really say much beyond that "it's good and funny".
Like, I get that theres the bit of philosophical nonsense thrown in by Rick, but it's thrown in very on the nose were I don't even really need to analyze it to get the deeper meaning. It's more or less spelled out, at least to me.
It's a good show, but I like Futurama a bit more because it wasn't really trying to be edgy or preachy (or at least, too preachy, it's been a while since I saw the show.)
What does /co/ think of artist like Fred Perry who based there entire career on imitating the manga/anime asthetic?
I personally hate it. I like both my mango and my comic books but I think they should stay 50 feet away from each other at all times because most of the time they come off looking really awful (this guy's entire career, Marvel Mangaverse, etc).
And no, I don't give a shit about the whole furry aspect of his art
>>88443379
I jerked many times for Fred Perry art, I also like Adam Warren.
I really don't care. There's room for everything, and the mango cribbing artists of yore are still better than today's "Who gives a shit about anatomy or originality? This shitty middle-school doodling is my STYLE" artists.
The ones who are actually decent at art can usually still fuse western and eastern styles into their own. I was about to mention Warren >>88443418, and of course Felipe Smith.

>future solicits paint Inhumans as the good guy rebels and mutants as the evil empire
>"#3. Now, the only hope for the Inhuman legacy rests in the hands of an unlikely crew of young Inhumans"
>"#4. The young Inhumans devise a crazy plan to infiltrate Muir Island… The only thing standing in their way: the master of magnetism himself, MAGNETO"
>Marvel wants to paint Mutants as the bad guys and the Inhumans as the good guys who have to save the day and fight against the evil invading mutants
>Mutants are evil for wanting to get rid of the Austraila-sized death cloud that is getting stronger and will make the whole Earth unlivable for mutants
>Mutants don't want to die or lose their home planet
>Inhumans apparently knew the cloud was always going to eradicate the mutants and was incurable
>but we are suppose to side with the genocidal inhumans because muh sacred peanut
Is...Is Marvel fucking insane? Or autistic?
Are they that insane to paint the X-Men as villains because of film rights THEY sold long ago?
Is Marvel really expecting anyone to side with the Inhumans and their death cloud?
Do they expect people to stop reading X-Men and go read Inhumans? Why?!!!
>>88443357
I don't think anyone is rooting for the Inhumans. I mean, they already made the X-Men bad guys for AvX, and that was after the X-Men suffered through decimation, school bus explosions and kids getting sniped on their lawn. The Avengers? They had to hide from Norman Osborn a bit, then get this grand celebration around the clock for simply existing.
I mean, fuck, the way the Avengers were introduced in AvX is that they save a crashing plane, while the X-Men have their leader kick a teenage girl in the stomach.
>>88443450
Don't worry, Inhuman youth is there to save the day.
>>88443450
They had the Mutants hit first aka invade first and all the solicits are about the Inhumans fighting back against the evil Mutants. To the point that Storm joins the Inhumans.
Marvel is still trying to make us side with the Inhumans an their giant peanut cloud of holocaust.
They even brought in Kamala and soon Moon Girl to try and make them look good.
