Was Beast ever a good character? He's supposed to be the smartest X-Men character yet he just makes the most retarded decisions constantly. There's a reason not even Claremont wanted anything to do with him.

Even though there's a lot of silly moments, I think this movie has the best motion capture of any of the Imagemovers films, and I think Jim Carrey actually performs really well as Scrooge.

I liked it, but the pseudo live action style was a mistake. There's so many cartoony and over the top scenes that would have worked so much better with a more traditionally animated look. Instead, there's a lot of very awkward scenes in the film.

This has been bugging me for a while, /co/.
I do not care for Mutants.
I do not care for their plight.
If anything, all I can really feel bad for is the Mutants who have debilitating physical mutations, like that Beak guy or that girl who was just a brain.
What I'm saying is, I think Mutants doth protest too much. In almost every piece of X-Men related media, they love to play up the whole "we are different from humanity, they hate us and persecute us" angle. Which was fine the first few times, but now? It's horrendous.
Like, I mean, first of all, who cares? The only real Mutants who'd actually get any persecution are guys like Beak or Beast or Toad or something, and the majority of the X-Men are all noticeably attractive. Who gives a crap what "THE EVUL BAAAD HUMENZ" do when you can literally just blast your problems away with a thought?
And why are the normal humans almost always just dicks to the Mutants in particular? Can't we get at least ONE consistent human ally, here? Maybe a liaison for the government to fund their school. Something like that. Even the Justice League gets more than the X-Men do, and /they/ have Amanda Waller running around.
It's even more ridiculous when you realize that humans have every reason in the universe to fear Mutants. When you're a Mutant, you fall into one of three categories: you're either an aloof superhero, a faceless and useless goon, or a domestic terrorist. And seeing how often Mutants switch sides . . .
It'd be great if there were more Mutants who were just unironic normal people who want nothing to do with the Brotherhood or the X-Men.
Also, for perspective: the most prominent GOOD Mutant, is the most powerful telepath in the world (so to speak). The most prominent ANTAGONISTIC Mutant, can control magnetic fields at will. So I feel like assembling a task force designed to deal with rogue Mutants is probably pretty fuckin' ideal and justified.
