Yet despite their total ownership over him, and the fact that they do technically have parents of their own, Grim does often act as a sort of guardian figure over them. When things get too magical or difficult, Grim is the first to arrive and assist with whatever adversary they're facing. In an abstract sort of way, these kids are practically his adopted offspring.

One of these children, Mandy, has no interest in becoming the Grim Reaper. She instead prefers to operate from the sidelines, getting the powerful being to abide by her wishes.

Remember how Bleedman had Grim and Mandy married, only for Grim to get cucked by Nergal Jr and Mandy to abort the baby and raise that as Grim's son?

Didn't the origin of where grim got his scythe change at least three times?

One where he just found it

9. Raiders of the Lost Art (January 24, 2017)
>LOST MEMORIES — When Damien Darhk and Malcolm Merlyn try to capture Rip Hunter in 1967, they create an aberration big enough to draw the attention of the Legends: George Lucas (Matt Angel) never becomes a filmmaker. When the team arrives they discover that Rip has no memories of his past due to "time drift" and is just a graduate film student. After trying to convince Rip of who he was, they discover that he possesses an incredibly powerful artifact known as the Spear of Destiny, which the Legion of Doom is after. Ray and Nate, who owe their scientific careers to Lucas's movies, realize that the aberration has affected them personally, making it difficult to help the team. Meanwhile, Rory asks Stein for help and makes him promise to keep it a secret from the team.

10. The Legion of Doom (January 31, 2017)
>TAKING RISKS — The Legends are determined to find and rescue Rip, but first must focus on locating the Spear of Destiny. Stein finds the perfect person to help in his daughter, Lily, but knows involving her will be risky. Meanwhile, Merlyn and Darhk realize that Thawne is pitting them against each other.

9. Supergirl Lives (January 23, 2017)
>KEVIN SMITH DIRECTS — Kara is moved by the story of a missing woman, Izzy (Harley Quinn Smith) and decides to investigate despite Snapper Carr’s order to leave it alone. Kara takes Mon-El with her to the last place Izzy was seen and the duo find themselves thrust through a portal to another planet, Slaver’s Moon, where the downtrodden are sold as slaves. The leader of the trafficking ring is none other than Roulette (Dichen Lachman). To make matters worse, Slaver’s Moon has a red sun, which means Kara and Mon-El are stripped of their powers and stuck on the planet with no way home. Meanwhile, back on Earth, Alex blames herself for Kara’s disappearance, fearing she’s become too focused on her new relationship with Maggie and too complacent in watching out for her sister.

10. We Can Be Heroes (January 30, 2017)
>LIVEWIRE IS SET LOOSE UPON CENTRAL CITY — After Livewire (Brit Morgan) seemingly breaks out of prison, Supergirl is intent on recapturing her. After training Mon-El, she takes him with her when she sees Livewire attack the NCPD but things go awry when Mon-El puts Supergirl before the citizens of National City. Meanwhile, James decides to come clean with Kara and M’Gann experiences a psychic attack and collapses into a coma.

11. The Martian Chronicles (February 6, 2017)
>WHITE MARTIANS ATTACK THE DEO — White Martian bounty hunter Armek (Terrell Tilford) descends on National City intent on taking M’gann back to Mars to face her punishment as a traitor. Kara and Hank determine that the best way to keep M’gann safe is to bring her to the DEO. However, when it is revealed that Armek shapeshifted into M’gann and is now loose in the building, the team realize he could be disguised as any one of them.

I Am Gotham was really fun imo

Night of the Monster Men was a shitty filler crossover King wasn't in charge of so I don't blame him too much for that dumb story.

I Am Suicide was mediocre and pointless and I don't really get what he was going for with it. I also hate Janin's art, at least in that particular story.

The Catwoman stuff is okay though I'm not the biggest Bruce/Selina fan personally.

The way they're doing bimonthly books with intermittent crossovers makes it difficult for writers to write real "runs" unfortunately. The Tomasi Superman book had the same problem with filler issues like the dumb Frankenstein arc. The stories don't flow the way they should. Monthly series are doing better honestly.

All-Star Batman is a better book at the moment. I'm not sure what King's take on Batman is exactly. Snyder is much more clear and blunt about his Batman.

Dropped it at issue 8 or 9, really didn't impress me at all.

I was never a fan of Batman in the first place so I only checked it out because Tom King was writing. To my surprise it was boring as shit, didn't expect it since I really liked Sheriff, Omega Men and Vision. Not sure if it's because the plot of the book is Johns mandated, King is constricted by editorial and doesn't really about writing Batman, he lost all the magic along the way or it's just me not enjoying the character and setting. Maybe it's all 4.

The costume for her other show was bad enough, I can't imagine what a 2017 interpretation will look like. Only good thing to come out of this if it gets picked up is that the comic will start up again.
