Swamp Thing
>>89695974
Looks like pre-Moore Swamp Thing. Still lots of crazy shit, but on a less cosmic scale, Cthulhu not withstanding. Not bad.
>>89695974
good comics
Post superheroes and villains in relatively healthy relationships.

The cutest
Who are they supposed to appeal to?
>>89695788
Me, I suppose.
Mission accomplished.
>>89695788
shotafags

Pedos.
And kids I guess.
He made Iceman gay cause he was getting close to Kitty Pryde
Is Star Lord next?
>>89695673
Yes, when Fag-lord meets Nova again they'll come out of the closet and confess their feelings to each other. Then a new comic series will come out called Galaxies Gayest!
>>89695673
No, Bendis self inserts as Quill. He has his approval.
no
Bendis next book is Defenders so probably gay Daredevil or Iron Fist or maybe a black female Daredevil or something
Does anyone else here read animation news?
What sites do you read?
Early on I used to read Cartoon Brew when Jerry was there but not anymore. Now I read Awn and Animation Magazine.
>>89695187
I sometimes visit CB, but only briefly (they are too drunk on the smell of their own farts atm). More often I use Toonzone (an european animation news site).
Without question, kidscreen is the best in the business. TBI Kids is also adequate. These sites aren't geared for the consumer. They're geared for people in the industry. As such, every bit of news in the industry gets posted there.
http://kidscreen.com/

Like this. Is any other site going to report that this piece of shit cartoon is airing in Austria? I don't think so. But if you care about the industry, the stuff that crosses these wires is always interesting.
I learn about so much shit from these sites.

They require I give permission to some weird scripts from weird sites, just to run the site.
Am I right in thinking that Ant-man Hank Pym is one of the more powerful heroes in marvel?
My thinking:
>Skillful fighter
>Can move and fight undetected with the strength of full size
>overwhelming size and incredible strength in giant form
>ability to switch along a continuum of sizes while in combat
>capable of deploying swarms of insects
>capable of shrinking enemies as far as he wants
>One of the most intelligent humans in the marvel universe
It was more interesting when the ants spoke to him
I still don't know the context on how things got to this point, if anybody can storytime it that would be helpful
>>89694232
Hank needed a writer capable of a few thinks:
-Having a good understanding of his stormy character and mood (everyone knows what I mean), complexes (same) and actual charming traits (he liked fun, he was a bit paranoid, he was pop cultural geek-ish, he had a big heart and was easy to trigger, and liked to risk himself).
-Having imagination and creativity enough to work with his power set and intelligence.
-Having imagination enough to give him new antagonists and villains.
-Having a good sense of humour, black one, if possible.
I mean, I'm not an expert on Pym, but for the few times I've read him, I think that could make an interesting and fun character to read. One I totally would read, actually.
Be honest: Is he a Villain Mary Sue?
>>89694076
Yes, since the panther god said "Doom can do no wrong".
>>89694076
>Doom
>Villain
>>89694076
>villain
anon pls
Story-times used to be the backbone of /co/, not some lame-ass cartoon generals or SJW complaints. I'm bringing back /co/llege. I, headmaster Jimmies will be story-timing as often as possible in order to combat the influx of trash that has infested /co/. You are all welcome to take on the moniker of Headmaster Jimmies to combat this.
/co/ is love.

Cap looks so young in this comic....
So when are we getting an Avengers/GotG crossover? Infinity War, possibly?
>>89693733
I guess that´s the plan.
Hopefully no one important will get killed in Vol2
>>89693794
I'm just assuming that IW is gonna be the final chapter for the MCU.
>>89693892
Nah. Next series is them getting together the 10 best fighters in the universe to fight other universes.
For fucks sake, now I see normies wearing Star Labs t-shirts. STAR LABS T-SHIRTS!
What a normie would learn about DC watching the movies? How is everything doom and gloom? How Clark's parents are fucked up? How Batman doesn't have a problem with killing simple thugs, but would go out of his way to save child-killing psychopaths?
People who watch the series now know about the Speed Force, Nanda Parbat, the Dominators, the Multiverse, Star Labs, Meta-humans and even fucking Rip Hunter. And in a FUN way, instead of gloomy autism.

It's easier to develop Lore in a TV show rather than a movie
That and the fact that the DCCW doesn't have Snyder
>>89693559
But when a movie REFUSES to present the lore, then what?
Look at BvS. What a normie would learn from it?
>>89693698

How does it exactly?

I've been loving Birthright
So I recently sat down and read New 52 Superman comics #1-51 and all I can say is WHAT THE FUCK.
>#1-6
Alright so it introduces Superman and where he works and all that and has a weird plot about nanites. Not terrible, but not very good for first issues and hooking people for more.
>#7-12
Three 2 issue stories. First focused on Helspont and seems to be leading up to something big in the future. One about some edgy girl stealing a locket and hates everyone. And then some random alien kills a bunch of people in Russia before getting sent back to his world. Again not terrible, but Helspont story never continues and the edgy girl is never ever seen again so overall these were a waste despite being somewhat interesting.
>#13-17 H'el on Earth
I personally liked H'el despite some people not really liking him, but the problem here is its a crossover event so one issue H'el has just shown up and the next issue its basically him putting his master plan in motion.
>#18-24
Pretty much a shit arc. Superman is next to useless for most of it while psionic people fight each other. Psycho Pirate shows up out of nowhere for pretty much no reason. Lois is a psionic now....just terrible what the fuck...
>#25 Krypton Returns
Now what the fuck is this? I'm just tossed into the end of a story. Reading the H'el comic its great he came back but seriously another stupid crossover and disjointed story.
>#26-31
Superman fights parasite and Lois loses her memory of Clark being Superman, but then comes back as Brainiac Lois and Superman is now Doomsday? WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS???
>>89693318
>#33-38
Finally a solid coherent story. Ulysses ends up in prison and he could come back as either a redeemed hero or still be angry at Superman. I wonder what will--- Never mind he'll never show up again.
#39-51
Just fuck my shit up. The absolute most trash stories i've ever read about Superman. Not only is most of it disconnected and disjointed like the rest of the series its just plain trash. Who the fuck thought Superman being a wrestler was a good idea? No powers Superman just sucks. Awful. I love Vandal Savage but he's ruined just by being associated with this.
>#52
>#51 was Superman pulling Lois into the sky to talk to her
>#52 opens up with Superman battling that guy from Fantastic Four
>close book
So honestly guys what the fuck is this? Why can't we get a coherent story? How can they expect people to follow along when they put bits and pieces into every other comic. It's almost pointless to have a numbering system when nothing follows up or matters.
And then to top it all of they just kill off Superman. Jonathon Carroll is forgotten by Lois half way through. I know Superman has some relationship with Wonder Woman, but then he doesn't. Just why. Are all comics like this?
>>89693348
>Just why
The people behind the scenes had no fucking idea what they were doing. Constant shakeups both with creative and editorial had people changing directions mid sprint
> Are all comics like this?
No of course not. Why would ONE comic represent all of them? It doesn't work that way for any other form of entertainment
Superbro was a mistake.
>Male hero/female villain fight scene
>Its drawn/animated like he is trying to rape her
examples?
>>89693179
>>Male hero/female villain fight scene
>>Its drawn/animated like she is trying to rape him
>>89693246
Not OP but
Wonder Woman vs Mongol comes to mind
Uncanny X-Men? Adjectiveless? X-Force? X-Factor? Gen X? Age of Apocalypse?
I don't need high literature either, as long as it's not boring it's fine.
>>89692368
X-Men Alpha was pretty cool.
>>89692368
The issues of Excalibur written by Alan Davis. They tie up some lingering threads from Claremont's run. The issues Davis draws as well are beautiful. Phoenix vs Galactus is fun.
Cable by Joe Casey and Ladronn is pretty cool too. Art is a neat mix of Kirby and Moebius.
>>89692368
Generation X and X-Man were good. Generally you should stick to the secondary titles, the whole line was infected with event shit at this time and the main titles are unreadable but the outer rings of the X-Men solar system were least affected.
