Probably not. More than likely the rights were purchased for cheap, and they slapped together a cover that they figured would convince grandparents to buy it for a few bucks. As for the content, they more than likely didn't localize it at all. They just cut it together to match a slapdash script they wrote and rushed it out the door for a cheap as possible.
Happens all the time. It's just a quick way to make a few dollars by stuffing something in the rack next to the checkout lane.

Does anyone know where I can grab the Spinnerette pdfs? Only option seems to buy them and not sure I want to sink money into this series yet. The online copies are low quality and it's hard to read the text and it often makes reference to stuff that happened in the Vol.1 extra comic.

Why are there people like Somecallmejohnny and other youtubers that stopped watching SpongeBob after a certain point or stopped watching it for a time, or stopped watching it regularly? It's fucking SpongeBob. The greatest show ever made and the 2nd longest running kids show next to Arthur. I'm not sure who those e-celebs are but the show took a drastic turn in writing around the time the movie came out.
The humor lost any wittiness it had and traded it for a more crude style that's easy to grasp for children. Also a lot of the writers left around that time to make other shows.
