Real answer, it well outlived its natural lifespan. Had it been canceled at the end of season 3 when the rest of Kids WB went down, it would've been just a subpar show, but Cartoon Network kept it around as a zombie since they were entering a big Canadian animation kick at the time. So it kept getting renewed and driven into the ground. By the time it finally ended in 2014 (NINE YEARS AFTER IT STARTED), Cartoon Network had largely kicked their Canadian addiction to the curb, so they let the show finally die.
